833: Chapter 265: The Return of the Zither Emperor – Undying Legion of Demon Dragon (Part 2) 833: Chapter 265: The Return of the Zither Emperor – Undying Legion of Demon Dragon (Part 2) Actually, when Ye Yinzhu led the Undying Demon Dragon Knights back, he saw that only Master of the Dark Tower, Slone, was manding from the air, not two or three Tower Masters from Faran’s Seventh Tower as he had imagined.
His heart had already settled.
Having visited Faran in person and being familiar with the strength of Qin City, if there had been more than three Tower Masters from Faran, the oute of this war would have been up in the air.
But with only Slone present, Ye Yinzhu was confident of victory.
Slone wanted to retreat; it was no longer a matter of him sparing Qin City, but whether Zither Emperor, Ye Yinzhu, would spare him.
Ye Yinzhu’s hatred for Slone ran deep.
If not for him, how would his teacher Phil Jackson have died?
If not for him, how would Sura have barely escaped death, and how would his own vision and taste have disappeared?
The mastermind behind all this suffering was none other than the despicable Master of the Dark Tower before him.
Under Slone’s mand, the Faran Army quickly mobilized to retreat in the direction they came from, but the appearance of the Grim Reaper Dragon Wolf Cavalry pletely disrupted their retreat.
On the other side, the Amethyst Legion also rebounded from the brink, with the long-oppressed Advanced-rank Magical Beasts rolling back at the enemy under the mand of Dragon Lion Nuo Yun.
The Grim Reaper Dragon Wolf Cavalry, like a sharp dagger, stabbed directly at the enemy’s vitals.
Although they were only three hundred strong, the ferocity of their coordinated assault was something the People of Faran had never seen.
Under Ye Hongyan’s guidance, the offensive power of the Grim Reaper Dragon Wolf Cavalry was maximized, and a faint black glow began to appear around their bodies.
This time, it was not exerted with full force, but contained within themselves.
What effect would the Power of Divine Judgement produce when it possessed a body?
The Grim Reaper Dragon Wolf Knights quickly provided an answer: indomitable invincibility.
Any weapon or powerful Magical Beast would find their defenses torn through with ease by the Judgement-infused blade, as if it were merely paper; even the Stone Skin of a Mammoth couldn’t withstand it.
Wherever they went, chaos ensued.
And as lives of Faran knights were lost, the fighting spirit of the Grim Reaper Dragon Wolf Cavalry only grew more fierce.
The dark blue tide had pletely crashed into the enemy’s ranks within a few breaths, wreaking havoc.
The Undying Legion of Demon Dragon had also arrived at the gates of Qin City.
Like at the beginning of the battle in the sky, the first wave of magic fell upon the enemy.
Despite the Mages of Faran’s desperate resistance, which reduced its effects somewhat, still over five hundred Faran knights perished.
The quality of the Faran knights was indeed astonishing; even in death, they protected the Mages of Faran with their lives.
They used their own bodies and even the bodies of their mounts to block the magic of the Dragon Bones, buying time for the Mages’ survival.
The next moment, the army of Dragon Bones had charged into the midst of the Faran Legion.
The Mages of Faran were rapidly placed on the ground by their knights, who, igniting their mightiest strength, faced the lifeless Dragon Bones.
They were using their lives to buy time against their foes.
Strong individual willpower is hard to sway the overall battle situation, and the current scenario was just that.
Although the death-defying spirit of the Faran knights afforded the Mages an opportunity, these Mages were always on the brink of annihilation.
Their own Magic Power was already more than half spent, and upon entering Qin City, they no longer had the support of an Array, greatly diminishing the whole strength of the Faran Army.
In this ebb and flow, even the Faran Knights who were hard-pressed against the Amethyst Legion couldn’t hold on much longer.
War Behemoth Glacis roared, ready to unleash his mightiest offensive technique, but Zi’s voice reached his ears right on time, stopping him in his tracks.
Zi nodded towards War Behemoth Glacis and Mountain Giant Ming, then whispered something into An Qi’s ear.
The Three Sacred Beasts ascended into the sky, exiting the ground battlefield, handing over the main control of the Amethyst Legion to the three Platinum Behemoth Kings and Dragon Lion Nuo Yun.
An Qi watched Zi’s ascending figure, a plex light flashing in her eyes before she swiftly took to the sky, flying toward the direction outside of Qin City.
The words Zi said to her were simple.
Don’t ask why, just leave the area of Qin City, pretend to flee, and after this war, you will be my wife.
Originally, upon seeing An Qi, Zi’s senses weren’t as clear as usual, his heart full of fervor and bloodlust.
He only wanted to protect An Qi in his embrace, preventing anyone from hurting her.
But when Ye Yinzhu returned, just as Slone had spotted them earlier, he immediately saw Zi and An Qi, and right away, Ye Yinzhu transmitted a message to Zi, telling him to have An Qi leave first, not to let Slone detect the relationship between An Qi and Zi.
After Sura’s incident, Ye Yinzhu learned a hard lesson.
He did not wish for Zi to lose his six senses like him.
As long as Slone hadn’t discovered An Qi’s betrayal, he wouldn’t strike at her.
And if he, Ye Yinzhu, were to slay Slone here, would he still fear not retrieving An Qi’s soul?
The Three Sacred Beasts ascended, and in the blink of an eye, they were behind Ye Yinzhu.
The light emanating from the Sacred Beasts began to brighten, as their own energies started to burn.
Seeing the appearance of the three Divine Beasts, a change swiftly crossed Master of the Dark Tower, Sloan’s face.
A low chant continued to echo as he suddenly spat out a mouthful of fresh blood, quickly touching the center of his forehead with his right hand.
Immediately after, an overwhelming surge of Soul Power burst forth, enveloping the fresh blood he had just expelled and coalescing into a sinister blood orb.
The chant, deep and obscure, continued to rise from Sloan’s lips as a gigantic purple-black hexagram with a diameter of over thirty meters appeared beneath his feet out of nowhere, emitting a ghastly glow.
Ye Yinzhu was all too familiar with this hexagram; Sloan had used the same power back in Landias.
However, Ye Yinzhu was not panicked.
He snorted coldly, “Sloan, if I could defeat you once, I can defeat you a second time.
Four Sacred Beasts, bine.”
Sloan seemed no longer able to hear Ye Yinzhu’s voice.
The pale ghostly flames in his eyes had pletely turned into a blood red, and a layer of purple-black demonic patterns had appeared on his fair skin, each pattern flickering with an eerie luster.
From beneath his feet, the tremendous purple-black hexagram surged upward, swallowing Sloan’s body pletely with its massive gloom within moments.
Seeing the Four Sacred Beasts appear, Sloan realized that it would not be easy for him to leave unscathed today.
Ye Yinzhu’s Douqi strength had also broken through to the Sub-God rank and was not below his own.
To escape, he needed even greater power.
Therefore, he did not hesitate to consume his own life and Soul Origin, using his vital blood and soul as a sacrifice to once again invoke that dreadful magic.
A scream filled with agony emitted from Sloan’s mouth as he slowly floated up within the deep amethyst column of light, simultaneously undergoing violent transformations.
The Soul Bead detached from the black Magic Wand and entered his body through his chest.
Sloan’s body trembled violently as his originally less than two-meter-tall form began to grow.
In moments, he had reached a height of ten meters.
A pair of huge black wings burst out from his back.
Amid the sounds of his dense bones, the black wings slowly unfolded, reaching the edge of the purple-black column’s reach.
The gigantic wings were enough to pletely cloak Sloan’s body.
Sloan’s clothes had long been shattered.
Purple-black scales began to emerge from his feet, gradually encasing his entire body.
It was an armor style no one had ever seen, shielding every part except for the head.
His face gradually became ethereal, and a set of curved, thick limbs grew out of the top of his head.
At the center of the two horns, a clump of black flame burned.
His arms slowly spread open, and at each hand, a two-meter-long blade grew out, connecting with his fingers like nails.
The previously internalized Soul Bead slowly appeared at the center of his chest, with a glob of milky-white flame burning within, as if it were the very core of the person.
As Sloan transformed, Ye Yinzhu also underwent magnificent changes.
The War Behemoth Glacis and Mountain Giant Ming charged towards Ye Yinzhu from either side.
In mid-air, the energy burning on their bodies rapidly altered its form; the original colors of the energy pletely vanished.
Acpanied by deep roars, the dazzling blue-silver energy rushed into Ye Yinzhu’s body in an instant.
Ye Yinzhu’s entire body shook fiercely.
His arms uncontrollably extended to his sides, and his legs stood apart as wide as his shoulders.
His head tilted upward, his long black hair moving without wind, fluttering behind him.
Shan and Lei’s wings on his back swayed, their light being even more vivid.
A ring of blue-silver brilliance erupted suddenly around Ye Yinzhu, forming a blue halo with a diameter of five meters.
Then, the blue-silver halos began to close in stages, forming solid entities.
It was that dazzling set of blue-silver Armor.
They split into numerous parts, surrounding Ye Yinzhu.
Each piece emitted an extraordinarily brilliant light.
The breastplate was the first to cover Ye Yinzhu’s chest, emitting a deep metallic clang.
It was followed by the shoulder armor, back armor, arm armor, waistguard, battle skirt, leg armor, greaves, and War Boots.
Each piece of Armor seemed tailor-made for him, fitting perfectly.
When the last headband clasped onto Ye Yinzhu’s head, a dazzling flash of blue-silver brilliance burst forth.
The trident-shaped protrusion at the center of the headband seemed to gather the force of heaven and earth, shining with a layer of twisting light of Thunder and Lightning.
At the center of the headband, a rhombus-shaped blue gemstone materialized, imbued with bluish-purple light.
This was something Ye Yinzhu lacked the last time he wore the blue-silver Armor.
It was only because his strength had reached the Sub-God rank that he could truly use this set of Armor and fully reveal its power before him.
Only the circular depression at the front of the chest made this otherwise perfect suit seem slightly flawed.
As if sensing his teacher’s presence, Ye Yinzhu’s black eyes softened as he felt warmth and longing, but quickly, his expression sharpened.
Teacher, watch from the world beyond, today is the day I will avenge you.
