Now reading: Chapter 93 Chapter 24 Artefact within the Zither Part 1_1 from Zither Emperor, a Xuanhuan novel by Tang Jia San Shao.

93: Chapter 24: Artefact within the Zither (Part 1)_1 93: Chapter 24: Artefact within the Zither (Part 1)_1 While Ye Yinzhu was still contemplating what to select, he suddenly heard Nesta exclaim in surprise, “Wow, what a massive sword!

Who could actually use this?”

Sword?

Curious, Ye Yinzhu hurried over, bypassing several Duo Bao Pavilions and saw a dumbfounded Nesta.

Nesta was gazing at a weapon in front of him.

It was a sword, a sword so enormously huge, pletely out of the ordinary.

The Treasure Hall was spacious itself, with a height exceeding ten meters, yet this sword still had to be placed diagonally.

The tough blade was roughly one meter wide, ten meters long, and half a meter thick, the entire blade glowed dark blue.

There was no blood groove on the blade, it did not serve any purpose on such a massive sword.

The weight of it couldn’t possibly be estimated, or at least Ye Yinzhu couldn’t.

An intricate dark blue pattern ran down the center of the blade, the pattern was ancient, indicating the sword’s long history.

Who would believe this to be a sword if it weren’t for the massive hilt which was over three meters long?

Perhaps because there was no need, except for the ancient pattern, there were no other decorations on the sword’s blade or hilt.

But the hefty sensation and slight scent of blood indicated that it was definitely not merely a decorative piece.

Approaching slowly, Ye Yinzhu, like Nesta, touched the dark blue blade.

Suddenly, a sensation like an electric shock jolted through his body.

A sense of familial power intertwined with an overbearing presence enveloped him.

It seemed so familiar, as if the sword recognised him, calling out to him.

“Nesta, do you feel anything?” Ye Yinzhu instinctively asked.

Nesta shook his head in confusion, “Feel?

What do you mean?

This sword is truly peculiar!

I think it could cleave an adult giant dragon in half given its weight.

My Blood Soul Spear is the longest amongst Dragon Spears, and it’s merely about eight meters long.

This sword exceeds thirteen meters in length, it’s simply unimaginable.

Judging by its weight, only the Behemoth Beasts from the Northernmost Wilderness could wield it, and a Golden Behemoth at that.

But, Behemoths have sharp claws, they never use any weapon.”

Ye Yinzhu looked at him puzzled, was he the only one who could perceive that overpowering yet familiar sensation?

But why?

He glanced back at the faintly shimmering dark blue blade.

Looking at his reflection, Ye Yinzhu was shocked to find his normally soft and handsome face was now dominated by a purple glow radiating from his eyes, giving him a more intimidating appearance.

A gentle heat flowed through his meridians, the feeling of fullness and power returned.

As he stared at the intricate pattern on the massive blade, it seemed to morph, and the dark blue swirled into a stunning amethyst colour, the ancient pattern changing rapidly, two archaic large characters in the center of the blade shone brightly.

Amethyst—Sword—

Two simple words, but enough to make Ye Yinzhu’s heart pound.

The Amethyst Sword?

Is that its name?

“I’ll take it.

Nesta, you aren’t interested in it too, right?”

“Huh?

Yinzhu, have you gone mad?

Are you seriously thinking of being a warrior?

But, this sword is way too big for you”, Nesta looked at him, surprised.

Ye Yinzhu shook his head, “No, I’m certainly not considering being a warrior, but, I like this sword.

Maybe, one of my friends would like it too.

I’ll take it.”

Helpless, Nesta said, “Well, you’re the champion.

You have the opportunity to splurge on three items.

Suit yourself.

However, in terms of size, this sword definitely takes the lead here.

I’m not at all interested in it.

I would much rather acquire a suitable set of armor.” Finished, he hurried off to the part of the Treasure Hall where the armors were kept.

Ye Yinzhu did not place the Amethyst Great Sword into the Space Ring because he remembered Fergerson saying that the items here all carried magic markings, and this immense sword was extremely heavy.

It would have to be left here until Fergerson undid the magical imprint after an hour, only then could it be stored directly in the Space Ring.

He let go of the Amethyst Great Sword, and the sense of familiarity disappeared.

Turning around, he decided to look inside the Treasure Hall.

He was curious if there was a Zither here, if he could find an Ancient Zither, that would naturally be his best choice.

But just when he was about to leave the weapon area, something unassuming caught his eye.

It was a dagger, pitch black and quite remarkable among other radiant items.

The strangest thing was that it didn’t reflect any light at all, much like Sura’s dagger.

Approaching and instinctively, Ye Yinzhu picked up the dagger.

The dagger was about a foot and two inches in length, fitting somewhere between a short sword and a dagger, with the handle being four inches long and the blade eight inches.

A ghastly devil’s face was carved into the end of the handle, especially its eyes, embedded with two tiny rubies, gleamed ominously.

Contrasting starkly with the Amethyst Great Sword, this dagger gave him a sense of loathing the moment he held it.

An icy sensation spread throughout his body, making him terribly unfortable.

A faint layer of black mist surrounded the surface of the dagger, perhaps the reason why the dagger reflected no light at all, even the two rubies.

After a moment, Ye Yinzhu understood why he felt repulsion towards the dagger – the fluctuation of the Dark Element on the dagger was incredibly terrifying.

A large quantity of Dark Element seemed to be sealed within the dagger by some magic, radiating waves of chilliness and malice.

Although he did not like it, Ye Yinzhu was very aware of the strength of the dagger.

When he held it, every other weapon and piece of armor nearby seemed to lose their luster, with only the Amethyst Great Sword standing its ground.

That’ll do.

Although he didn’t like it, Sura was an assassin, and he guessed that she would certainly appreciate a dagger like this.

The day she had punctured Sura’s dagger with the Zi Zhu Magic Needle, destroying the not-so-strong Magic Formation on it, Ye Yinzhu had given the Eternal Substitute Puppet to Sura as pensation.

But since the Divine Music Department’s four girls had declined his goodwill, he decided to pick a dagger from here as a gift for Sura.

Ye Yinzhu placed the dagger next to the Amethyst Great Sword, intending to pick it up along with the last item he would choose later.

Suddenly, the blue glow on the Amethyst Great Sword flickered, a surge of overbearing aura burst forth.

Acpanied by a crisp dragon chant, the black dagger was blown away by the powerful aura, turning into a shadowy streak as it flitted past Ye Yinzhu.

The blade of the dagger was embedded entirely in the Duo Bao Pavilion beside them.
