Seeing the question in her eyes, Asher chuckled.
"Even though I really wanted to appear like a hero in front of my sister-in-law..."
He scratched the back of his head awkwardly.
"It will be difficult taking away my brother’s credits."
He shrugged casually. "If you want to know what I was doing... you should ask Silas. He will explain everything."
Ivy frowned slightly.
’Was Silas hiding sothing from ?’
Just as that thought appeared... The door opened once again.
Silas walked inside.
The mont he saw Asher standing there, he rolled his eyes.
"What are you doing here?"
Asher placed a hand over his chest dramatically.
"Why shouldn’t I be here? If soone didn’t know better... they would think the Blackthorn family only has one son."
Silas ignored him completely.
Instead, he walked over to Ivy and placed a warm bowl of porridge on the table beside her.
"You should eat."
His voice softened slightly.
"You must be hungry."
Ivy nodded and slowly took a spoonful.
The warm porridge eased the emptiness in her stomach.
After a few bites, she looked between Silas and Asher.
"When did Asher return?"
Silas replied calmly.
"A few days ago."
Then his expression turned serious.
"And he brought important information."
Ivy blinked. "What information?"
Silas looked directly at her.
"We found Damien’s current hideout."
The spoon in Ivy’s hand froze.
Her eyes widened slightly.
She had been monitoring Grace’s situation closely.
Since Grace had already been rejected, Ivy had assud Damien wouldn’t pose a serious threat to the base for the ti being.
But now... They had located his hideout.
That was extrely valuable information.
Ivy suddenly turned toward Asher.
And at that mont, she realized sothing.
’So that is where he was...’
’He must have been searching for Damien all this ti.’
Which ant... He hadn’t returned earlier because he had been busy gathering this information.
A small feeling of guilt rose in her heart.
Looking at Asher sincerely, Ivy said softly,
"Thank you."
Asher waved his hand casually, as if brushing away her gratitude like dust in the air.
"There is no need to thank ."
His tone was light, almost teasing.
"You should focus on taking care of yourself first."
Ivy nodded slightly, but her thoughts had already begun drifting sowhere else.
’Asher...’
A mory from her previous life surfaced quietly in her mind.
In that life... Asher had died.
And the way he died had never left her mory.
The thought made her chest tighten slightly.
Looking at him carefully, Ivy spoke again.
"You should be careful... about the friends around you."
The room fell silent for a brief mont. Asher stared at her.
For a second, his expression looked genuinely surprised.
Then he suddenly laughed.
"You don’t need to worry about my friends."
His smile was relaxed and confident. "They are fine."
He leaned casually against the wall, folding his arms.
"In fact, I already know that my sister-in-law has changed quite a bit."
His eyes sparkled with faint amusent.
"But I still don’t fully believe your so-called divination ability."
Ivy remained silent.
Asher continued speaking, scratching the back of his head.
"At most... I would say you are like a blind cat that occasionally catches a mouse."
He chuckled softly.
"It just happens that you guessed the right things a few tis."
His tone wasn’t mocking. It was simply honest. It wasn’t because he looked down on Ivy’s abilities.
Rather, he understood one simple thing very clearly.
Ivy might have been able to predict certain events through observation, careful analysis, and sharp instincts.
But true divination?
That sounded far too unbelievable.
Still...
Even if he didn’t fully believe her, he decided he would keep her warning in mind.
’Just a little bit.’
Not too seriously. But not completely ignoring it either.
Ivy watched his relaxed expression and imdiately understood.
’He doesn’t believe .’
And she knew sothing else as well.
No matter how much she tried to convince him, it would be useless.
Forcing the matter would only make him more suspicious.
So instead of arguing, she quietly made a decision.
’Then I will prepare a backup plan.’
After chatting for a short while longer, Asher soon left the room.
The mont the door closed behind him, the atmosphere inside beca quieter.
Ivy turned her attention toward Silas.
"Where is Asher going today?"
Silas didn’t hesitate.
"He will be heading toward the eastern sector. He has so matters to deal with there."
After hearing the exact location, Ivy thought for a mont.
"Deploy so soldiers nearby."
Silas shrugged lightly. "I already did. You don’t need to worry."
Hearing that, Ivy let out a quiet breath of relief.
Then another thought crossed her mind.
Looking at Silas again, she asked,
"What about the base? How are things operating lately?"
Her brows furrowed slightly.
"I heard that the extre cold is starting to arrive."
Silas’s expression imdiately turned serious.
"The situation outside is not improving. In fact... it is getting worse every day."
The room seed to grow heavier with that statent.
Silas continued calmly.
"The temperature has been dropping steadily. Many smaller survivor camps are already struggling."
"Water resources are becoming unstable."
Ivy’s face darkened.
Just as she was about to respond...
Suddenly...
A strange sensation spread through her body.
It felt like a wave of warm energy washing over her from the inside.
Her eyes widened slightly.
Silas imdiately noticed the change in her expression. "What happened?"
His voice carried clear concern.
Ivy looked at him, slightly stunned. "It feels like..."
She hesitated. "...like I am about to break through."
Silas frowned deeply. "That is impossible."
His voice was firm. "You had a breakthrough just one month ago. How could you advance again so quickly?"
There was no jealousy in his tone. Only worry.
Because he knew sothing very dangerous.
Advancing too quickly could cause a cultivator’s body to collapse under the pressure of unstable energy.
So people had even died from it.
Silas stepped closer, his eyes carefully watching her condition.
"You should suppress it."
