"A pet? Alright, now that I have this necklace, I can put my sister at ease a little and even help her. Let’s give it a na," Xiao Manxuan said.
Thinking that she could relieve Xiao Manxue’s worries, she gladly accepted the necklace and was eager to na it.
Lin Tian was amused; her attitude had taken a complete one hundred and eighty-degree turn, but it also showed the deep affection between the sisters. However, her habit of naming things remained unchanged.
Seeing that the little girl wouldn’t be at ease without giving it a na, he pondered for a mont and said, "Let’s call it the Guardian Necklace, to protect you from harm."
"Guardian Necklace? What a nice na," Xiao Manxuan bead with happiness, no longer afraid of the Zombie Gu, and chuckled, "If it’s my Guardian Necklace, then you are my Guardian God."
"Heh heh, I am not a Guardian God, I am a male god!" Lin Tian, infected by her smile, brightened up and laughed very narcissistically.
"Cough cough..." Li Qingyun pretended to cough twice, interrupting Lin Tian’s self-indulgence. Even as soone who had seen much, she couldn’t stand to hear such boastful words from Lin Tian.
"Yueyue, go get a set of clothes and bring them here. This Japanese woman is going to wake up soon," Li Qingyun instructed her granddaughter.
Li Yue nodded and left. Soon after, she returned carrying a set of black clothes. She walked over to the Japanese woman, pried open her mouth, and poured a bottle of potion down her throat.
Not long after swallowing the potion, the Japanese woman began to cough violently and suddenly sat up, her eyes snapping open, but her pupils were lifeless, as if still trapped in a nightmare.
It took a full three minutes before the Japanese woman’s eyes gained focus. She suddenly realized she was naked, quickly covered her chest with her hands, squeezed her legs together tightly, and her face showed a fearful expression—completely different from her previous unrestrained and aggressive deanor.
"Put on these clothes first," Li Yue said emotionlessly, tossing the clothes on her.
The Japanese woman imdiately grabbed the clothes and trembled as she put them on. After dressing, she scanned her surroundings, sized up Li Yue and the others, and then fixed her gaze on Lin Tian.
"You!" Clearly recognizing Lin Tian, she frowned and asked, "Where is the person who captured ?"
Xiao Manxuan and Li Qingyun looked curiously at Lin Tian, wondering why the two recognized each other when Lin Tian had ntioned before that he knew this Japanese woman.
Lin Tian didn’t explain anything to them; it was a military operation, and so things couldn’t be explained too clearly. He faced the Japanese woman and said lightly, "Why, do you want to fight with again?"
"Fight again? I can feel that the Gu inside has been removed. What’s there to fight with you? I have regained my previous mories, I was involuntarily like that before," the Japanese woman said sowhat gloomily.
"I heard Nan Jujun calling you two Youzi and Youi. Which one are you? And what’s this about regaining your mory?" Lin Tian asked.
"I am Youzi. I was an orphan, grew up in an orphanage, and was later adopted and trained as an enforcer. Afterwards, I was inflicted with the Zombie Gu, beca a Half Zombie, and lost my previous mories. My thoughts and emotions changed drastically; I could only obey my master," Youzi, the Japanese woman, claid, sharing her previous profession.
She paused and then asked, "What about Nan Jujun and the other three? Did you capture them too?"
Of course Youzi knew that the four of them together were formidable, yet this youth stood unhard before her, which ant he had to be more formidable. She could only guess that maybe the four had been captured as well.
"Wrong, they had it much worse than you. They all self-destructed, leaving nothing but ashes. You should feel fortunate. Though you lost your power, at least you are still intact," Lin Tian said indifferently.
"Self-destructed? Good that they’re dead. To beco a half-zombie and to do such disgusting things with them, it’s better off dead..." Youzi’s face was full of regret, as if the mories of being half-zombie were her nightmare.
Lin Tian speculated, although she was an enforcer in the past, her life was at least like that of a normal person, but after becoming a half-zombie, indulging casually with many n wasn’t her true will.
"Who is your master?" he continued to ask coldly, evidently void of sympathy.
Uncovering her true master was crucial. Most likely, her master was the person who had used Gu on Mr. Qi.
Unexpectedly, Youzi shook her head, confusedly saying, "I don’t know who my master is. I’ve never seen him, or perhaps I have, but he used Gu techniques to erase my mories of it. He usually controls us through the Gu mother."
"Mr. Lin, let the professionals handle the interrogation," Li Qingyun ca forward and said, "The Zombie Gu has been successfully removed, and I have inford the police. They will soon send soone to take her away."
"Alright, I’ll eventually et this so-called master anyway. For , knowing his information is utterly insignificant," Lin Tian said lightly, his tone exuding imnse confidence.
This confidence was not feigned arrogance but seed a natural trait, innate in his character.
Even Li Qingyun, who had seen enough of the world, was surprised and took a second look at Lin Tian, feeling for the first ti that this young man was extraordinary.
"Sir, you are the strongest man I have ever t. No man in Japan can match up to you," Youzi said with bright eyes, praising him. It was unclear whether she was sincere or had an ulterior motive.
Lin Tian naturally would not surrender to just a sweet talk. However, hearing that no Japanese man could compare still pleased him, especially coming from a Japanese woman.
"Sir, may I follow you? You are my master, and I am willing to do anything for you," Youzi said very respectfully, actually proposing that Lin Tian beco her master.
Lin Tian could guess her motives, or rather, her instincts. She had been trained from a young age to be nothing more than an obedient enforcer. Even if set free now, she could hardly survive in society and would even be hunted by the Japanese.
Most likely, Youzi’s desire to follow Lin Tian was driven by her survival instincts.
Xiao Manxuan, as though she felt threatened, hurriedly moved closer to Lin Tian, as if to declare her dominion.
She too noticed Youzi’s decent looks and attractive figure. Most importantly, the little girl had heard that Japanese won were particularly adept at serving n. She was afraid Lin Tian would be enticed away.
Lin Tian found her jealousy both amusing and exasperating; the little girl’s bratty nature was unchanging.
His expression unchanged, he said to Youzi indifferently, "You are not my captive. Whoever captured you, go with them."
No sooner had he spoken than footsteps were heard outside the basent, the incoming person moved unhindered and quickly appeared at the entrance of the basent.
