Griffith Squire saw Delphine’s eyes glistening with tears as her body trembled slightly, yet she fought to suppress her emotions. He sighed softly, stretched out his arms, and joked, "Little Delphine, it’s been three years. Are you really not considering running into my arms?"

Delphine was amused by his cheeky words and murmured, "I knew it—disasters linger for a thousand years. You wouldn’t be in trouble."

Griffith’s peach-blossom eyes carried a deep and hidden intensity. Who could have guessed that his negligence back then would cause him severe injuries, almost costing him his life? As long as there was breath in him, Leah and little Delphine would not be left uncared for.

Ignatius Leclair watched the two gaze at each other and talk as if nobody else was present. His face turned ashen, his thin lips pressed tightly together.

Forget about the likes of Reginald Yeager or Wilbur Turner—Griffith Squire was his true nesis. That bandit leader who had erged from the blood-soaked chaos carried an aura of danger that was irresistibly alluring to won.

"Griffith Squire, three years have passed, and I thought you’d died out in the mountains," Ignatius Leclair said coldly.

Griffith’s peach-blossom eyes held a faint trace of affection. He replied with a half-smile, "How could I dare die before you, Sir Leclair, who always looks perfect and polished?"

Chloe Winston, who had been quietly eavesdropping, burst into a fit of coughing upon hearing this. Her eyes sparkled like stars—this Fourth Young Master was truly too handso! He even dared to insult Ignatius Leclair face-to-face. Haha, even Constantine Stewart wouldn’t dare do that. No way, she had to beco Griffith Squire’s fan! She absolutely had to!

Constantine Stewart lowered his gaze, noting Chloe’s little thoughts with a cold smirk. He said indifferently, "I’ll take my little wife back now. You all can continue chatting."

Constantine Stewart grabbed Chloe and left.

Delphine paid no mind to Ignatius’s dark expression and asked softly, "Why haven’t we heard anything from you these past three years? Leah ntioned she found you earlier—did you contact her?"

Griffith’s eyes narrowed slightly, and he laughed faintly. "I hadn’t expected to et so quickly, but now that I have, I should pay a visit to the Shaw Family."

Delphine was utterly puzzled. anwhile, the two n exchanged a silent clash of gazes mid-air—a battle fought without words.

Ignatius Leclair’s face grew stormy. He had no idea what kind of chaos Griffith Squire planned to stir up in Imperial City. With the year-end approaching, he decided it would be better to take his wife and child back to Southeast Asia for so peaceful days.

He let out a muffled grunt, and his attendant Wilbur Turner leaned in and whispered, "Sir Leclair, the wound has reopened. You must go back and change the dressing imdiately."

Delphine turned around, only now rembering Ignatius had co here injured. The dark blood seeping faintly through his chest made her tense. She glanced toward Griffith and lowered her voice, saying, "You go see Leah first. I’ll take Ignatius back to the hospital, and we can talk later."

Griffith noticed that although Ignatius’s handso face was pale, his gaze was razor-sharp. He suppressed a sneer—spilling a little blood was nothing; it was just a ploy to deceive little Delphine. However, after these three years of unforeseen changes, it was clear that Delphine’s thoughts were still centered on Ignatius.

Griffith lazily uttered an acknowledgnt, then said nonchalantly, "Delphine, if Ignatius bullies you or does anything to hurt you, don’t worry—I’ll handle it."

Although his words were casual, they carried traces of ruthless nace.

Ignatius Leclair’s phoenix-shaped eyes turned dark and deep. Without another word, he grabbed Delphine’s wrist and marched her out.

The news of Griffith Squire’s return reached the Shaw Family that very night. Richard Shaw, who had been bound to a wheelchair for years, stood up for the first ti. His handso and resolute face revealed a hint of grave seriousness. Looking out at the dense night in Imperial City, he felt a chill that reached his very bones.
