The sun rose over the horizon as the third day arrived.

Nuk watched from the forest with a grin.

"This is amazing... the best thing ever," Mikel said as his palm transford into a ghoul-like hand covered with sharp claws.

"I’m stronger and faster than anything I’ve ever known. It would take a while to devour all the corpses in this city, but the amount of strength I’ve gained is already beyond anything I could have imagined."

Mikel continued rambling until Nuk interrupted him.

"Actually, the stronger the being is, the more power you gain when you devour its flesh," Nuk explained.

Mikel’s heart jumped with excitent.

This was perfect for him.

There was an ongoing war, and countless powerful warriors would leave behind corpses.

If he devoured them...

"That aside, I wanted to ask you a few things about this world," Nuk said.

Mikel imdiately cald down as his attention returned to Nuk.

"First, is there anything sealed? Any creature at all?" Nuk asked.

Mikel pondered for a mont before shaking his head.

"No. I can’t rember any being being sealed, but that’s probably because I’m not strong enough to know such secrets," Mikel replied with an awkward laugh.

After all, he had only been the ruler of a small city.

" he doesn’t know ".., Nuk thought with a frown as he felt that sealed creature under the city had a dangerous secret that might change this whole war.

"Fine. Then tell about this world’s structure, those in power, and everything you know," Nuk said.

Mikel coughed lightly before beginning his explanation.

"This world is governed by the Ten Holy Sects and the Five Kingdoms. Other sects exist as supporting powers, while the kingdoms are spread across the Five Provinces."

"As for the Ten Holy Sects, their influence is divided among countless cities."

"This city is still considered small compared to the outside world. In the Super Cities, there are recruitnts into lesser sects, and depending on how talented a Martial Warrior is, they may have the opportunity to join one of the Ten Holy Sects or be absorbed by one of the Five Kingdoms."
