Extrely reluctantly, after giving myself a prep talk that if I did not go and follow him into the bathroom to have this conversation, he would keep causing trouble, I went after him.
I needed to hear whether he had any explanation for his behavior, or if he was going to tell that he would behave the next ti we had lunch together with my family.
Because if he was not going to apologize for his behavior at dinner to my father, we were pretty much done.
I was not going to invite them over to embarrass them again.
As soon as I entered the bathroom, I found him standing under the shower in his clothes, with the water running.
"What the fuck is that?" I complained, reaching for the water to turn it off, when he suddenly grabbed my hand, pulled under the shower with him, and slamd against the wall.
"What the fuck?" I protested, unable to finish the sentence as the water ran into my mouth.
"You’re angry with because of Luca?" he remarked, hissing, and I realized he was thinking about it all wrong.
"No, you spoiled my evening with my father. Do you not understand such a simple thing?" I snapped at him, noticing that he still looked upset sohow.
"I told you I don’t like Luca, and I warned you not to keep talking about him or taking his side," he replied, his hands tightening around my wrists.
"Ouch," I muttered, and as soon as I said it, he loosened his grip slightly so he could pull away from the wall, twisting my arms behind my back and pressing our chests together.
"What the fuck are you doing?" I complained quietly, feeling heat rise in my cheeks.
"I don’t trust him," he whispered softly.
"I did not do anything for him," I replied, trying to keep the sa attitude as before by staying stern with him. However, my voice ca out as a whisper, barely above one.
He brought his lips closer to mine, his eyes searching mine.
"I was just upset because my father was really looking forward to the little ti we were going to spend," I explained, and he began to loosen his grip on entirely.
However, the mont I noticed, he grew distracted and leaned down toward my lips. I turned my face to the side.
"No," I uttered softly, but firmly.
Although I knew I had done none of that for Luca, it did not change the fact that I was over him as well.
The mont I said it, he pulled away, and I was able to turn off the water.
"That is a lie," he stated sternly.
We stood facing each other, soaked, with complaints in each other’s eyes.
"I don’t care what you think. All I know is my truth, and my truth is that I’m truly over you. I don’t care how you live your life after that," I finished, noticing how shocked he looked.
"You’re saying this because you want to hurt ," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.
"You can keep repeating yourself, Kash, but it will not change the truth," I replied more confidently this ti, then reached for a towel. However, he snatched it out of my hand, and I rolled my eyes at him.
"So you’re telling that if I go and spend the night in Lara’s room, you wouldn’t be affected?" he questioned.
I felt unease settle in my body, but I focused on grabbing the towel back from him. Deep down, I hated that he brought it up because now he was waiting for my response, and I had a feeling my answer would cause an unpleasant reaction.
"I asked you sothing," he demanded again.
"No, it wouldn’t affect ," I answered.
Then my ego won, and so did my self-esteem. The way he looked hurt made believe I had done nothing wrong. I was right. He had the nerve to be upset after putting through so much.
"Really? So if I walk out of here and I go–," he started, but I stopped him by raising my hand.
"You can go and spend your night with her. Spend your day with her. Spend the rest of your life with her. I don’t freaking care. This is sothing I faced many years ago, and I’m over it now. I’m long over it," I finished, watching him swallow hard, almost angrily.
With small movents of his head, he stayed there for a few seconds, then started to step towards .
"Well then, thank you for being honest with ," he remarked. "At least now," he paused, reaching over and leaning down to whisper into my ear, "I’m able to go and redeem myself to the wife who does want ."
As he finished, he pulled back, looking at with hurt in his face that did not make any sense.
"I don’t care," I replied again.
"Good. And you know what? I’ll take her to the honeymoon spot. I’ll take her to the suite where we had our first ti together. Then I’ll take her to all the places where you were with , overwriting our mories with hers," he continued without stopping.
At that point, I started to feel uneasy. Then I began to feel angry.
"Okay. Go ahead. Do it," I muttered this ti, clear disgust and anger in my voice.
"Sure. Thank you for telling all this before it was too late," he added.
As he turned to leave, I could not stop myself from going after him. Before I could even think, I grabbed his wet shirt from behind and shoved him toward the exit. I could barely move him, but the push was enough to show how angry I was.
"I fucking hate you," I scread as I repeatedly shoved him toward the exit.
Finally, he turned around and, with one hand, grabbed both my wrists and pushed back until my back t the wall again, pinning my hands above my head.
"Why? You’re affected now?" he scread in my face, and I suddenly went silent.
