Now reading: Chapter 207: Little thoughts from Apocalyptic Disasters: Carrying a bun and hoarding supplies, a Drama novel by fairytail72.

"I really didn’t an any harm!" Lu Yin spoke as if she were making an oath. Inwardly, however, she cursed Bai iyue a thousand tis. She never thought that Bai iyue would be so hateful; she actually cut off her way of retreat so easily.

The reason why she didn’t confess was because she knew that Lei Qian would never agree. Lu Yin thought that as long as she stayed with Lei Qian and chased the other won away, she would sooner or later win Lei Qian. What was more, she was still young.

Her curves were not as developed, but as long as she ate and drank well, she would beco a little beauty. What kind of man would be able to reject her then?

But before she could even get past the first obstacle, Bai iyue appeared in her life and threw all her hard work in the drain. She had always pretended to be quiet and obedient in front of Lei Qian in hope that the man would be touched by her caring attitude.

Now with Bai iyue putting the truth out in front like this, what would Lei Qian think of her?

Bai iyue ruined it all.

Lei Qian stared at the crying woman in front of him. He sighed before saying, "Lu Yin, it’s good if you don’t have such thoughts because I treat you like my little sister. I have never once had any other thoughts about you. As for what happened tonight, I will speak to your brother."

"Ah Yu is skilled as well; you can go with him to collect supplies."

Though he didn’t say it outright, his aning was clear. He didn’t want Lu Yin to join him on the hunt anymore.

Lei Qian walked away without letting Lu Yin say anything.

"Brother—" Lu Yin turned to look at Lei Qian’s disappearing back and her expression changed again and again. In the end, she could only stomp her feet and march to the small truck.

All of this was seen by Dacheng, who returned after collecting so vegetables and frozen at. He looked at Lu Yin, who was walking away and clicked his tongue. If he had known that this woman was this useless, he would have tried to flatter Bai iyue better.

He rolled his eyes and turned to look at the car where Bai iyue was eating cherries. He watched her munch on the sweet delight and suddenly felt envious and a little unjust.

Bai iyue was not a part of the team but she could still walk into the core of the team. She hadn’t done anything to gain the respect of the team and yet this woman was recognised by Lei Qian and the team because of her skills. If he was as powerful as her, Dacheng was sure that the team would give him the sa respect as Bai iyue.

After all, people like Lei Qian were really difficult to approach.

Even Lu Yin, who was the sister of his good friend, had to step aside because Lei Qian didn’t have any respect for her.

Not only him, even the rest of the team mbers other than Yang Chunhua, had prickly personalities. They all treated him politely but held him at arm’s length; who knows what they had gone through but they didn’t trust him and were pretty eccentric. Only Yun Chunhua treated him well but that wasn’t enough.

What he wanted was the recognition of the team and not to rely on a woman.

Originally, Dacheng thought that he had followed the team and with Yang Chunhua, it wouldn’t take long for him to gain their trust. What was more, even if they had known each other for only a few days and spoke less than ten words? They still went through life-and-death situations.

It should have been enough for the team to accept him as one of their mbers, but Dacheng knew that they treated him quite indifferently. They were polite at best and never let him take part in the team etings.

They treated him indifferently but with Bai iyue they were different.

Because they respected Lei Qian, the team mbers respected Bai iyue by default because she saved Lei Qian’s life before.

Compared to him, who went through all kinds of troubles with the team mbers, Bai iyue was treated much better. She could laugh and joke around with them if she wanted. She could even kick Lei Qian out of her car and no one took her as arrogant or spoiled.

What was even more confusing was that even though Lei Qian was kicked out by Bai iyue, no one thought that she was acting out of line. Even Yang Chunhua agreed with her and said that Bai iyue was right.

That a man should clear his past entanglents when pursuing soone new.

Even Lei Qian treated Bai iyue quite well; Dacheng couldn’t understand it. Why would soone like Lei Qian, who could have any won chase after Bai iyue? Forget about one woman; Lei Qian could change won every night!

If he was in his position, he would have kicked Bai iyue out of the team and made her suffer and kneel on the ground until she understood her position. She was a woman and no matter how strong a woman beca, she still had to rely on a man.

Why was she so smug? It was just sleeping together once. What was Bai iyue playing at?

However, despite these little thoughts, Dacheng didn’t dare to say anything that would offend Bai iyue. Because he understood the dynamics of the team. Lei Qian respected Bai iyue and the team respected Lei Qian.

If he said anything to make that woman angry, he might be the one caught in trouble.

He simply retracted his gaze and walked back to his truck. Once he turned the ignition on, everyone pulled out of the half-collapsed building and drove towards the hospital. Collecting supplies was important but saving the life of Director Feng was even more important.
