"Lei Qian, you!" Bai iyue was furious when she saw Lei Qian act as a hooligan. She glared at him but the man remained stubborn. Even though her knee was almost pressed against his crotch, the man didn't let her off. Half annoyed and half exasperated, she raised her knee and was about to hit the man but Lei Qian was faster.
The man twisted around on the bed and rolled to his back while pulling Bai iyue along with him, which forced her to lie on top of him. With his arms wrapped around her waist, Lei Qian smirked up at her. He said to her, "Call once more; I really like it when you call my na."
"You hooligan, you pervert!" Bai iyue struggled against the man as she really couldn't believe the audacity of this man. She tried to freeze his hand but realised that this man had actually surpassed her!
How did he do it ?
Bai iyue was simply furious at the turn of events. She knew that this man was skilled but was there a need for the heavens to create such a big difference between the two of them? This man wasn't even reliving his life, so how co he was still three steps ahead of her? This was simply unfair!
"I am just asking my wife to kiss ." Lei Qian curled his lips and let the woman hit him. He had tried to be patient but it could be seen that it didn't work on Bai iyue; this woman was like a hard nut that only cracked under pressure. If he continued to skim around her, she would simply ignore him.
This was sothing that Lei Qian could understand with ease.
Since skirting around didn't work, he could only push his way into her life. He smiled at her and tapped on his lips with his finger. "It's just a kiss, Yueyue."
"You— don't you play with ," Bai iyue was a bit angry when she saw how carelessly Lei Qain was dealing with her. "You think you can play around with and when you have had your fill, you will go and look for another woman?"
She spoke the rest of the sentence through gritted teeth when she recalled how this man had followed that woman and even listened to her as if she was his goddess. She heard from a few people that this man actually worshipped the ground she walked on.
How could she trust the words of this man?
When Lei Qian heard Bai iyue's words, he frowned. He pushed his body upwards and let the woman straddle him. He cupped her face and said to Bai iyue, "I don't know who told you these ssy things but I will never do such a thing. If I wanted to look for a woman, do you think I couldn't have done it when I was young? Why do you think I would have waited for you?"
He just couldn't understand why Bai iyue still thought that he would go looking for another woman. How could he when he truly loved her? Why was it that she couldn't see through such simple things?
He paused and added, "And even if I do pay attention to another woman, then I believe that I would only do that if she is related to you."
When Bai iyue heard this, she paused. She blinked her eyes and stopped struggling; she raised her head and looked Lei Qian right in the eye before saying to him, "What did you say?"
"I said that if you see paying attention to another woman, it can only be because she is related to you," Lei Qian was rather patient as he repeated his forr words. He was not a man who could be swayed so easily. Since the day he chose Bai iyue, he swore that he would never chase after another woman.
That was how he was raised and the teachings he was given also taught him that he should be responsible for a woman if he hurt her. Though Bai iyue kept saying that she was fine, Lei Qian was not such a casual man who would shirk responsibility after he was done putting on his pants.
"Are you sure?" Bai iyue asked. Though she could sense that the man was not telling lies, she just couldn't believe him. She had been told so many lies that Bai iyue just couldn't believe n anymore.
In the past, every word that ca out of Su Hu and Bai Qingshi's mouths was nothing but lies. How could she trust soone so easily?
"I am sure," Lei Qian stared at her with a confident smile and nodded. "I can't even pay attention to you properly; how can I look for another woman?"
"Humph," Bai iyue snorted but she looked sowhat mollified and at the sa ti, she started to think of another theory. She had indeed noticed that Lei Qian was honestly interested in her. He was not lying nor was he playing.
This was sothing that she could see, as she was not blind.
But the one thing that troubled her was that woman. The one who stayed with Lei Qian till the end of Bai iyue's life. She thought that it was because Lei Qian was the one who was interested in her. But now—after listening to Lei Qian's words, she had a feeling that she was thinking things too simply.
What if that woman actually used her as her stepping stone? The apocalyptic world was not about sunshine and daisies. People were ruthless and willing to do anything once they were pushed into a corner.
What if that woman told Lei Qian that she knew about her whereabouts or, worse, forged her will and then showed it to Lei Qian to make him believe that Bai iyue was dead?
If that was the case, then there was a possibility that this woman who always hid her face behind a veil was actually soone Bai iyue knew very well in her past life.
