Bai iyue had not only controlled the survivors but also the supplies, and she did it in such a way that not a single person could steal anything from under her nose, and here? Hehe. He sighed and then said to Xiang i, "If only she were as smart as you, then nothing would have gone wrong in such a manner."
Xiang i blushed upon hearing his praise. However, the n who stood behind her rolled their eyes, as they could see what Su Hu was trying to do.
Even though everyone could see that Su Hu was only cajoling Xiang i so that he could use her as he wished, Xiang i herself couldn't see it. Maybe her eyes were covered with rose-tinted glasses; she only listened to Su Hu's sweet lies and didn't care about anything.
"You praise too much." Xiang i tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear shyly as she said, "But what do you an that we don't have to worry about the missing survivors?" She was rather confused at Su Hu's indifference.
"Do you rember the soldiers who ca to see us a few days ago?" Su Hu questioned, and when Xiang i nodded, he smiled at her and said to her, "They promised to give us jobs! The two of them said that as long as you are willing to join the base, they will give a few of us jobs which would be similar to civil servants. ii, if you join the base, then the two of us will never have to worry about food and water."
He paused and added, "Not to ntion, we will be free from Bai Xue's tyranny."
"Really? Is this really possible?" Xiang i was a simpleton. She didn't even realise that there was sothing wrong with the temptation offered by Su Hu and the leader of the base. She believed what Su Hu said almost imdiately without a second thought.
Su Hu sighed inwardly when he saw that the woman had listened to him without any second thought. This was the kind of woman he liked.
Not like Bai iyue, who questioned and retorted on every single thing. A woman should be like Xiang i, who listened to her man without even batting an eye. A woman who thought and spoke too much was not what a man liked.
"That's right." Su Hu looked at Xiang i with a hint of smugness in his eyes. He was quite pleased with the look of admiration that Xiang i was showing him. However, this trust was not enough to make the man feel guilty for pushing Xiang i into a fire pit. In fact, he explained the entire thing quite happily as if he were handing out alms to a starving beggar.
"The soldiers who ca to the house yesterday promised that they would help us settle down. So Xiang i, do you want to co with ?"
"Of course." Xiang i didn't even hesitate as she agreed with Su Hu almost at once. She smiled at the man and said to him in a slow voice, "I will co with you, Brother Hu. Why would I stay here if you are leaving?"
Anyway, Xiang i didn't think that there was anything wrong with joining the army. If only she knew!
A few days passed by just like that.
The entire scenery around the Sunshine Deluxe Apartnts had changed. The streets were filled with patrolling guards. Military vehicles could be seen going in and out of the base wall. Because the military had cleaned up the space with the help of its ability users, they could no longer see any zombies and could actually step out of their houses without a worry.
At a distance, the main centre was opened, and the survivors were asked to line up such that they could be given a fitting job after registration.
And next to that, a notice board was also placed.
