While Lei Qian’s eyes were fixated on the picture that he had gotten from the nurse, the nurse turned to look at Bai iyue. She questioned her in a calm voice, "Are you feeling alright? Is there any discomfort lately?"
"It’s fine; I just feel a bit troubled due to the pain in the tailbone. It’s really difficult to sleep when it feels like I am getting pricked by several needles at the sa ti," replied Bai iyue. She had been sleeping on her left side, but still, she would feel a bit annoyed due to the prickling sensation in the back.
After she finished speaking, Bai iyue thought that she was acting really pampered. In her last life, she never got a chance to rest, and she would wade through zombie packs even when her legs were cramping as if they were about to crumble. And now that she was living such a good life, she was getting all whiny just because she felt a little troubled due to the pain in her tailbone.
"Do you feel a bit troubled when you sit down? Like, is it hard to sit for longer hours?"
"I do feel a bit pressure when I sit down... my calves would start cramping as well due to it."
"Ah!?" Lei Qian snapped out of his thoughts. When he heard Bai iyue’s response, he stiffened and turned to look at her. He got to his feet and said to her, "Why did you not tell that your tailbone and calves were hurting? I could have massaged them." As he finished speaking, he reached out to hold her legs, but Bai iyue pulled away.
The nurse, on the other hand, started giggling, as she had never seen a couple as sweet and funny as Lei Qian and Bai iyue. n would often complain that their wives or girlfriends were making a fuss over sothing useless. After all, they were not the only ones who were giving birth to a child, and many other won had done it before them, too, without any facilities. Including their mothers.
Those n were the ones the nurse looked down at the most. What was the point of boasting about the sufferings that their mother went through? Shouldn’t they be thinking of ways to make things comfortable for their wives, instead of hoping that they would go through the sa sufferings as their mothers?
Thus, it was really rare for n as powerful as Lei Qian to bow down and massage the feet and legs of their wives.
"What are you doing? Don’t rub anything. It’s of no use," said Bai iyue as she tried to hide her flushed cheeks.
"Actually, massaging does help a little," said the nurse with a smile. "If you massage your calves and back a little with just the right amount of force, you will be able to relax a little."
The nurse glanced at Lei Qian, who looked so nervous that he had no idea where to put his hands or legs. Although she had been working in the apocalypse without showing any signs of depression, the truth was that she was also a bit troubled due to the current situation. Watching the antics between Bai iyue and Lei Qian amused her a little. They were the pri example of a good couple who would go through thick and thin together.
Watching them filled her and everyone else with hope.
She turned and explained to Lei Qian, "As the foetus starts to grow, it’s going to put pressure on the mother’s spine. The weight of the baby is then going to be transferred to the tailbone of the mother, which would lead her to feel a bit troubled while sitting or sleeping. Though every woman gives birth, it doesn’t an that the process is not painful, just because it’s normal. Every woman goes through hell gates to give birth to a child. As the father, you should be careful and caring toward her."
"If your wife is putting her life on the line to give birth to your child, it ans that she loves you a lot. You should try to understand her sufferings and love her a bit more. If you don’t understand her as her husband and the father of her child, who else will understand her troubles? Try to make her pregnancy a bit more comfortable; it’s already painful enough, and she doesn’t need you to make her suffer."
"Yes, yes, I understand. I will try my best to make things easier for her."
Lei Qian nodded his head like a chicken pecking on rice. Like every man, even he thought that giving birth was just a normal thing. After all, sowhere in the back of his head, he often thought that giving birth was sothing that every woman did once in her life; thus, he never took it seriously. But after listening to Bai iyue say that blood would start to pour out of her like a running tap, he started to beco nervous.
He had never seen a woman give birth, and he had no idea how painful the entire process was. But the very fact that it was going to hurt Bai iyue so much that she would bleed so much made him really anxious.
And after getting educated by the nurse, he also sowhat understood that his thoughts were not right. Just because sothing was normal and happened every other day didn’t an that it wasn’t painful. Won gave birth, but they suffered a lot as well. n should never ignore the sufferings of their won because they believed that she was not doing anything new. It was wrong, and it might even beco a knot in the hearts of their wives.
Especially at tis like these.
At that mont, Lei Qian had grave respect for Bai iyue and her sacrifice for keeping the child in her belly, when people wouldn’t even take care of their parents and spouses.
