With her appearance back to normal, Bai iyue didn’t stop nor did she look back. As she ran, she hunted down other zombies who were attacking others. She maximised the use of her speed and strength and chopped down the zombies with her dagger. Unlike others, she did not waste her ti fighting with these zombies; she cut down their heads.
As long as their heads exploded, the rest of the being would die without any fight. Because the number of zombies at the beginning of the apocalypse was still a bit less, Bai iyue was done dealing with them in a matter of a few minutes.
Bai iyue looked down at her clothes that were covered in zombie blood and frowned in disgust. She felt nauseous when she slt the rotten sll but sohow managed to calm herself down. She was about to turn around and leave when a man who was almost bitten by the zombie rushed out of his hiding spot and shouted,
"Bai iyue! You can’t leave; you need to protect ."
Bai iyue paused and turned around when she heard the familiar voice. She looked at the man who stood behind her and questioned, "For what reason?"
"For the reason that I am here because of you!" Lu Ling, who was supported by Xie Yi, glared at Bai iyue.
He was the husband of one of the richest won of the city. As a result, he had long learnt to act domineering, not to ntion it was Bai iyue who was the cause of his tragedy. This woman promised him an antidote and only delivered half of it; as for the rest, she did not bother with it, causing half of his life to leave his body.
Before the doomsday broke, he called Xie Yi and asked him to bring as much money and weapons as possible. Lu Ling wanted to use the last batch of this stock and buy rations from country A. But before he could, chaos erupted all around him and humans turned into weird beasts!
When he was thinking about how to escape from this ss, Bai iyue appeared. She also knew how to kill these things that no one could handle; the more Lu Ling thought about it, the more he looked at Bai iyue as if she were one of the assets that he could use.
’If I can make this woman follow , then I will have nothing to worry about,’ Lu Ling thought as greed flashed in his eyes. If Bai iyue followed him, then not only could he make her protect him but also make her serve a few people in exchange for supplies. With that beautiful face, it would be a sha if this woman was used in the right manner.
Lu Ling lifted his chin and talked down to Bai iyue as if he were an emperor. He said to her, "I am telling you, Bai iyue. You have hard really badly; you have to help . Not only do you have to follow but you also need to take care of and even make up for the losses that I have suffered."
He was still yet to understand that Bai iyue was no longer that pathetic woman who would not dare to say east if others were to say west. As for the things that she did before, he thought that it was due to the fact that Bai iyue was provoked by Chen Yuya and Bai Xue.
He never took this soft persimmon seriously. In Lu Ling’s eyes, she was still the sa woman who could be pinched and bullied as he liked.
Killing intent flooded in Bai iyue’s eyes when she heard Lu Ling’s words. A dense and baleful aura erupted from her body. It was the death aura that she had faced and ford in the past life. As Bai iyue stepped towards him, Lu Ling asked Xie Yi to pull him away from the crazy woman. He looked at Bai iyue and quaked while screaming, "You can’t kill ! You can’t kill ! My wife is Gu Zejun! She will not leave you alone if you were to kill . She loves too much!"
"Ah, will she?" Bai iyue curled her lips coldly. She then raised the dagger in her hand and sneered, "Will she really help you when she finds out what kind of person you are and the things that you have done behind her back?"
Lu Ling’s face turned pale when he realised that Bai iyue was not joking. He wanted to run away but before he could, Bai iyue stepped forward and clutched him around his throat. She sneered and said, "I was giving you face when I let you live the last ti. But it seems like you do not love your life that much. Do you think that I was joking when I gave you that poison?"
Faced with Bai iyue’s threats, he turned to look at Xie Yi and said to him, "S—Save ."
How dare Xie Yi save this man who provoked this Goddess of Death? Even if he was a lowly thug and never went to school, he knew when to act servile and when to act tough. Yet Lu Ling, this fool! He actually said such words to this woman instead of pleading with her.
