Thane and Zarall were monitoring the battle and were looking for Chaos Arts Practitioners at the Immortal Level.
They knew that it could be very dangerous for them if such a powerful figure suddenly appeared and suppressed them.
So, instead of joining in the battle, they decided to ensure that there wouldn’t be any other opponents joining in while also ensuring that no wide-scale Spells would hit them...
At this ti, Cynthia then rushed forward with her twin blades, but the first Chaos Practitioner moved erratically, his body would sohow phase out and ripple like a reflection in water.
Her swords passed through him, striking only air.
"Illusions? What’s this?" She couldn’t help but feel shocked as she failed to understand the principle of their Spells.
"No..." Thane answered. "It’s called Chaos Echoes. Their attacks are real, but their bodies aren’t fully here."
"That’s possible?!" Everyone was shocked as soon as they heard this.
That was cheating after all! How would they even win against them with that trick?!
However, as soon as they saw that Thane and Zarall were still calm, they knew that this battle wasn’t over just yet.
At this ti, another Chaos Practitioner laughed before clapping his hands.
This clap, however, wasn’t simple.
A carried a wave of force that pushed Cyril backward. He even felt his armor bending inward as if struck by an invisible hamr.
Jessie barely raised a barrier in ti, but the chaotic energy ate through it and pushed her back as well.
’So this is it...’
Zarall watched all of this and confird his suspicions.
These weren’t Immortals. They were, at most, First-Class Arcanists who’d sohow mastered Chaos Arts.
And they were toying with his team.
Zarall then considered his next actions for a mont.
He could end this in a heartbeat.
One unsealed bolt of divine lightning would reduce these fools to ash.
But that would reveal his identity as an Immortal who could use Divinity. There was no need for that to deal with these mortals.
So he fought like a normal Arcanist.
He used the Amulet and simply improved its power.
Just as a Chaos Bolt shot toward Jessie’s throat.
Zarall moved.
He released a lightning bolt from his fist, striking the Chaos Bolt mid-air...
Boom!
The Nullstone Amulet seed to have shown its power and stabilized the chaotic energy just long enough for his Spell to shatter it.
The Chaos Practitioner was furious...
However, before being able to do anything, he scread in pain!
In just a mont of hesitation, Thane’s dagger found his shoulder!
Furthermore, with the amulet’s power and Thane’s special ability, the Chaos Arts Practitioner was unable to phase out and was heavily injured!
Crimson blood then oozed from the wound.
"You—!" The Chaos Arts Practitioner was shocked.
However, Thane twisted the dagger.
"You’re not the only ones who ca prepared. You can die now..." Thane muttered as he pushed his dagger deeper...
Of course, he wasn’t really planning to kill the man since Vale wanted to control a few of them to understand their real reason for coming here.
The second Practitioner, on the other hand, dashed forward, aiming to kill Cyril to lessen their number.
However, Cynthia’s sword intercepted it in ti...
Clank!
"Nice try," She softly said as she pushed the Practitioner away with her sword.
It was at this ti that the Chaos Practitioners realized that they were fighting against Arcanists who were out of their league!
They were losing! This was sothing they could not accept...
Then, suddenly, the Obsidian Forest shuddered.
"Enough." A mysterious voice ca out of nowhere, and it was recognized by the two Chaos Arts Practitioners.
They were finally saved!
The Chaos Arts Practitioners imdiately dropped to one knee, with their head bowed.
Then, from the darkness, a figure appeared.
This figure had just silently arrived, and even if you could see his presence, it was hard to sense him.
Thane’s grip tightened on her dagger.
This one wasn’t a First-Class Arcanist.
’Divinity... There’s really an Immortal among them.’ Thane mused as he observed the immortal who had just arrived.
"Lord Gyn!"
The Chaos Practitioner cried out as soon as he recognized the figure who had appeared.
Indeed, Gyn, one of the exiled Immortals who had returned to this realm, arrived to save the two Chaos Arts Practitioners.
"I told you to hide and not cause issues to avoid getting hunted..." Gyn sighed as he was already thinking of ending their mission to gather these lost Arcanists of Chaos Path.
Currently, there are only five Immortals of Chaos Path in this world; on the other hand, the enemies, including the Shadow Domain, probably have a hundred Immortals. There was no way they’d bravely show themselves.
It ans that stirring up trouble right now would not be a good idea if they wanted to buy ti to create a larger portal to bring out all other Immortal Practitioners.
Nonetheless, he still couldn’t help but pity the two, seeing how they were wounded...

In the anti, Thane and Zarall tensed as the Immortal stepped forward.
Divinity.
’We found it, Lord Vale...’ Thane wanted to make a report, but right now, he knew that they would be discovered if they acted hastily.
The one in front of them was an Immortal after all.
Then, as Thane and Zaraall prepared for battle, Gyn actually had no plans to attack.
Instead, he raised a hand, and the forest itself seed to obey him...
Just like that, the trees and branches moved, forming a barrier between the two groups.
"Leave," Gyn commanded. "These two are under my protection."
However, there was no way they would just believe that.
At this ti, Thane spoke up to probe the situation. He needed more information about these Practitioners.
"We were sent by the Arcanist Association," he said carefully. "We accepted a mission, and these two are wanted for practicing forbidden arts."
Gyn’s eyes darkened.
"Forbidden by whom? The Dominion? You need to think again..."
Gyn mocked, but he was certainly telling the truth.
