The most important thing was that Jane Sampson had initially joined the company through Rock Bell, so the contract had Rock Bell’s hand in it, and also, the duration specified in the contract wasn’t long to begin with, which was why Jas Black wasn’t worried at all about the penalty Jane Sampson would have to pay if she terminated her contract with her current company.
Listening to Jas Black’s words, Rock Bell thought it over and also felt it made sense.
What could Jas Black possibly lack, money?
So without any hesitation, Rock Bell imdiately agreed.
"I understand, I’ll negotiate with the company right away," Rock Bell said. "I’m not just taking shares for nothing, I have the money to invest."
Many things are better off being untangled from the start, so Rock Bell didn’t plan on taking advantage of Jas Black, "I’ll check how much money I have later, and I’ll take as many shares as I can afford."
"Okay," Jas Black humd in response, paused to think, and then added, "When you negotiate with your company, you can imply to your president that the Black Family never takes advantage of anyone."
What he ant was, if this issue was resolved amicably, even though Jane Sampson would be leaving this company, there would still be opportunities for collaboration in the future, and should the Black Family need any partners for future projects, they would consider Jane Sampson’s old boss first.
"Okay," with those words from Jas Black, Rock Bell felt that terminating the contract shouldn’t be difficult.
Jas Black had even brought the Black Family into it, obviously wanting people to know that Jane Sampson had the support of the Black Family behind her.
That person who originally said he would never ddle with Jane Sampson’s job now seed eager to assert the Black Family’s influence.
Rock Bell smiled faintly, so really, at the beginning, one shouldn’t make any promises too definitive.
After all, sotis, the slap in the face cos quite swiftly.
Jas Black of course knew what Rock Bell was laughing about, but he pretended not to understand and, having said what he needed to, he left directly.
He was confident in Rock Bell’s handling of affairs.
anwhile, Jane Sampson, who was busy with the film crew, knew nothing about this.
In the blink of an eye, she had been back with the film crew for three days, and it was the first ti in her life she had surreptitiously counted on her fingers the days until next weekend.
Jas Black had told her when he dropped her back here on Sunday at noon that he would co to her this Friday night and spend a day with her.
When Jane had gotten out of the car, she still wore a look of disdain, but by evening she was already peeking at her mobile phone’s calendar again and again.
While Jane Sampson was counting on her fingers the two days left before Jas Black would visit her at the film crew, Rock Bell made a phone call that managed to get her half-day leave from Jas Chip and had Coco Edwards drive her back to the company.
Midway, Rock Bell said nothing specific, only telling Jane on the phone that once she got to the company, they would talk, and it was sothing very important.
Jane Sampson wasn’t even at the company doorway yet when Rock Bell was already waiting for her on the first floor, and as soon as she saw her, Rock Bell led Jane upstairs.
In the elevator, Jane saw Rock Bell directly pressing for the office’s top floor, she reached out and pressed the button for Rock Bell’s office floor, then reminded Rock Bell, "Sister Tin, is sothing the matter? Look at you, you even pressed the wrong button on the elevator, heading straight to the top floor."
The top floor was where the offices of the company’s few largest senior executives were located; Jane Sampson hadn’t been up there since she joined the company.
Thanks to Rock Bell’s protection, Jane had never needed to mingle with any company president, or to put it another way, Jane Sampson had never attended any event or socialized with anyone to this day.
