Jas Black, stationed with the guard team, chuckled as he heard the stream of complaints from his young wife on the phone.
" No wonder it took so long to pick up." Just thinking about Jane Sampson’s clumsy manner, Jas thought it a pity that he still hadn’t seen her in that state.
It must have been quite amusing.
That kind of mockery did not need to be described in words. With just that gentle remark, Jane felt the emotion in Jas’s tone.
"Hmph! I think you did it on purpose. These gloves aren’t even from my wardrobe. Where on earth did you get them? You definitely did it on purpose!" Jane was so annoyed she felt like biting Jas twice.
But since he was so far from her, there was no way she could actually bite him. So, she could only huff a couple of tis for him to hear.
"The studio has been established, and it’s called Jane Joy, with the ’Joy’ pronounced ’yue’," Jas said, "All the procedures are completed, so from now on, you are your own boss."
Rock Bell had found an office for the studio over a month ago, and all the decoration had been entrusted to a professional design company.
"You’re filming in Cloud Province and won’t be able to make it back for the opening ceremony in a week, so you just need to know so stuff about the studio. Otherwise, you might look clueless if soone asks." The main reason Jas called Jane was to discuss the studio matters.
"Rock will email you the rest of the details. Just read them when you have ti." After finishing his business talk, Jas’s voice softened, "Are you getting used to being in Cloud Province? I saw the weather forecast; it’s going to be the snow season there. Wear more clothes every day; don’t catch a cold."
"The scenery here is really beautiful," Jane giggled, "I quite like it here."
Then, Jane found a small pavilion to sit down, hugged her mobile phone, and started to complain to Jas about how recently she could not shake off the nickna ’Monkey King of Sampton.’
Initially, it was just the netizens calling her that, but then Peter Gingery started it, and the whole film crew followed suit.
Every ti they saw the resigned expression on Jane’s face, one by one, they laughed with wicked glee.
Jane chatted on the phone until Jas got busy with sothing else and reluctantly hung up.
Even though it was mostly her talking nonstop and Jas just listening and occasionally responding, it was like being with Jas in person. Such monts always made her feel happy.
After Jane’s call ended, Jas left the guard team and went to the city district for a eting. That evening, Peter Gingery, driving the car, ca to the city to pick him up. On the way back, Peter ntioned sothing to Jas.
"Guess who I saw today?" Peter asked with interest, urging Jas, seated in the co-pilot seat, to respond.
"Definitely not your sister-in-law; she’s in Cloud Province." Jas was only interested in Jane Sampson; he had no curiosity about whoever Peter might have seen.
After the evening eting and attending so social events where he drank quite a bit of wine, Jas felt a bit of a headache while sitting in the car.
"Now, besides little Jane, you can’t seem to care about anyone else," Peter shook his shoulder teasingly, "It’s painfully cheesy. Before, there didn’t seem to be any affection between you and little Jane, but now you’re so lovey-dovey it’s as if you can’t wait to beco one with her, intertwined in each other."
Jas sneered at Peter, "You wouldn’t understand."
