"You answer first." Jas Black didn’t imdiately explain to Jane Sampson, but waited for her answer.
Jane Sampson pouted, turned her head, and blurted out one sentence.
"Mr. Carter."
After saying that, she giggled to herself.
Jas Black choked, his face darkened, never expecting such an answer.
Marrying a wife, it seems, was just to have soone constantly infuriate him.
That answer completely blocked anything else he might have said.
Seeing Jane Sampson’s unruly appearance, Jas Black just quieted down and stopped talking.
She was the one who needed comforting, yet she was also the one who was restless.

Jane Sampson stuck out her tongue at Jas Black and made a goofy face, chuckling foolishly.
Then Jas Black said, "You’ve also noticed Jillian Carter’s feelings for . Jillian is your Mr. Carter’s sister. If you don’t want to put Mr. Carter in a difficult position, then Jillian might snatch away. If Mr. Carter isn’t troubled, you’d be unhappy without . Since I’m more important to you than Mr. Carter, whether he is troubled or happy doesn’t matter to you anymore."
"Are you done?" Jane Sampson waited a few seconds for Jas Black to continue, then asked instinctively.
"Yeah," Jas Black replied.
Jane Sampson burst out laughing.
What kind of twisted logic was that?
Jas Black truly was the worst at comforting people in this world.
After his attempt at comfort, Jane Sampson didn’t feel relieved at all.

Actually, her mood had improved a lot.
Seeing how Jas Black thought he had comforted her and was so earnest about it was truly amusing.
"Jas, you are mine, no one can take you away, not even Jillian Carter," Jane Sampson said. "And Mr. Carter is Jillian’s brother. I can’t take him away either. So, I’m just a bit disappointed, but I’m not sad or unhappy. It’s natural. I won’t dwell on minor issues."
Not everyone in the world has to love Jane Sampson.
Now that she had Jas, she truly felt content.

Because of the disparity from them being good to suddenly not being good, Jas Black feared Jane might not be able to adjust quickly.
