The mont it did, the crimson fog surrounding it was instantly cleared, and what I saw, sent that suppressed feeling of rage spiking, my eyes turned red, my blood boiled, and all reason flew out the window..

"I am VARETH KAL URG, son of the HIGH ZENITHAR OF THE ASURA DOMAIN, MOREN KAL URG"....

The creature stood up slowly, fully revealing its form..

I wasn’t listening, not anymore, not after recognizing what stood in front of ..

A monstrosity over 5 ters tall, dark crimson skin with twisted veins bulging beneath its skin, it’s muscles looked like darkened steel, muscular arms tipped with blackened steel like claws, it’s broad physique looking ominous within the dim lighting..

The tattered bat-like wings that unfurled behind it looking like banners of massacre and bloodshed, the jagged crimson horns protruding out of its forehead marking its identity clearly, even without any introductions, I recognized that foul aura, that vile presence....

"A demon..." the growl tore out of my throat, brutal, raw, filled with murderous intent...

Of course it was..

no wonder my body was reacting to that vile aura, of course it did, even in my bloody dreams, it did..

After all, it was this vile race that took everything, EVERYTHING FROM DANTE, FROM !!...

"This.....pitiful human—"

I wasn’t in the mood to listen to a third rate villain’s speech, I appeared before the creature, reality itself lagging behind, my fist flying with full force, nothing was held back, all my rage, my hatred, my pain, poured into that fist, wishing only one thing..

"DISAPPEAR!!!!!!!"

Boooooooooooooommmmmm!!!!!

The entire cavern exploded, the shockwave spreading wildly, I could feel the very dungeon shaking, but I didn’t care.

I just stared, unblinking at the sight before ..

The demon’s entire torso had been obliterated, but there was no notification, no kill notice..

"That...was rude...human"..

Ca the creature’s disgusting voice, it’s torso rapidly regenerating, bones forming anew, as the creature regained its monstrous form..

And that’s when I looked, truly at what I was facing..

The only reason I was even able to view its na and rank was because this thing, for so reason I wasn’t in the fra of mind to care about, had decided to hole up inside an E-rank dungeon, acting as it’s final boss..

Before I could register the words, a massive fist was already before my eyes, I could track them, and yet..

The impact was disastrous, I was blasted backwards with such speed I broke the sound barrier, causing concussive booming sounds, my head spinning...

I couldn’t even register the notification.

Another solid fist connected with my back, and I could here sothing snap, sothing important...

I bit down on the scream that threatened to tear out of , I wasn’t going to let that thing witness scream. I’m never giving it that satisfaction..

I heard it befor I even saw it, another punch, but this ti, I reacted..

kicked in almost instinctively...

Imdiately, "STOP!".

I uttered, voice like a verdict, and the atmosphere adhered..

The demon’s fist froze mid air, the very air turning into still water, denying it the very concept of motion..

It didn’t last, the punch tore through the resistance with a wet crack!!

But it was enough with , Chaotic Adaptation in tandem with already nding whatever that thing had broken...

I distanced myself, appearing more than 100 ters away..

"Ahhh~~~ interesting, very interesting, hahahaha" the demon laughed, voice tinged with the faintest hint of interest..

"To think you survived a whole 50% of my strength, tsk tsk, who would’ve thought I’d find such a talented human in this backwater domain" the demon continued...

It was saying words my mind currently refused to register..

I was only seeing red..

One of Them was before ..

One of the things that stole everything from ..

The very reason a 5 year old Dante had decided to abandon everything that made him a child to train. Train to the point of exhaustion. Train to the point of losing his goddamn life. A life I’m just now trying to put back together.

They stole my happiness, they stole my childhood, they stole my warmth, THEY STOLE EVERYTHING!!!!

And now one of them appears before ? Mocking? Cocky?..

One of them appears before , right when I had just begun my path to power? Power to annihilate EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM? Daring to oppose ? Stop...?

Daring to threaten to take away my newly found warmth? My Aunt V? My lissa???

"UNACCEPTABLE!!!!"....

I thought I had adapted, I really did, I thought I’d synchronized fully with Dante, accepted everything of him as mine..

But as I stared at the demon, it’s face twisted with manic glee, the disdain in its eyes, as if looking at so insignificant prey..

Sothing within snapped....

Then ca the mories....

All short 5 years of happiness before darkness...

Then ca the feelings..

The pain, the hate, the rage, the chaotic storm of emotions that threatened to drown him..

Only to be kept at bay by Her-No-Their Warmth...

"Little human, I’ve been dormant for way too long, so be a good little pet and make this fun".. the demon spoke, grinning maniacally..

In that single mont, there truly no longer were two souls within one body..

In that mont of shared anger and rage and pain and hate...

I beca, fully and completely DANTE...

"WAR GOD ASCENSION"...

And this demon was about to regret ever appearing before for the short span of its miserable existence...

A/N: Dante finally ets a demon, and he’s not happy, not at all..

Just to be clear, Power ranking and Talent ranking, despite all being graded from F~SSS are essentially different..

So seeing a C-rank warrior dog walking an A-rank is common territory for monstrous geniuses..

Our boy proves that easily no?
