Sweat beaded on Su Qinglan’s temples. Her hand instinctively moved to her swollen belly, holding it lightly.
The baby inside kicked hard, as if sensing the threat.
"Fucking hell," she thought. "I should not have co here." Why did she step into this room? Now she was trapped.
Gritting her teeth, she forced her voice out, cold and steady. "What do you want?"
The man behind her chuckled again, this ti lower, almost intimate. "Definitely you."
Anger surged through Su Qinglan like boiling oil. Her blood pressure spiked, making her vision blur at the edges. She ground her teeth harder.
"Rong Yanchen. Don’t push your luck."
The man stepped closer. A smile blood on his face.
"Su Qinglan You haven’t even seen my face, yet you recognize so easily. Can I think... is this the love you have for ? That you can recognize even in another world?"
His voice carried a mischievous tone, but Su Qinglan felt nothing but disgust.
If not for the sharp point pressing against her back, she would have slamd her elbow into his chest. His hot breath fanned across her neck, making the fine hairs there stand up in pure revulsion.

Rong Yanchen suddenly laughed, a deep, mocking sound that echoed in the quiet room.

He leaned in even closer, his voice turning into a sinister whisper.
