After spending so ti with his wife, her little version, and his daughter, Marcus decided to see what his son is doing.
He found him in his quarters aboard the Archangel, reading and doing so basic tinkering, which reminded him of what he did at that age.
"As you can see, the war is over, the two factions no longer exist, there is only one faction, soon there will be only one faction in the whole world." The disguised Emperor said to his rebellious son.
"I see. It would seem you can't stop conquering." Kira comnted on what his father was doing.
"I am doing what you want," Marcus replied with an eyeroll
"That is not what I want!" The brown-haired teen replied with a bit of head.
"To stop fighting, you need to remove the source of fighting. And that source is independent nations.
Once there is only one nation, people would stop looking inwards and focus outwards.
Simply stopping the fighting will lead to future conflicts, as you have now. You need to focus on the disease itself and not the symptoms." Marcus explained to him.
"..."
His son thought about it for a while before asking the burning question.
"...What is going to happen to ?" Kira asked, still processing what he had heard.
"Well, if you will continue to be difficult, I will most likely take you with to my world," Marcus replied with a pondering look.
"..."
"One way or another, you are my son, my responsibility.
This world should not have Innavotors, or if they should have them, then at least rule the world, as that is what they are supposed to do as the apex species." The Disguised Emperor comnted.
"So either I rule the world, or I am to leave this reality," Kira concluded, realising that he was between a hard place and a stone.
"Indeed. That's the price of my power, son." After saying that, he left him in his room.
"..."
The teen sighed as he looked at his hand.
'This is one huge ss.'
~~~
Marcus looked at the officers lined up from both factions. Well, everyone is wearing white uniforms, but a considerable number of them are forr Coordinators who were part of ZAFT.
So it was a bit strange, since these were new faces, young faces.
"Right, let's start with the eting." With that said, he summoned a map of an island nation. It was ORB.
'We really are attacking ORB next.' Cagalli was not surprised. She realised what would happen the mont she heard the motto of the new nation her father was making.
"Don't underestimate ORB just because it's a small nation."
"They have data and were part of the developnt of the GAT series; on top of that, they have Coordinators. That ans their technological level is considerable.
We are going to surround them and attack from all sides. Including space."
Marcus began to explain that they would attack in waves to weaken them until they had no troops left.
Honestly, this fight will be a 10-to-1 ratio. These are overwhelming odds.
"I will request them to surrender, but honestly, I doubt they will accept." Marcus sighed.
"Lord Uzumi won't surrender, father," Cagalli comnted from the side.
"Indeed. That much I have foreseen."
"With all due respect, sir. But won't it be easier just to leave them be and focus on Equatorial countries or Scandinavia?"
"No. They are the most advanced nation right after us, and I refuse to let them be because we don't know what the future has in store. They might declare neutrality, but things like these change.
Maybe not now or tomorrow, but a hundred years from now or two. It doesn't matter. What matters is that there can only be one nation.
Humanity will be united so that future generations won't need to turn inwards and only focus on the outside.
Internal conflicts are primitive, and they should be left behind for history and its records." Marcus explained to his officers, making them nod a couple of tis.
"For now, return to your posts and focus on rebuilding."
The disguised Emperor dismissed his officers, leaving behind only his Lacus and Cagalli.
"...Father, let speak with Lord Uzumi before we invade."
"Don't worry, I will give them enough chances to give up. Among them is you talking with him." He nodded at his daughter.
His reply made her sigh in relief as she was happy enough to have such a chance.
"...And what about my brother?"
"I gave Kira a choice: either he sucks it up, or I am taking him with . There is no way I will allow my blood to exist in this reality and not control it." Marcus rolled his eyes. Internally, he was still pissed that his son ended up like that.
He has this urge to smack him around each ti he broods like that.
"I see… by the way… There are a couple of new Gundam models that don't have pilots~ one of them is a red one." Cagalli showed him a cute face, using puppy eyes.
"You want to switch?"
"Hmph! Of course! There should be only one Aegis, but sohow I fought one, and you fought one! It's not fair." The Princess puffed her cheeks, making Marcus and Lacus chuckle.
"Sure, then take it."
"There is still Kira's Freedom, what should we do with it?" Lacus reminded him of the white-and-blue-winged machine.
"Hmm…"
Marcus pondered for a second.
"We shall see."
With that said, several days have passed, and multiple Laurasia- and Nazca-class ships have been repaired. With the power of mobile workers, fixing damaged ships is not difficult.
Especially ships designed for swift resupply and repair.
"Our assets are approaching close to a 100 warships… the numbers are simply absurd." Captain Ramius comnted as she watched a huge line-up of ships from both the Earth Alliance and ZAFT.
"Yes, well, General Anaheim knows how to motivate, and we are not losing warships. There is a huge backlog of ships that are currently getting built in the drydocks around the Earth Sphere.
The sa applies to ZAFT ships." Mu La Flaga comnted, looking at the sa thing. It was a bit strange. Why? Because their ship is currently docked in Aprilius One! Their capital!
No Natural has been here since 65 C.E., which was over six years ago.
So it feels a bit weird.
"Indeed, and now this massive fleet is pointing its guns at a small island nation in the Pacific Ocean."
"Well, what can I say… sucks to be them?" The blonde man shrugged, and the captain snorted at such a reply.
As the fleet was preparing for the last couple of conquests, Marcus had put his talents to work. Organising upgrades for ZAFT ships that will have barrier and reflector technologies.
Installing extra drop pods for Earth Alliance ships that will drop mobile suits on top of enemy forces.
Reorganising and rging both militaries into one singular entity.
As the military is getting ready, another Archangel-class warship arrived. Its na… Dominion.
A perfect copy and a flagship in its own right.
"...Are you kidding … we are going to serve on a Legged ship." Yzak was speechless. Here he was, hoping for Nazca or even retrofitted Laurasia, but it's the legged ship!
A ship that traumatised and made a mockery of him!
"Look at the colours, Yzak. This ship ain't the sa one."
"Precisely." A female voice said from behind. The trio turned around and saw a female officer; behind her was another younger girl.
"General Anaheim, assigned you three and that ship to ." She walked over and looked at Dominion docking in Aprilius One PLANT.
"I was there when Archangel survived your bombing." She comnted, making the trio grimace. Yep, they expected that! Marcus Anaheim will assign them to an officer who has a bone to pick.
"..."
"...Umm.. water under a bridge… Captain?" Athrun comnted, trying to reason with her.
"It's Captain Natarle Badgiruel, and if you assu that I care about that, then you are mistaken." She walked over closer to a massive window.
"My job is to be captain of that ship, and you are now Dominion's mobile suit squad." She then turned around and looked at them.
"You were given a set of Gundam series machines. Only the best pilots get the best possible ship.
Do you all understand that?"
"...Wait, I assu that I will pilot a GuAIZ or even GINN," Athrun recalled that he was starting as a private!
"We did our own tests for your capabilities, and we concluded that making you pilot a GINN or GuAIZ or even our commander class 105s is a waste of your talent.
You will pilot your Aegis." The woman smiled at the son of the previous Supre Council Chairman.
"...Oh…"
"And you two will be piloting refurbished Buster and Duel, while she will pilot a Custom Strike." The captain explained to them.
The guys looked at the brown-haired girl, who saluted and introduced herself.
"Varrant Officer Shiho Hahnenfuss."
"Oh, I think I heard of her," Yzak comnted as he tried to recall the girl.
"She was a fellow redcoat just like you three." The newly promoted Captain reminded them.
"...I was stationed in Carpentaria. But then I was transferred back to the PLANTs. Though it didn't matter as the defence at Jachin Due fell apart." The girl explained her service record.
"Indeed, she used to pilot a custom CGUE General Anaheim personally gave her the Strike. Once it goes through refurbishnt and upgrades, we will move towards the Earth and the Pacific Ocean."
"...Is it true that we will attack ORB?" Athrun asked his new captain.
"Yes, Orb is the last true target; there is no other power in the Earth Sphere that could resist after we take it over.
Once Orb is secured, we will be the only power that has Mass Drives."
"...Honestly, the way General positioned this Federation to have 'right' to conquer the whole Earth Sphere is…impressive," Yzak comnted while shaking his head.
He doesn't even feel 'bad' for invading a Sovereign Independent country. It's like it's his superior moral ground.
Their goal is the unification of all mankind, not just Naturals or Coordinators, but all people! Who could possibly fight against such a lofty goal!?
In other words, Marcus used diplomacy to make anyone who opposed them look like the bad guys who don't desire a single nation for all of humanity, who don't want true everlasting peace.
"Indeed. He is the reason we are here. General Anaheim reford the military and swiftly ended the war." The Captain of Dominion praised Marcus, though the young pilots were a bit scared, since they had heard the other story about him.
How he slaughtered Blue Cosmos and did a coup in the Atlantic Federation.
"Captain, the ship has docked. We are beginning the mobile suit transfer." One of the officers entered the observation room and notified the gathered personnel.
"Understood, let's go." Natarle motioned for the pilots to follow her.
With not the four of them began to follow her.
~~~
"That's one huge ship," Dearka comnted as he could finally inspect the ship as a mber of it and not a prisoner.
"We've been in it before." Yzak rolled his eyes at the blonde's comnts.
"Yeah, behind bars. I saw a lot." The Buster's pilot sarcastically replied.
His reply made Yzak and Athrun grimace, while the new teammate was confused. Behind bars? What does that suppose to an?
'Oh, Earth Alliance captured them.'
The girl decided not to comnt; from the looks of it, it was not a fun experience for the three of them.
"For now, explore the ship and familiarise yourself with the interior. We should be leaving in a couple of days' ti." With that said, the Captain left them as she went to familiarise herself with the crew.
"...Right so…" Dearka looked at the leaving captain.
"Let's go." Yzak went the other way, not even knowing what was in that way.
"Should we ask for a map or directions?" The blonde teen comnted.
"We have ti, I don't see a reason why we shouldn't just explore," Athrun comnted as he looked around.
"Fair enough." Dearka nodded at the suggestion. "Still, this ship is huge.
"From the looks of it, it's almost twice the size of a Nazca Class." Athrun wasn't sure, but it looked massive when it passed the stationed Destroyers.
