If it were just acquired magic that didn't require a chant, its power would be impressive, but it wouldn't be enough to truly shock soone like Riveria.
However, if this spell were actually a form of congenital magic, it would be enough to overturn the entire world's definition of the supernatural.
Thinking of this, Riveria's eyes took on a slightly fervent intensity.
"Your eyes are terrifying. It's like you want to devour ," Sion remarked, looking at Riveria with a wry smile.
"Is it that obvious?" Riveria touched her face, looking uncharacteristically embarrassed.
"I can understand it. It's like a greedy person seeing soone carrying a hundred million valis. Even if they know it does not belong to them, they can't help but want a closer look."
Riveria managed a small joke in return. "Actually, I don't just want to look. I also want to ask where one can make that much money."
Although Riveria was royalty and arguably the noblest elf in the world, she carried no arrogance.
On the contrary, she often detested the excessive, stifling respect others showed her.
Though only soone like Sion could crack a lighthearted joke with her.
"Alright then. Take a look."
Sion turned his back to the two of them and lifted his shirt. His back was smooth, baring no sign of a gods Falna.
Riveria looked closely. As a strong mage herself, she could tell the difference between dormant falna and a total absence of it.
"It really is..."
Riveria couldn't help but reach out. Her finger traced across Sion's bare back, sending a slight chill down his spine.
"Of course it is true. There is no way to hide sothing like this," Sion said, lowering his shirt. "Only an idiot would try to lie about sothing so easily verified, right?"
It was truly rare for an elf to directly touch a stranger's body. It was a testant to just how shaken Riveria was.
"Even seeing this with my own eyes feels like a dream. It is simply too incredible," Riveria sighed. Then, her gaze sharpened with interest. "Sion, would you be interested in becoming an adventurer? Will you join the Loki Familia?"
"Not yet."
Riveria's intent was so clear that Sion answered decisively. "I know the benefits of receiving falna. But besides wanting to reach my physical limit, I have specific reasons why I cannot choose a familia on a whim."
Improving oneself before receiving Falna was a concept Riveria understood well.
The captain of the Loki Familia, Finn Deimne, had honed his skills and wisdom since he was ten and receiving Falna at fourteen after reaching his limit.
Riveria herself had not beco an adventurer until she was seventy one.
"The reason is...?" Riveria hesitated. "Of course, if it is a private matter, feel free to ignore ."
"There is nothing to hide." Sion looked back at her with a smile. "My lover is a mber of the Hera Familia. Things are fine while I am a civilian, but if I were to join a rival Familia, I would rather not deal with the marital quarrels that might follow."
"The Hera Familia?!" Riveria's eyes widened in astonishnt. "The strongest Familia in Orario?"
"Mhm." Sion nodded. "Although she is a mber of the Hera Familia, my lover is quite frail. She is under the direct protection of lady Hera, so I have to be very careful in this regard."
"I see... That's a genuine sha."
Beyond her disappointnt at being unable to recruit Sion for Loki, the fact that he already had a lover caused her a strange, fleeting sense of regret.
It wasn't that she had fallen for him in first sight, but rather the regret of a single woman eting a rare, compatible peer.
It was rare for a High Elf of her age to be entirely unattached.
Having left her holand, she didn't care much for racial purity. She simply wanted a partner who wasn't a roughneck.
Sion t all her criteria.
Such a sha, she thought.
"More monsters are coming."
Sion's voice snapped them back to attention. It took another five or six seconds before a dozen Orcs finally erged from the depths of the fog and darkness.
Riveria was stunned once again. Because of the distance and the environnt, even she a Level 3 adventurer had failed to detect the enemies as early as he had.
Sion's sensory range was clearly outclassing her natural intuition.
