Now reading: Chapter 28: Incarnation of talent from Danmachi: The Magic Grandmaster, a Action novel by verse7.

Among high class adventurers, there are different classifications.

Level 2s are considered 3rd tier, Levels 3 and 4 are 2nd tier, and Level 5 and above are 1st tier.

A Level 2 is effectively superhuman. Their basic abilities, including their five senses, far exceed those of ordinary people.

That was why Riveria was surprised that Sion had discovered the enemy's presence before she did.

Thinking about it carefully, even though he didn't see the arrow, it still got deflected by his attack. She thought it was just a coincidence, but now she suspected it was the result of so kind of sensory ability.

"It's a perception based magic."

"I see." Riveria nodded, then gripped her staff. "I will take over from here."

"Please do." Seeing that Riveria was eager to show off her skills, Sion smiled and took a step back. "Please unleash your full power. I have confird there are no other adventurers within a 200m radius."

"Understood." Riveria responded, raising her staff and beginning her chant:

Harbinger of the end, the white snow. Blow with the wind before the twilight. Closing light, the freezing land. Blizzard, the three severe winters, my na is Alf!

A glowing magic circle expanded across the ground as Riveria focused all her Mind on the magic.

"I see..." Sion looked at the magic circle and imdiately deduced the underlying principles behind it.

Normally, using magic does not create a magic circle. Adventurers simply use their Mind to directly trigger magical phenona or magical effect. A magic circle is essentially a simplified ritual constructed from magic, similar to the ritual Sion used to enact a qualitative change in his Mind.

To passively manifest a magic circle when casting a spell, an adventurer must possess the Developnt Ability Mage.

A magic circle amplifies a spell's power and AOE, while significantly reducing the Mind consud during casting. It's the ultimate hallmark of a high tier mage.

"Falna is undeniably convenient," Sion murmured to himself.

Having grasped the principles behind magic circles, Sion realized he only needed to study them a bit more to cast them himself, bypassing the need for the Mage Developnt Ability entirely.

However, since the fundantal requirent for every spell is different, the magic circle would have to be manually constructed and adjusted for each one.

That was far more troubleso than the automated casting provided by Falna.

It was essentially the difference between a manual and an automation.

While Sion was pondering this, Riveria finished her chant.

"Wynn Fimbulvetr!"

The area within a hundred ters transford into a frozen hell, flash freezing all life in an instant.

Riveria possessed three magic slots, categorized into offense, defense, and healing. However, her unique spell structure featured concurrent chanting, allowing for three distinct chant lengths per spell.

Wynn Fimbulvetr was simply the first phase of her overarching offensive spell.

If she continued the chant past the winters to invoke the chaos of Ragnarok, it would transition from a short chant to a long chant, forming a wide area annihilation spell.

While the full extent of this completed magic was not explicitly detailed in the ani or even in the lightnovels, its power was undeniably monstrous most likely an indiscriminate large area destructive spell.

"Impressive," Sion said, clapping his hands. "Truly worthy of your bloodline."

Before them, the ground was entombed beneath a thick layer of ice and snow. The Orcs were completely frozen solid, their massive bodies slowly cracking and shattering from the extre cold.

Truthfully, Sion's magic could already reach this level of devastation. His Shockwave covered a wide area with imnse concussive force.

He had just used it to wipe out the Killer Ants, though its sheer range and output were not quite equal to Riveria's. It shows the simple gap in their total Mind capacity.

Furthermore, Sion possessed a spell comparable to Riveria's Rea Laevateinn.

He had already completed the elental attribute training for his miniature Rasenshuriken like spell.

Although his current Mind capacity was insufficient to unleash its full potential, the spell's structural complexity had already reached that high tier.

The destructive power of this type of magic depended entirely on how much Mind was poured into it.

As for the AOE, by making slight adjustnts during the detonation, the damage radius could be expanded at the cost of localized piercing power.

Plus, because the spell was highly compressed, as long as it was thrown at high speed, the resulting blast would not catch the user in its crossfire.

This was exactly why Sion evaluated his own mage capabilities around level 2.

In truth, Sion was being sowhat modest. Claiming his mage capabilities was at Level 3-4 would not have been a stretch, but he felt his spells still had plenty of room for developnt.

"Bloodline?" Riveria asked, tilting her head in confusion.

"Although acquired magic from a Falna is related to a person's interests and affinities, the actual strength of the spell depends heavily on individual talent," Sion explained. "Magic manifested by Elves, or those who inherit the blood of Spirits, is naturally far more powerful. These all fall under the category of bloodline talents."

"On the other hand," Sion continued, "Soone like , or the adventurer known by the alias Silence, are individuals who rely purely on their gifted talent."

"I see," Riveria exclaid in realization. "So that's how you interpret it."

Silence was Alfia's alias, while her other moniker, the Incarnation of Talent, reflected the world's absolute terror of her abilities.

Although he had never seen her in person, Sion could easily picture her by simply imagining teria with a cold, imposing deanor.

"By the way," Sion asked, looking back toward the tunnels, "are you heading down to the deeper floors next?"
