Led by Alfia, he stepped through the massive doors and then into the grand hall.
Dozens of female adventurers were scattered around the room, either sitting or standing all of them staring at Sion with varying expressions.
Whether their gazes were scrutinizing, intimidating, or rely curious, they all shared one common characteristic.
They were overwhelmingly oppressive.
A show of force, perhaps? Sion smiled.
The collective gaze of high class adventurers carried a trendous physical weight an invisible weight.
Coincidentally, however, while developing his spells, Sion had also been researching concepts for defensive magic, which involved manipulating aura and pressure.
Simply relying on his own Mind was more than enough for Sion to weather this storm.
"It's an honor to et you,
Lady Hera." Sion looked at the breathtakingly beautiful woman seated at the head of the hall. He lowered slightly and said, "I'm Sion, teria's lover."
"Mhm." Hera watched Sion and teria standing so closely together. She sighed inwardly, then gestured for them to take a seat.
"Thank you."
Sion sat down on the plush sofa. teria sat closely by his side, and Alfia sat down on his other side.
Hera watched Alfia's actions with astonishnt.
"Good lad," Hera praised, her lips curving upward. "Not only did you took my precious teria, but you even managed to gain Alfia's approval. That's quite impressive."
Although Alfia called Hera an old hag, it strictly referred to her personality. Despite having peerless beauty, her temper was exactly like that of an old woman.
Sharp, authoritative and extrely short fused.
"You flatter , Lady Hera," Sion replied calmly. "I rely did what any devoted man should do."
The lingering hostility in Hera's eyes vanished, replaced by a genuine hearty smile. "Not a bad answer at all."
She didn't have many complaints about Sion.
However, to avoid her Familia putting too much undue pressure on Sion, teria had kept Hera at arm's length until now.
Now that Sion had achieved such remarkable feats, Hera was extrely satisfied with him.
Regardless of her initial reservations, Hera had been eagerly looking forward to eting Sion ever since he formulated the cure for her daughters skills.
Furthermore, seeing an ordinary civilian remain completely unfazed by her familia's collective show of force, and observing even the notoriously misanthropic Alfia choosing to sit by his side... it all served as absolute proof of Sion's excellence.
"Your congenital spell is of imnse strategic value to our familia," Hera stated directly. "What do you want for it?"
"Approval," Sion said calmly. "I want your blessing, and the formal recognition of the Hera familia."
"That's all?" Hera asked. "Ignoring your connection to teria, you could easily demand more than ten billion valis from for the tactical value of this magic."
"Whether you want a high tier weapon or a Grimoire, I have the ans to satisfy your wildest demands."
"Your approval is more important than anything else," Sion replied without hesitation. "Besides, I'll earn those material things through my own abilities in due ti."
He was not trying to buy Hera's approval by trading his spells. He was securing it through his own inherent worth.
He was effectively declaring that even though he was unblessed by Falna, he was a treasure trove of unlimited potential and he would never mistreat her precious daughter.
That was the hidden weight behind his words.
Of course, there were so ulterior motives involved as well. If his ideals ever clashed with the Hera familia in the future, or if he needed a shield to avoid getting dragged into the chaotic quarrels between Zeus and Hera, obtaining Hera's official promise of approval now was necessary.
"Very well." Hera looked at Sion with great interest, then readily nodded. "I approve of you."
Upon hearing her decree, the suffocating atmosphere in the grand hall instantly relaxed.
"Not bad, kid." A scantily clad, slightly tanned woman chuckled as she walked over and placed a heavy hand on Sion's shoulder. "Although you're quite physically frail, you have a massive presence. If you were not teria's man, I might have just snatched you away for myself."
"The Empress?" Sion blinked, instantly guessing her identity.
"Why the uncertain tone?" the Empress blinked back.
"You idiot Captain, do not forget that when Sion first arrived in Orario, he didn't even speak the continent's common tongue. It's a miracle he recognized you at all," another beautiful Familia executive laughed.
"Oh right, how did you recognize ? Did teria describe my features to you?" The Empress smiled broadly. "As expected of my cute teria, does she really look up to that much?"
"No..." Sion ruthlessly shattered her delusion. "I simply sensed that you had the craziest aura out of everyone in this room."
"That's just cruel," the Empress shrugged, completely unconcerned, and flashed a grin. "My na is Elsa. You can call Lady Elsa if you like."
"Understood, Elsa," Sion nodded politely.
Seeing Sion's completely unruffled expression and his blatant refusal to use the honorific, Elsa narrowed her eyes slightly before smiling and shaking her head.
Interesting...
[A/N: There's no ntion of Empress's na. So, gonna stick with Elsa.]
