The Empress was the strongest adventurer in the world.
Sion had stated from the very beginning that he wanted to gain the approval of Hera and her familia.
No matter how strong the executives were, they were still subordinate to their god. Therefore, once Hera gave her blessing the rest of the familia would naturally accept him as one of their own.
In truth, his sheer competence had already won over most of the mbers. After chatting with the girls in the hall, he had quickly deduced the power dynamics and the main fighting force of the Familia.
Not long after, a familia mber walked in carrying a leather bound book and respectfully handed it to Hera.
"You have thoroughly satisfied , kid." Hera extended the book toward Sion. "I'm a soone who rewards rit. I can't have people saying I was stingy. So, Consider this as a greeting gift."
"Thank you." Sion bowed slightly and accepted the to from her hands.
This was a Grimoire.
"What are your thoughts on receiving falna and becoming an adventurer?" Hera asked, leaning back in her throne.
"I'll leave the timing up to you," Sion nodded respectfully.
"It will take at least a few more months before my foundation is perfect enough to receive Falna. Besides I'm designing spells to counter teria's skills."
"Designing spells?" Hera squinted lightly. "What exactly are you planning to do?"
Hera loved the twins dearly, and their incurable conditions were a constant source of grief for her. Sion's ability to treat their afflictions had earned him an imnse amount of her affection.
Hearing that he had further plans, made her even more eager to listen.
"Acquired magic granted by a Falna corresponds to a person's identity, their interests, their willpower and their personal understanding of the arcane," Sion explained.
"If I read this grimoire before receiving falna, I can use my understanding of magic to force the grimoire to manifest the exact spell I desire."
By using a Grimoire before his status was locked in by a Falna, he could avoid the rigid restrictions of limited magic slots and bypass the random, unpredictable nature of divine inspiration.
Compared to the passive magic granted by ranking up, forcing a spell out of a grimoire through sheer willpower was vastly more targeted.
He was going to custom build a spell to save teria.
"It's theoretically feasible, but... the ntal fortitude required to impose your will on a grimoire is staggering." Hera's expression softened into sothing resembling genuine awe as she sighed. "Even I can't help but think that its her greatest fortune to have found you."
Sion and teria exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with tender smiles.
What more needed to be said?
Hera watched their silent exchange and smiled. "You have proven your worth entirely. Whatever resources you need moving forward are an investnt in you, and a reward for treating my daughters."
"It's my duty as her lover to heal her afflictions," Sion said, shaking his head. "If I want to obtain sothing from you, I'll earn it through my own inherent value. And a confidential intelligence is part of that value."
"Intelligence?" Hera looked sowhat surprised, but she nodded regally. "Go ahead, then. Speak. I'll fairly assess the value of your information."
Sion's expression turned dead serious. "A thousand years ago, the rcenary King, Albert Waldstein, fought a desperate battle against the black dragon. Although he managed to severely injure the beast and gouge out one of its eyes, it was also during that exact battle that the Great spirit of wind, Aria was devoured by that monster."
Sion spoke slowly, ensuring every word landed with impact. "When a great Spirit rges with a monster of that caliber, its potential and power increase infinitely. The current Zeus and Hera familias have no power to resist it. If you face it now, you will only be slaughtered!"
"Even Elsa and Alfia would not be able to put a scratch on it."
"..."
The entire hall fell dead silent.
Hera frowned deeply. "I'll not ask where you acquired this forgotten lore. How much more do you know about the black dragon?"
The gods in this world were primordial beings who descended from tenkai. All gods technically shared the sa divine nature.
However, equal divine nature did not equate to equal power and authority. In tenkai, there was a hierarchy of deities who wielded absolute power, known as the great gods.
Ouranos and Zeus were among the highest tier. As Zeus's wife and equal, Hera was privy to the deepest, darkest secrets of the gekkai.
"I apologize, but that's the extent of my knowledge regarding the beast itself," Sion shrugged. "What I do know is that if the Zeus and Hera familias charge straight into the Dragon's Valley as you are now, you will be ravaged. You'll have no power to resist."
"Alfia possesses the sheer destructive potential to theoretically defeat the black dragon, but she'd need to be at least level 9, with a completely healthy body. And even that is just my optimistic speculation."
As Sion spoke, the atmosphere in the room grew incredibly heavy.
"Your speculation is based on the data you have gathered on during my treatnts?" Alfia frowned sharply, her eyes narrowing into dangerous slits.
Being looked down upon was never a pleasant feeling, especially when the dismissal ca from soone she had grown to like.
This was a completely new, irritating experience for her.
"It's not speculation, rely a statistical fact," Sion stated flatly.
Is that true...? Does he possess so form of precognition magic? Hera speculated inwardly, her mind racing to his words.
"Umm, you're underestimating us far too much," Elsa suddenly spoke up, her tone laced with extre displeasure as she crossed her arms.
"And you did not even ntion ! ? The strongest adventurer in the world!"
Sion turned his gaze to Elsa. "The strongest in the world? Tell , Elsa, could a single full powered strike of yours completely wipe the entire kingdom of rakia off the map?"
"Huh?" Elsa blinked, completely derailed by the sheer absurdity of the question.
