*Swish!*
He was even worse than Derrivan, who had survived the first attack back then. His saber and his body were perfectly cut in four, and Roan’s Dark Red Lightning, supported by Rean’s Light Elent, destroyed everything. Datian, Soul, body, you na it. What fell on the ground a second later wasn’t a body, but a charred pile of ashes that had sparks of red lightning running through it.
Everyone’s eyes opened wide.
’Just what kind of power was that?’ Fescan swallowed hard, and his companions were no better.
What Roan just displayed wasn’t sothing that only laws could explain. His power was definitely similar to a Peak Stage Space-Bending Realm expert or higher, even though everyone’s cultivation was suppressed. No, even more impressive, did he just use Spatial Powers? How did he use Spatial Powers with his cultivation suppressed to the Transition Realm?
It wasn’t over there, though.
Rean, Kentucky, and Celis also attacked the other three Divinity Realm experts from Ferdi’s group. Of course, they saw what happened to Ferdi, and that gave them ti to react.
’Red Life, Lightning Slash!’
’Kawa Bird Strike!’
’Energy Draining Prison!’
*Kabrum, bang, suuuuuuuu!*
Too bad that wasn’t enough. It wasn’t only Roan. Every mber of their quartet was that strong, with two major Laws supporting them, not to ntion Celestial Bloodline, Celestial Soul, Sky Energy, etc. It wasn’t even a competition.
’Camazotz Blood Spears!’
’Sickle Slaughter!’
Rifindio and Elsie didn’t stay put either. Before Roan even acted, he told those two to use their skills to prevent the rest of Ferdi’s group from escaping. They weren’t as strong as the rest, but they could at least execute that simpler task.
It only lasted another two seconds, and the other three Divinity Realm Experts from Ferdi’s group were killed. No amount of laws or life-saving treasures helped them keep their lives.
*Vaw!*
Roan bradished his two Elental Intent Scythes one last ti, and they disappeared. The sa went for Rean’s Elental Intent Swords. Just like Roan, Rean used two Intent Weapons now.
"Bleh... terrible taste," Celis spoke to the side, having tasted his target’s Divine Energy. The guy he killed looked more like a dried corpse. Even his life energy was completely absorbed.
"So much for trying to hide our strength..." Kentucky also spoke, using his Black Flas to incinerate the corpse of the last guy. "Zirconio, good move. He tried to dodge, but your blood spears blocked his path perfectly."
That was obviously Rifindio’s fake na here, as there were Camazotz Bats in the Golden Palace this ti.
Rifindio faintly smiled. He did help, yes, but he could also see the difference in strength between him and Kentucky. He couldn’t wait for the ti when he would finally get to comprehend laws. "Sure..."
As for Elsie, she used her Intent Sickles to cause several injures on the guy that Celis trapped in his Energy Draining Prison. That contributed to Celis drying the guy out even faster. "You guys are just out of the charts..."
Rean then turned in Fescan’s direction. Because everyone ran far away, there wasn’t any Divine Sense watching them at the mont... except for Fescan’s group’s Divine Senses, of course. "I hope you keep this small display our little secret."
Fescan’s mouth twitched, and he forced a smile. To think he told the twins’ group to co look for him if they survived. Ha! What a joke. It was better to ask the twins to protect him instead. "S-Sure..."
Kentucky looked away, completely forgetting the guys they had just killed. "What about the lake now? Should we go back and take a look?"
Rean, who spent his sweet ti gathering the Spatial Rings of those experts, nodded. "Not bad, quite a lot of Rank Seven and even so Rank Eight Divine Stones. Anyway, we should go back there and check it out. As long as soone doesn’t drop into the lake, the lake will have nowhere to take energy from to cause another explosion."
Roan agreed with him. "Besides, I’m more interested in those waterfalls. Kentucky, we will need to fly past the lake."
"Eh?!" Kentucky didn’t like the idea at all. "Do you have any idea how hard it is to fly with all this gravity? What if we fall into the lake? Let’s just go around it."
Celis turned to Fescan. "What are you guys planning to do?"
Fescan did not see the twins’ group as so defenseless bunch anymore, but experts at the sa level as he and his companions. No, they were actually stronger! "We... will take a look as well..." he wouldn’t just give up, though. If anything, these explosions and the lake’s power were probably a sign of sothing impressive there.
"Let’s go!" The twins walked ahead, although Kentucky continued to say he was not going to fly above the lake.
As they returned, so did so groups that survived, and also a few other groups that arrived late. They all entered the clear area of the lake, and sure enough, it all looked like no such explosion had ever happened. The only difference was that many extra body parts were now floating on the murky water. Obviously, those parts were from the experts who died to fuel the explosions.
There was no reason to keep the secret from the other groups who arrived later, so when asked, the survivors explained what happened. After all, not saying anything could lead to another explosion, and they might not be so luck to escape this ti. The main priority was not to underestimate the lake’s powers.
"So anyone who falls inside will have all their energy sucked, and it will be used to generate the explosions everyone saw, is it?" Soone asked, simplifying the whole ordeal.
"That’s pretty much it," one of the survivors confird.
"Let’ go around the lake. Do anything you want, but make sure you and your companions don’t fall into it." Another expert, soone from F952, spoke, and his group began to walk around the lake shore.
The others followed, so going to the right, while others went to the left. Roan looked at Kentucky, but the bird was adamant about not crossing the lake by flying. "Fine, let’s go around."
The groups walked, and initially, nothing seed to happen. Not only that, more experts seed to converge at the lake, and they received the sa warning as the rest. Just like Kentucky, no flying capable beings dared try to fly past the lake.
However, a problem soon presented itself. The groups kept walking around the lake, which didn’t seem all that big. No more than a few tens of kiloters wide from right to left. Yet, it didn’t matter how much they walked or ran, for so reason, they seed to never be able to reach the end of the right and left sides. If anything, more groups began to gather, as if the first groups who started to walk around the lake had actually waited for them, which they didn’t.
At so point, it beca quite clear. So kind of spatial manipulation was being used in this place, and going around the lake wouldn’t work unless they figured out how that was happening.
