Ravedos had ran out of the lab room, leaving his team to go after The Harlem. Running into a dreary hallway he kept pace going after him but unknowing to him, he expected that from the leader.
With a snap if his fingers demons exited the doors opposite each other that Captain ended running in the middle of them. The sense of them stopped him in his tracks and he jumped back to reposition himself. Several attacked and were killed but there were a bit too many and he had to quicken his pace so not to be overwheld by the numbers.
So had managed to bite on him, on his neck, arms, legs and torso, tearing off his flesh with razor sharp teeth. His screams echoed through the hallways and his anger built. His mind flashed mories of when he had lost control when his team was in peril, he was too powerful then after losing his temper only to be stopped by the looks of his disappointed team and disproving hatred he received from Donny.
He was in his mind for far too long allow the demons to do as they willed, and one tried the fatal blow of decapitating him. The last it saw was its body dropping to the ground in shock. Ravedos had glared at The Harlem and shouted his true na, "ORIGUS!!"
The demon was stood still a good distance away from the chaos and turned to look in fear.
anwhile Veronicah was thrown across the lab room into chemicals that had no effect on her for she had great resistance to their corrosion. Her clothing lted from the chemicals being destroyed at a molecular level and she had no option but to adorn her old garnts. The room was illuminated by a wonderful and blinding light that engulfed the angel.
Screeching in pain, the demon on the wall with tentacles tried to retreat from the glorious light but Dante took advantage. Rushing to it he leaped and thrusted his sword into the tentacle demons body. It screeched from the pain afflicted on it and he drove his sword deeper into it.
Blood squirted out of the area and the sword struck its heart at the demon's core.
Fully clothed, the angel used her sword to slash open the sa demon and exposed another heart that was beating irregularly and drove her sword into it, puncturing the heart. Overwheld with pain, it used its tentacles to push them back.
On the floor they were panting, "Ugh, fuck!" Dante said frustrated.
"Quit fucking whining Dante!" Donny retorted.
"You make fighting that fucking thing easy," Dante spoke.
Veronicah caught her breathe and attacked the tentacle demon. "Can't you help us?" Dante said standing back on his feet. He went back to attack it as well switching turns stabbing and slashing the demon with Veronicah.
"Great question genius! But we also have our hands here!" Donny exclaid.
He and Marie were defending themselves from demons that crawled into the room and attacked them. Marie with her bow and arrows to shoot at the demons and Donny with her dagger to finish and attack the demons. They had already used their ammunition and resorted to their secondary weapons.
It was expected that they were going to fight many demons, but this was far too many than they had expected. When they had managed to deal with the fourth wave of demons, the one that Veronicah and Dante had a hassle with was their focus. Providing support for the other strong mber of their team who still fall short of their leader.
After killing all the demons hounding him, he was left panting covered in bites. His skin began to slowly heal, and he took the chance to recuperate. Origus wasn't in sight.
Traversing through the halls he hunted the demon himself.
Following his senses, he had to follow the power in the building. 'I must be getting close to him,' he said under his breath as he treaded slowly around the corners and peeking to check the coast of the halls he was turning into instead of running in blindly. The halls were longer and sharper than he expected and had to adapt to the area.
A sudden chilly breeze hit him, and his eyes shot wide. At a certain point deep in the building, in one of the halls the light were flickering, and it reeked of blood. He peeked around the corner and saw a demon devouring bodies. Corpses of more armoured n who were lured deep down to the sub-level.
What was feasting off the corpse was a demonic beast that hunted its prey precisely. He hadn't seen a talis seen he had left his ho centuries ago. These creatures brought about a chilly breeze any where it had gone. The closer it got to its prey the colder it feels making move slowly so that it swiftly attacks it. It was large in size, quite taller than Ravedos and had a slimr stature than him. It had sharp claws, but it would use them to keep its prey in place.
Eating was done by its round mouth with several rows of teeth spinning in opposite directions from one row to another. How could eat it hunt what it couldn't see? A question so of the more intellectual demons had asked. The answer was simple anything that moved was an option and not a suggestion. They had a sense of sll that was weak, but it was enough to tell its own kind apart from other creatures. Though it had blindness it made it up was the above features.
Ravedos never dared to go up against those as they were vicious. It seed that the one he was after letting it out and he too was afraid of it. With the strength Ravedos had accumulated her would surely win, right? Well, let's find out.
'Shit! How did he bring that here?' he thought.
It softly growled, unsatiated from the al it had. Blood dripping from its mouth, standing on its crooked legs it made a deafening shriek that even he covered his ears, wincing in pain. He aid his gun toward the opposite end of the hallway and fired a bullet.
The sound of the gun made the shrieking end, and the bullet hit an object and the sound echoed. It ran toward the sound and didn't notice him.
He had so ti to breathe but he could stop. Getting closer to the source of power that needed to stop.
