Tomorrow, she would go to find Dorian again, to tell him about her pregnancy. And would he be happy? Can the past between them be reconciled?
Her heart was so anxious. She was afraid that even if he knew about her pregnancy, he would still be as cold as he was today, afraid that everything she personally cut off could never be nded again.
"Baby, your daddy will definitely be happy to have you, he will, he said he likes children, he said if we had a child, he would treat it like a treasure." She murmured to herself, as if these words could give her courage.
That night, she threw up twice more. Not wanting to raise her parents’ suspicion, she used a plastic bag to vomit in her room, then quietly went downstairs to throw the vomit away in the trash bin.
When she got up in the morning, Alice Conley didn’t look so good. When she arrived at the Studio, Mabel Quinn asked with concern, "Why do you look so bad, are you alright? If you’re really not feeling well, you should take a day off to rest."
"I’m fine." Alice Conley shook her head and said, "But this afternoon, I’m planning to go over to the Howards Group."
"Does Mr. Guan have so docunts for you to deliver again?" Mabel Quinn asked, puzzled.
"No, I just want to see Dorian, I have so things I want to say to him."
Mabel Quinn was surprised, "Aren’t you and him already..."
"Yes, but it’s different now. Maybe I can be with him now, I..." Her lips curled into a smile, yet it couldn’t conceal the anxiety, "In any case, I’ll et him this afternoon and then we’ll see."
If Alice and Dorian could be together, Mabel Quinn was all for it. "Alright then, good luck, I wish you all the best!" she said.
"Thank you!" Alice Conley replied.
In the afternoon, Alice Conley arrived at Howards Group, and the front desk staff greeted her warmly as usual, even asking if she was feeling better.
"Previously, when you were trapped in the elevator, Director Howards was extrely worried, I heard that as soon as he heard sothing happened to you, he ran from the president’s office to the ergency exit without even taking the elevator, and when you were rescued from the elevator, he carried you to the Hospital himself, refusing to entrust you to anyone else. When Alice Conley stepped into the elevator again and pressed the button for the floor of the president’s office, the anxiety in her heart grew deeper. The scenes from the past flashed through her mind one by one, and the last scene was of her alone, trapped in the dark elevator, and in her mind, there was the image of him smiling at her.
At that mont, it seed as though all the fears could fade away, as if he was the source of her courage.
