“You can ignore ,” he said, a bit petulantly.
Ann Nolan’s hand paused, she glanced at him, “Ignore you? If sothing happens to you, wouldn’t I be held criminally responsible? Mr. Santos, don’t you have a lot of friends? What’s the matter, nobody to take care of you when you’re sick?”
“You are my wife…”
He felt very innocent.
Ann choked, unable to swallow or spit out her words.
“I would take care of you if you were sick,” Zaiden Santos added.
Ann was even more choked up.
In this respect, Zaiden Santos hadn’t lied.
After marrying him, when she fell ill, he would go through the motions, feeding her dicine, bringing her tea and water.
Sotis, if her cold was too severe, he would even take a day off to stay ho.

In her eyes, there was a calm shimr, like the water of a lake at night, without a ripple.

“Not interested.”
“Why don’t you tell how you’ve been lately.”

Zaiden Santos found himself at a loss for conversation.
The streetlights were a soft yellow, gentle and tranquil, making the night even more alluring.
But the evening wind was still chilly.
At the community entrance, Ann hailed a taxi, taking Zaiden Santos to the hospital.
During the day, she had not noticed his health being so poor; it had only been half a day, and he had let himself beco like this.
Ann really wanted to leave him at the hospital.
She was curious, wasn’t Harper Glorian coming to take care of him? Or did Harper not know he had returned to Landon?
In the past, if Harper fell in the middle of the night, he would rush to her side imdiately.
Now he was sick, and Harper was nowhere to be seen?

Ann knew Harper Glorian well; she was a woman who clung to the powerful, aimless in her studies at university, focusing all her energy on her attire.
