Sylvan Cheney stroked her hair, the doting tenderness in his eyes as gentle as willow branches in March, brushing away the chill of winter.
“Spring is here. When the flowers bloom a little more, I’ll take you out for a walk.” Sylvan held her close. “And when sumr cos, I’ll take you to see fireflies, hmm?”
He knew she loved watching fireflies.
In her childhood, the environnt was pristine. Every sumr night she would open the window, and outside, fireflies danced—bright and sparkling like stars in the sky.

Jasmine didn’t let go, and Sylvan didn’t let go either.

Sylvan ruffled her hair, wrapped an arm around her waist, and walked toward the elevator. His expression was cold yet dignified.
Outside, the sunlight was dazzling, and the long, soft willow branches swayed gracefully in the spring breeze—unlike Landon’s barren winter landscape, the city’s early spring view now held patches of tender green.
