The carriage finally ca to a halt and Eliza begins to lead the way once again. I follow behind her with the others, taking in the sight of the busy streets before us.
People are definitely making it a bit harder to navigate our way around here but that’s not a big deal. Eliza won’t really have a problem... Or I guess it would be better to say I don’t think she will.
The stands around here are all very unique with lots of different things at each one. I see an armor stand with various types of armor, one with a bunch of sweets, and another one with potion like bottles.
"There’s a tavern that we need to find. It is called the flaming arrow." Eliza says loud enough for us all to hear.
I’ve never really been to a festival before so this is definitely different from any experience that I’ve ever had. Seeing all the different stands is pretty cool.
I can’t really focus on it though since we need to find this tavern that Eliza ntioned. ’The flaming Arrow.’ I’m sure it won’t be that hard to find with a na like that on one of these buildings.
I can feel both my hands get grabbed as I look down to notice Velia has one of them and Aria has the other. Guess they really don’t want to get lost around here.
The blind girl should probably have one of my hands in this situation but I’m not complaining.
"I think I see the tavern you are talking about. It is to the right through this crowd." Velia speaks up.
Looking to the right I could see the giant sign that was literally an arrow on fire. That was definitely the tavern we are looking for.
"I’m glad you found it. Saves us a lot of ti." Eliza responds with a grateful tone.
"I feel the sa about that. Endless searching is not fun." I chi in as we begin to make our way through the crowd.
It doesn’t take very long to push through the crowd and after that I can finally see the front door to the tavern. A bit of a nice silver polished door with no windows on the walls around it.
Guess they don’t like people looking in or out of the tavern. I do enjoy my privacy anyway so it doesn’t bother much.
I push the door open without any hesitation, but inside is a bunch of slayers... I could recognize them imdiately as I looked around the room.
All different variations of armor with so swords at their sides. Each of them seem to be with a small group as well so this was definitely going to be a very cautious visit.
"Do you know what we are looking for or who we are looking for?" I question while keeping an eye on everyone in the room.
"Not yet. I’m sure the person we need is here, I’m just not entirely sure I know where they are. Everything will be fine though." Eliza responds without any hesitation in her voice.
She’s definitely got the confidence to find who we are looking for which is a good sign but I’m not sure what to expect here. Everyone here seems to be watching us closely.
It doesn’t surprise since we are technically outsiders here which would make anyone suspicious. I get looks like that when I go into random guild halls in my own world.
Everyone is cautious when it cos to new people since you never know when soone is a threat. It says a lot about the way we all live in these worlds.
But out of everyone in the room I could see one person who stood out amongst the rest. A feminine figure standing at the counter with all black robes on, but just barely I could see long purple hair extending out from the hood.
The last ti I saw a woman like that.... It was in the last floor of the tower. Lust was there and she told that she’d be watching closely.
She was curious to see if I really could beco strong enough to fight against any of the Monarch’s. If she’s here I don’t really know what to expect at this point since I’m definitely not there yet.
At least I don’t think I’m there just yet.
"At the bar I think I see soone who could be helpful to us." I say quietly to the group.
"I trust you Rokuro. Let’s go talk with them." Eliza replies with a genuine tone.
The girls silently agree with her response as we all begin to make our way over to the counter. I kind of take the lead on this one since this isn’t the first ti that I’ve talked with Lust.
But the mont I hit the counter I could tell imdiately that it really was her. The aura around her started to show a lot more than it did monts ago.
She twirls a coin around her fingers as she looks towards . "It feels like I haven’t seen you in awhile." Lust says with a smile across her face.
Ba-dum. Ba-dum. I could feel my heart starting to race all of a sudden. I’m not sure I understand why it is racing like this when it isn’t the first ti that we’ve talked.
"What are you doing here Lust?" I ask while ignoring her previous comnt.
Her eyes linger towards the other girls with for a mont before falling back onto . "I’d say it is my curiosity once again. You are very serious about what you want to accomplish so I want to see for myself." Lust answers with a soft tone in her voice.
"Did you think I was just making it up or sothing?" I question with a bit of confusion in my voice.
"Not in the slightest but a girl can be surprised you know." She answers as she extends her hand out towards mine.
The mont her hand touches mine I can feel everything around disappear as if it was never here in the first place. Instead of darkness I found myself back within the ruins of the old tower.
"What the hell is this Lust?" I ask with a bit of frustration.
"Don’t stress about it. I just feel more comfortable talking in a setting I’m familiar with. You have friends with you too. It can be a little scary for a girl like ." Lust teases as she continues to play with the coin.
"Don’t bullshit . Can they see this too?" I question.
"Nope. Only you and can see the new background around us right now. But I do have to say you are quite the brave one for approaching a monarch." Lust responds with a bit of shock in her voice.
"I figured you might be able to help... But I think that’s dumb of to expect." I say while keeping a calm, yet serious tone.
Being frustrated here won’t help anything so it is better to just go along with everything peacefully. I doubt she’ll be able to help with anything that we need.
She’s the enemy at the end of the day... Her helping is the last thing I could expect.
"I take it you are looking for the Lord who could connect you to the king behind the darkness in the realm of Ashline." Lust responds without missing a beat.
"T-That is exactly what I’m looking for." I say with a bit of shock in my voice.
"I never ntioned anything. The Lord hides within the old blacksmith shop. A rusted shield hangs above the shop with two short swords crossing each other. Oops. Did I say sothing important?" She responds before everything reverts back to normal.
I could see the tavern once again as Lust continue to look at with a smile on her face.
She just gave so of the most useful information I’m going to get. We know exactly where to find this Lord now which saves us a hell of a lot of ti.
How do you know she didn’t give you a location of an ambush?
I don’t think Lust would do that since she genuinely seems curious about what I can accomplish too. She’d kill herself if she really wanted dead since she’s more than capable of doing so.
Her power is definitely still way above mine in a lot of different ways.
"Anyway, it was nice seeing you Rokuro." Lust says before standing up.
Before she walks away I can feel a warm feeling on my cheek as her lips quickly kiss . "Take that as a parting gift cutie." She says with a smile.
"R-R-Rokuro who was that?" Aria asks with a bit of panic in her voice.
Sounds like that might’ve made her a bit jealous which wasn’t sothing I expected in the slightest.
"A friend who just gave us the location of the person we’re looking for." I answer with an honest and genuine tone.
Ti to find this Lord.
