Seeing as he was barely hurt from any of our attacks so far... I’d say I also need to step up as much as possible. I felt the power build up even more than before, channeling both of them together.
I wasn’t going to lose a fight like this.
The air around felt like it was a little suffocating all of a sudden, almost like the pressure itself got stronger. Crumble! Crack!! The ground underneath my feet broke even more before I lunge towards the Lord.
POW!! As my right hand connects with his chest I can see a shockwave effect go past him, breaking pieces of the wall behind him.
He still doesn’t seem too phased by the attack and looks down at my fist. "It really is quite the sight, seeing a dragon like this I an. We haven’t had a dragon in the demon realms in ages." He says with so excitent in his voice.
Grip. I could feel his hand grabbing onto my arm and slowly begining to squeeze.
It still doesn’t seem like you are strong enough to do damage. We might have to fall back.
I can’t just fallback after finding this damn guy. I know it is possible to beat him if we just work together. The girls here are strong as well so I know we can do it.
Without wasting another second I swing my left fist towards him. Whiff! I just barely notice him dodge the attack as the wind blows past his face.
Ba-dum. Ba-dum. Ba-dum. My heart is absolutely racing from the pure amount of adrenaline I’m feeling. A fight like this hasn’t happened in quite so ti.
Seems either I’ll end up dead here or I’ll just barely manage to co out alive.
There is no in-between.
I manage to get my right hand free from his grip and imdiately swing it back towards his gut. I could feel everything surging into my fist as it finally connects with him.
BURST!!!! A huge wave of fire and dark red energy go through his stomach, coming directly from my hand.
I just barely notice him wince as he steps back a few ters. "That was a bit of a surprise. I didn’t expect such a powerful attack to co from you." The Lord says with so shock in his voice.
The red begins to swallow up my vision as I start to feel the bloodlust kicking into full swing. The urge to kill was all I needed to win a fight against soone like him.
I don’t even respond to him as I rush forward, swinging my fists at him. Each swing felt like a blur, the speed must’ve increased with the surge of combined power.
POW!!! Wam!!!! Each punch felt heavier, like I was swinging the worlds heaviest sledgehamr towards him. But each ti it connects I can see the sa burst of fire and dark red.
Crack!! Rumble!!! Rumble!!!!!! The walls begin to fall apart behind him as he continues to endure the punches. Each ti he tries to throw one I’ve managed to dodge it or counter.
The Variseth family taught quite a bit in terms of combat which I’m grateful for.
Fighting is sothing I’ve done so much of lately that it is like second nature to . This isn’t sothing I will lose easily.
Thud!
Suddenly I found myself standing before him as he is backed against a wall. "Will you speak of the Kings location or not?" I ask with a serious tone in my voice.
The damage was finally showing on his body from everything I was doing but he didn’t seem like he was done.
"A fight this intense... No, I won’t tell you a thing. We are just getting started dragon." The Lord responds with a mischievous smile.
"Alr—" Imdiately I’m cut off as I feel my ribs crack. CRACK!!!
I felt as if I lost my breath as I went up into the air and before I knew it, he kicked across the room. CRASH!!! The wall felt like shit before I hit the floor.
"Rokuro!!!" Aria shouts from across the room.
An unexpected attack? No, he definitely planned it out as I was beating the shit out of him. He knew I’d ask him about the king again which is why he waited.
It was the perfect opportunity for him.
Splat! Blood falls onto the floor as I stare at the stone tiles before . I can heal from this damage but it’ll definitely take a few.
BOOM!! A small explosion suddenly went off in front of as white light engulfs the Lord standing ahead. This light was quite familiar in a sense.
Looking towards the left side of the room I can see Aria holding her sword up with the light coming directly from it. She is quite strong like her brother, so maybe she’ll be able to help finish this guy off.
How are you holding up?
Obviously it hurts like hell but I’ve been through worse. Broken ribs just don’t feel pleasant in the slightest.
Do you think you’ll be able to help with the fight still?
It is definitely still possible as long as I can stand up. That might take a bit of effort if I’m being completely honest here.
Stomp! Stomp! The sounds of the Lord moving are all I can hear as the light continues to burn him.
Grunt. "Gahh." I let out in pain as I finally force myself to stand back up.
Ti to assist once again.
Whoosh! I rush forward and reel back my right fist once again before swinging it towards the demon with as much power as possible.
This ti around I went for the face and didn’t fail to hit it. My fist went right across, sending him across the room into the wall that was about to collapse.
Crumble!! Crumble!!!!! The wall completely begins to fall apart on top of the Lord as I feel my legs start to give out.
Aria definitely packed a punch with that light of hers. I don’t really know what it does but it helped a lot more than I expected.
Does she have the power to nullify as well? That would make her even more powerful than I originally thought if that’s the case.
Nullification is probably one of the deadliest things out there, a power capable of stopping soone like as well. I wonder if it would work on a monarch or if that would just be a waste of ti.
That is actually a really good question since Monarch’s did used to be a lot like you. Maybe you need to learn how to use sothing like it or we’ll have to bring soone who can use it.
Bringing anyone I care about to that final battle might be the worse possible thing for to do though. I don’t want any of them to die to the monarch of chaos.
Thud! I didn’t realize it but I fell onto the floor as I was talking with Rika. Everything around was distorted and mixed with so red.
I guess the attack was a lot stronger than I originally thought.
Looking ahead though... I could see that the Lord we fought wasn’t really moving anymore so maybe that was it. He didn’t give any information we needed and now he appears to be dead.
"Rokuro!!" Aria and Velia shout as they run.
Their footsteps get closer and closer till finally I can feel one of them touching . I wasn’t too focused on them right now since our enemy wasn’t confird to be dead.
Not moving doesn’t an dead. That bastard could be playing dead while I’m out of the battle.
"I’ll help with your wounds." Eliza says as she kneels next to .
I didn’t even realize she ca with them because her footsteps were completely muffled or did she hide them? It doesn’t matter since she seems to be doing sothing.
A yellowish light begins to emit from her hands as the pain in my ribs slowly begins to disappear. "Healing magic is quite rare but you are lucky enough to have with you." Eliza says softly as she continues to use the magic.
My vision finally begins to return to normal as I look up towards Eliza and the others. The pain was completely gone after a few more monts.
"Healing magic is quite strong. But we need to check on the Lord." I say while sitting up.
"I agree. He is the whole reason we are here." Eliza replies while standing back up.
The light disappears from her hands as she turns to face the direction of the Lord.
"I’m just glad you are okay." Aria speaks up with relief in her voice.
"I agree with her." Velia chis in.
I look towards them both and pat them on the head. "I’m not going anywhere so don’t worry about it. I’ll always get back up." I say while giving a small smile to them.
