Li Nuanzi was simply speechless. She watched the people pulling their children inside the cave and turned to look away. She walked around the tribe, trying to joke around and at the sa ti trying to ask simple questions that would help her understand the situation of this tribe better. But even though the elders and the people of the tribe were divided most of the ti, they knew that they could not foolishly let others in on their secrets.
Thus, even though Li Nuanzi tried her best to get the answers to her questions, the tribe mbers remained vague, not giving her a single chance to get what she wanted.
Seeing this, Li Nuanzi was furious, but at the sa ti, she knew that she couldn’t make anyone talk if they didn’t want to. Pursing her lips, she could only return to the cave where Shao Xia was living at the mont. Around noon, Chief Xie called Li Nuanzi and the others to have lunch. Though she wanted to ignore the people from the Mighty Eagle Tribe, she knew that she couldn’t do that unless she wanted to cause a war between the two tribes.
Anyway, as long as they didn’t step on her bottom line, she was not going to ignore them. Since they were their guests at the mont, she could only give them a warm welco and ignore her personal feelings.
With Chief Xie taking care of everything, the processing team brought in the fresh at that they had processed and placed the freshly cut pieces in front of the people from the Mighty Eagle Tribe. If not for the things that Shao Xia had told them, these feasts would be really good, but Li Nuanzi had long heard about the good things that the tribe cooked at the square and couldn’t help but frown.
She turned to look at Shao Xia, who understood what the woman was trying to convey to her silently. Shao Xia gritted her teeth; she was really angry when she thought about how the chief was determined to make her look like a liar. She sucked in a breath and tried to calm herself before saying, "Chief, are you really going to serve these things to our guests? I thought that you would be a bit more genuine when serving them."
Chief Xie’s jaw got locked when she heard Shao Xia’s remark, while Ruan Chanchan, who was sitting calmly next to Xie Daiyu, chuckled inwardly. She knew that this woman was going to cause a stir; after all, she had gone through so much trouble to invite these people to the tribe; there was no way she was going to leave this matter alone so easily.
"Then what do you want? Do you want us to risk our lives and hunt down a high-level beast?" Chief Xie asked while pretending not to understand what Shao Xia was trying to say.
Li Nuanzi knew that she wouldn’t be able to get anything if she didn’t step in. With a smile on her lips, she began, "It’s nothing like that, Chief Xie. Just now we were talking, and Shao Xia told about the good things that you can make with the help of fire. She also told that you have long stopped consuming uncooked at...I was wondering if you could let us have a taste of it?"
Only the big bear tribe had a holy fla, and as for the rest of the tribes, they could only wait for the beast goddess to bless them. This was one of the reasons why the black snake tribe attacked the big bear tribe. They wanted to grab the blessed holy fla, but the big bear tribe was also stubborn; they would rather fight till death than give up on the holy fla. They even abandoned their tribe’s land to secure the holy fla.
Of course, the chaos was so big that the beast council had to intervene, and ever since then, no one dared to attack the big bear tribe. Of course, no punishnt was handed out either.
Thus, even though the tribes wanted to take the holy fla from the big bear tribe, they could only swallow their desires.
Because of this very reason, Li Nuanzi was very curious about how the big bear tribe was using the fire.
When Chief Xie heard her request, she gritted her teeth so hard that she nearly cracked them. She knew that the tribe’s people wouldn’t dare to betray the tribe, but at the sa ti, she knew that Shao Xia would never keep her mouth shut. Look, she was right!
"Of course, how could I forget that Shao Xia must have already told you everything?" Chief Xie turned and glared at the woman. She wanted to hurl the big piece of at in front of her at Shao Xia, but she still held on to the one single strand of rationality which told her that she couldn’t —that she shouldn’t do anything that would cause her to look like a bully.
She could only arrange for the cooking team to co and start cooking. Of course, the cooking team was very resistant.
Shao Xia had often bullied them in the past, and these skills were what they learnt from Ruan Chanchan. Shao Xia had no right to share them with soone. This was really shaless of her!
Shao Xia could naturally notice the dissatisfaction of the people with her, but she didn’t show any signs of guilt on her face. Since she had chosen this path, she had no other choice but to accept it. Even if it ant being treated as soone who had committed a cri!
Xie Daiyu looked at her shaless attitude and clenched his fist; even soone as controlled and calm as he wanted to hurl a punch at the face of this ungrateful woman.
"Why are you so angry?" Ruan Chanchan took a bite of the moon nut that she had brought with her. She glanced at Xie Daiyu and turned to look at Shao Xia before adding, "There is no need to look at our tribe’s benefactor like that."
