"What the hell?" Yang Ze almost jumped up in fright, but managed to hold back. He hurriedly turned around, his eyes afraid that he would attract the attention of such a man.
He then kept on looking at the cultivators near him for a while, but what baffled him most was that amongst the pitifully low number of n roaming here, the majority of them had this description of ’loving young boys like you’.
Just the sight of it all made his scalp tingle as he decided not to even look at the n’s talent anymore. Not to ntion all of them had trash white talents, even their description were almost all the sa.
"Is it because of this world?" In this world where n were lower than won and were treated worse than dogs, it was no wonder that the majority of n would feel this way.
He didn’t find them disgusting or questionable. He could understand them and even had sympathy for them... Well, as long as they stayed away from him and minded their own business.
After all, Yang Ze knew just how devastating his appearance was. Although not a single man had seen it besides himself, he didn’t want to test it out. Especially now that he had seen such descriptions of the majority of n cultivators.
He even lowered his head, afraid of getting into their sights, completely forgetting that right now, because of the mask, he had the appearance of the middl-aged man. Other than receiving a few weird gazes that were definitely due to his height, he didn’t feel anything unusual.
"So..." Looking around with an excited face, Yang Ze couldn’t help but ask. "Where are we going?"
Now that they were inside the market, the first thing Yang Ze wanted to do was to roam around and explore it. Thinking about the various stories he had read and how often the characters would stumble upon opportunities while roaming the market, he couldn’t help but take deep breaths. What if he, too, got lucky and ca across sothing extraordinary?
The mont this thought ca to his mind, it was hard for him to suppress it.
He looked at Lin ilin beside him with a questioning gaze, wondering if she was even going to answer him or not.
Fortunately for him, Lin ilin rely thought for a while before answering.
"I still have a few things to do." She looked at Yang Ze’s excited face before speaking further.
"How about you go and explore the market while I finish my business?"
"The two of us will et in the third shop on Fifth Street in an hour."
She paused for a mont before adding further.
"Just look for the shop that has a large pill cauldron on top of it."
Yang Ze imdiately nodded in response before jumping off the carriage and rushing to the nearest stall.
"This brat..." Lin ilin rely looked at his departing back before shaking her head. She had almost forgotten that he was still just a boy who had just stepped into adulthood. It was normal for him to be curious about the world around him.
Taking one last look at his departing back, she just headed in the opposite direction with the carriage. She wasn’t worried about Yang Ze running away or getting hard in this place.
Because of the rules of the Tianxu trade zone, no one could harm him. And in case he got scamd... well, that would teach him a valuable lesson.
As for him running away... Where could he run away to? With her strength, finding him was a piece of cake, no matter how hard he tried to hide. Especially now that she had his scent.
---------
"How much did you say?" Looking at the old, worn-out ring in his hand, Yang Ze asked again, this ti rubbing his ears, wondering if he heard it wrong.
"Two thousand gold coins." The woman didn’t even bat an eyelid as she gave him the price.
"....." Yang Ze just stood in silence as he looked at the middle-aged, rough-looking woman, then at the pile of things that she had scattered in front of her upon a large piece of cloth, onto the ground.
After jumping out of the carriage, this was the first place he rushed to, wanting to see if there was sothing special. The first thing that grabbed his attention was this old-looking ring that didn’t seem simple.
He was about to use his All-Seeing eyes to take a look at it, but who would have thought that the mont he picked it up, the middle-aged woman would quote such an exorbitant price.
Yang Ze didn’t say anything; he just activated his All-Seeing eyes and took a look at the ring in his hand.
[Old Ring: Useless thing.]
He first looked at the ring, then at the woman, before shaking his head with a smile and placing it down where he picked it up.
"Don’t you want to know where it ca from or why it is priced so high?" Looking at him placing the ring so discreetly, the woman imdiately panicked and asked him this question.
Usually, when people ca to inspect her items, she would quote an exaggerated amount to pique their interest. And when they ask her the reason, she would tell them grand tales of what the items were or where they ca from.
And then, she would ’reluctantly’ reduce her price so that the other party would feel like they got a deal.
Usually, only newbies would fall for this trick, but nevertheless, it was always profitable.
When she saw Yang Ze pick up the ring, she imdiately knew he was a newbie. An experienced person would never pick up any item, but instead rely point at it and inquire about it before making their next move.
But who would have thought that this newbie would imdiately drop the item after hearing the price?
"Did I scare him?" The woman was about to reduce her price when she saw the man looking around the remaining items before standing up and imdiately leaving the scene, as if afraid of having any more contact with her.
"Wai..." She wanted to shout to him to wait, but he had already disappeared amongst the crowd. In the end, the middle-aged woman could only grit her teeth and reduce the price for the next person.
"What a scam." Yang Ze, on the other hand, was cursing under his breath. Initially, he thought he would make a killing and take all the precious treasures for himself, but who would have thought that the very first item he picked would be trash? But that wasn’t all... every single item on the woman’s stall was trash. They rely looked good and precious, but in truth, they were all garbage.
"Well, at least this world is similar to Earth in scamming."
Thinking about how he sent money to a ’distant relative’ who was the prince of a certain nation and was about to hand him his inheritance, he almost shed tears of grief. He could still rember that crushing feeling when he lost his hard-earned money to that scam, thinking he would be rich and all his family’s problems would be solved.
"Hahahaha..." Yang Ze wasn’t annoyed or angry by it. Instead, he rely let out a hearty smile.
Earth was gone, and so was his family and he himself... But what remained were mories. So sad... so happy, but nevertheless extrely precious. Sothing that he would never trade for anything... not even for the system.
Back on Earth, whenever he thought about getting scamd, he would be filled with rage and anger, but here... Here, it was a fond mory. A proof of his life back on Earth. A proof that he once lived there... struggled there and cried there...
In that instant, Yang Ze’s mind was overwheld with all kinds of emotions, but mostly a sense of peace as mories of his life back on Earth once again filled his mind. But this ti, none of them were unpleasant.
He rembered helping out a grandma when no one even wanted to go close to her. He rembered giving his food to a holess man when he himself didn’t have much to eat. He rembered just sitting on his roof and looking at the Christmas lights, which all looked like stars.
Overwheld by these emotions and mories, Yang Ze’s lips slightly curved up in a smile as he began to wander around aimlessly. But this ti, he did it leisurely without any intention of looking for treasure.
He would just roam around while scanning the personal panels of people around him. Although he didn’t see any talent above green, there were a few talents that tempted him.
Usually, because of the won around him, it was hard for him to get in touch with many people.
Till now, he had yet to use his sign-in cheat effectively. Often he would waste the daily chance of sign-in because of being dragged around by the won around him and unable to see more people.
And now that he was in this place full of cultivators, he felt like a fish that had returned to water.
He could effectively use his cheat here without worrying about anything.
Hell, if not for the fact that Cang Yue was waiting for him in the Sword sect, he would have loved to spend his days in this place.
"A pity." Shaking his head, he cleared his mind of distracting thoughts before focusing back on the scene around him.
He would go from stall to stall to look for any potential treasure, but would always end up with nothing. Almost ninety-eight per cent of the so-called treasures were fake and worthless.
He thought about going to the wooden buildings to look for things, but in the end, decided to just check out the market first, et with Lin ilin and then take a look at these wooden buildings.
With this in mind, he began to roam around with a gentle smile on his face.
It wasn’t until almost an hour had passed that he ca back to his senses and made his way towards his destination.
"A pity." By now, Yang Ze knew exactly what type of place this Tianxu Trading Zone was.
Anyone could co and set up a stall here to sell things. But every transaction they make will be automatically recorded in their tokens. The token would only record the amount of money and nothing else. And every night at midnight, the person operating the stall would pay a ten percent fee to the Trading Zone.
It was one of the reasons why the trading zone turned a blind eye to such obvious scamrs running amok.
In simple words, it was your own fault if you got scamd.
Of course, not everyone here was selling garbage. The wooden buildings there sold authentic items and were strictly monitored. They were the true foundations of the Tianxu Trade Zone and the actual lifeblood. Every single one of those wooden buildings was controlled by the mighty sects.
When Yang Ze finally reached his destination, he didn’t see the figure of Lin ilin. instead what ca into his view was a dense row of shabby wooden buildings stretching from one end to another.
Even the crowd here was sowhat lacking, and only a handful of people would enter the buildings once in a while.
And amidst all these wooden buildings, Yang Ze finally found the wooden building he was looking for.
It was a small wooden building that looked old. On top of the building was a large cauldron hanging by chains that looked like it would drop anyti.
Yang Ze quietly observed the shop, but he never saw anyone entering or exiting.
"Strange." The Tianxu trading zone was such a prosperous place. He couldn’t understand why there would be such shabby buildings.
"Should I head in?" Yang Ze thought for a mont before deciding to just go in.
Since he was going to et Lin ilin here, might as well check out this building and see what was so special about it.
Making up his mind, Yang Ze entered the shop without any hesitation, and the first thing that ca into his view was the figure of a middle-aged woman with large breasts and a weathered face who was sitting there with her eyes closed.
"Hel..." Yang Ze was about to greet her when his footsteps suddenly paused, his eyes widened in disbelief, and his heart almost leapt out of his throat.
In front of him was the long-lost ssage that he had only seen two tis till now.
