DING!
The elevator doors parted, and Vera Wave waved at Isla Hawskin before stepping into the elevator.
"Good luck!"
Isla Hawskin waved her fist at her. Vera Wave tossed her back a V-sign and pressed the button for the 22nd floor.
As the elevator doors closed and started ascending, Vera Wave pulled out her spare resu from her backpack.
Soon, the elevator stopped at the 22nd floor.
Upon exiting the elevator, Vera Wave imdiately saw the map index outside the elevator door.
The Gaming company lived up to its na; even the map was made to resemble a parchnt map from a ga. Following the index, Vera Wave turned right towards the Design Departnt.
She had only taken a few steps before spotting the corridor filled with young people.
The few tree-stump-shaped seats were already occupied, and the rest were standing around in small groups, chatting.
Upon noticing a room with a sign that read "Temporary Interview Room," Vera Wave knocked on the door and entered.
Inside, several young staff mbers were seated, casually dressed.
Vera Wave explained her purpose, and one of the staff mbers took her resu to inspect it carefully.
"Miss Vera Wave, you might be mistaken. Our Design Departnt primarily requires software-related personnel at this ti. Are you familiar with this field?"
Vera Wave shook her head.
"I studied Craft Arts. I am here to apply for a position in Art Design."
"We’re sorry, but we do not currently have any openings for such positions." Noticing Vera Wave’s disappointnt, the staff mber gently pushed up his glasses and chuckled. "But don’t be disappointed. Our Publicity Departnt has also been recruiting recently; they’re in need of planning and design personnel. You can go over there and check if there are any positions suitable for you. It’s located on the 30th floor, on your right."
Hope rekindled, Vera Wave replied, "Thank you so much! I’ll head there now."
Taking her resu back from the staff mber, Vera Wave reentered the elevator.
「31st Floor.」
「CEO Office.」
Kris Cooper leaned languidly against his desk, glancing at the coffee brought to him by the Administrative Manager. The Administrative Manager, who had neat short hair, wore a respectful smile.
The Administrative Manager said, "Please wait a mont. I will imdiately notify all the senior staff in each departnt to co to the office for a eting."
Kris Cooper shrugged. "No need."
"No need?" Administrative Manager Taylor looked up in confusion. "What do you an?"
"I’ll go check it out myself."
What’s the point of only knowing the faces of the top managent when trying to understand a company?
Manager Taylor quickly smiled. "Shall I notify them then?"
Kris Cooper raised an eyebrow. "Have you ever heard of an emperor giving a heads-up to the officials below when he goes on an incognito visit?"
Manager Taylor laughed awkwardly. "That’s a point. Shall I accompany you then?"
Bringing her along would be just like announcing who I am, wouldn’t it?
"You’re not a eunuch; what would you follow for?" Kris Cooper got up. "I can go by myself. Just hand over your work to Tommy Taylor."
"Understood," Manager Taylor agreed quickly.
Taking his mobile phone from his suit pocket, Kris Cooper strode out of the CEO Office.
Instead of taking the elevator, he went straight down the ergency stairs to the 30th floor.
Just as he entered the hallway, he saw a familiar figure flash past him.
Vera? What’s she doing here?
Could it be... she knows who I am?!
Puzzled, Kris Cooper cautiously peeked out. Sure enough, he saw Vera Wave standing outside the Publicity Departnt, holding so docunts.
