Vera Wave asked for a hundred, clearly aning a kiss on the cheek, but he wasn’t satisfied with just that.
As she watched the man lean in, Vera didn’t shy away.

The dim streetlight cast a warm glow, making his amber eyes sparkle even more. As she looked into those eyes and felt his lips cover hers, a flash of light crossed her mind, followed by vivid images.

"Vera, you’re mine!"
A voice sounded in her ear, as if it had traveled from a distant place, sowhat ethereal and not entirely clear.
Her head throbbed with a sharp pain.
She instinctively drew back the hand resting on his shoulder and pressed it against her temple.
Kris Cooper gently held her shoulder with concern, "Vera, what’s wrong..."
"It’s nothing... I’m fine." She lifted her face, gazing at Kris Cooper before her, smiling sweetly, "Too many red envelopes fell and hit my head."
Finally close to him, she didn’t want her discomfort to dampen his spirits.
Kris Cooper was about to question further when she proactively wrapped her arms around his neck, puckering her lips that shone from his kiss.
"Another kiss, hubby!"
The little girl pouting for a kiss, how could he resist? Wrapping his arms around her waist, he kissed her eagerly.
Closing her eyes, Vera tried not to think too much, simply savoring the feel of his lips and tongue, responding to him clumsily and without a plan.

Reluctantly, Kris Cooper released the girl who was now limp from his kisses and raised his hand to smooth the hair he had tousled.
"Get so rest early, you need to be up early tomorrow!"
Though he wished he could imdiately bundle her into his car and take her away, reason told him that tonight she should stay and enjoy so family ti.
"Drive carefully,"
The girl’s voice was hoarse as she reminded him.
Nodding, Kris Cooper turned and got into the car, watching her walk through the gate, waving to him from the crack before he finally started the car and drove away.
Watching his car’s taillights disappear around the corner, Vera shut the door firmly and locked it, heading back to the backyard.
Sister Li had just helped Grandma Wave finish washing her feet. The elderly woman had just returned ho and was still quite excited, with no signs of sleepiness. Seeing Vera, she imdiately beckoned her over.

Vera walked over with a smile and sat beside her, the elderly woman reaching out to clasp her hand, observing her closely.
