"No kissing allowed!" She imdiately raised her small hand to cover her mouth. "I just finished applying my bitten-lip makeup!"
He reached out and snatched her wallet.
Opening it, he saw it was filled with cash and a few cards. There were no pictures inside.
Noticing his confusion, Vera Wave stretched out her hand, took out a hundred-dollar bill, and pointed at it.
"See? Handso, isn’t he!"
His gaze shifted from the portrait on the banknote she indicated to her mischievous little smile, and his eyes narrowed slightly.
Her lip color was subtly graduated, lighter on the outside and deeper on the inside. The overall effect was a pale pink that made her lips look particularly tender and alluring.
So, this was what they called bitten-lip makeup!
Arching his eyebrows, he lifted his hand to grab her wrist and leaned in to kiss her.
This audacious girl dared to tease him! If he didn’t teach her a lesson, wouldn’t she get completely out of hand?
DING!
The elevator doors opened, and Vera Wave imdiately pushed Kris Cooper away, gasping for breath.
"I told you, no kissing! And yet, you still kissed !"
"Isn’t it just bitten-lip makeup? I’ll help you apply it!" He held her small face, lightly bit her lip, and declared, "Kris Cooper’s exclusive bitten-lip makeup, one of a kind in the world!"
"Annoying!"
She laughed and pushed him away.
As she raised her head, she t a pair of jealous eyes.
Seeing Irene Spencer standing in the corridor, Vera Wave quickly linked her arm with Kris Cooper’s. With her other hand, she grabbed a tissue and began wiping his lips.
"Look at you... your mouth is all covered in lipstick. Anyone who didn’t know better would think you were wearing makeup!"
Flaunting their affection was, of course, most satisfying in front of the mistress!
Irene Spencer was already consud by jealousy. With Kris Cooper having blocked her view earlier, she hadn’t noticed Vera Wave’s outfit.
When she finally noticed Vera’s dress, Irene imdiately wanted to tear the younger girl to pieces.
For a woman, the most detestable thing was to see soone else in the sa outfit.And if that other person happened to look better in it, that was truly the most infuriating thing in the world.
Previously, Vera had bought a dress that Irene had coveted. Because of that, Irene had made a special shopping trip to Italy, and this current dress was one of her finds.
It was the perfect outfit for an occasion like tonight.
She had thought she could outshine Vera with her outfit tonight. Little did she expect such rotten luck—Vera was wearing the exact sa dress!
Irene was slightly taller than Vera and had a larger fra, giving her broader shoulders.
This type of off-the-shoulder dress was best suited for girls with slender fras and pretty collarbones. Since her own collarbones weren’t her best feature, she had deliberately worn an expensive gemstone necklace to draw attention away from them.
She had originally thought she looked beautiful, but unfortunately, comparisons are telling.
On her own, she certainly looked stunning. But when compared with Vera Wave, the difference was glaringly obvious.
Vera was slender and had a sweet appearance, with a petite fra. Her delicate shoulders and strikingly beautiful collarbones, combined with her charming temperant and the round-toed white leather shoes she wore, perfectly complented the dress. From head to toe, she had the aura of a little princess.
Compared to her, Irene seed rough around the edges.
The feeling was akin to a fake princess encountering a real one and being instantly forced to reveal her true, less polished form.
How could she possibly not be furious?
When Vera Wave noticed Irene Spencer’s outfit, she was also taken aback.
Damn it! Why did she have to wear the sa dress!
Vera was also slightly displeased, and she quickly glanced at Irene, trying to determine who wore the dress better.
"Let’s go!"
Kris Cooper put his arm around Vera’s waist. Without even glancing at Irene Spencer, he rely nodded to a staff mber who was chatting with her, then led Vera into the corridor.
