Kris Cooper led her to a nearby chair to sit down and gave Tommy Taylor a look, signaling him to take good care of Vera Wave. He then straightened up.
"Wait for a mont, I’ll be right back."
Turning around, he strode to the corner of the corridor. Once he was sure from a distance that Vera couldn’t hear him, Kris Cooper took out his phone and dialed Michael Freenan’s number.
"Captain Liu, how’s the situation?"
On the other end, Michael Freenan had already arrived at the scene.
"The scene is still being cleared, and Irene Spencer’s condition is still uncertain."
"And... Grandma Wave?"
"Captain, the car is ready." A police officer ran over.

A black rcedes-Benz drove through the hospital gates and stopped outside the ergency building. The car doors opened, and Bailey Hansen and Christopher Cooper jumped out from either side, urgently rushing into the ergency building.
They dashed upstairs, and Bailey Hansen, gasping for breath, turned into the corridor.
"Kris, Vera!"
"We’re here!"
Hearing the voice, the two people sitting outside the ICU ward imdiately stood up straight.

"Have you found Grandma Wave?" Christopher Cooper continued.
At the ntion of Grandma Wave, Vera’s expression imdiately turned somber, "There’s still no news."
"Don’t worry." Bailey Hansen pulled her into an embrace, "Trust your mom, nothing will happen to Grandma. We’ve already called your Aunt Lucille, she’ll do her utmost to help find Grandma for you. Don’t worry too much; your health is important. Otherwise, when Grandma is found, and you fall sick, how heartbroken would I be?"
