Lu Ke quickly reached the spot, but instead of imdiately picking the fishy-slling herbs, she first surveyed her surroundings.

Then, she used the Umbrella Tree Gun to tap around the fishy herb area for a while.

She was scaring the grass to alert any snake that might be lurking among the herbs.

Xu Yi watched all this attentively.

Seeing Lu Ke being so cautious and careful, he felt reassured and went back.

Upon returning, Xu Yi continued working on the toilet.

An hour later, Lu Ke returned.

"Xu Yi, I’m back." Xu Yi heard Lu Ke’s voice and imdiately put down what he was doing.

When she reached the gate, Lu Ke opened it and walked in.

"Look, my harvest is quite good, isn’t it?" Lu Ke took off her basket, which was full of enough fishy herbs to last several days.

"So much, impressive," Xu Yi praised.

"Maybe it’s because of the rain; there’s a vast patch of fishy herbs. I was worried you’d be concerned about , so I ca back early, otherwise I could have picked even more," Lu Ke said happily, heading to the table to pour herself a glass of water.

"This is more than enough; you can go again next ti." Xu Yi said, closing the gate.

"Yes, there are plenty of those herbs there; I can regularly pick so back. After all, just eating at without vegetables isn’t good." Lu Ke comnted, then sat down to rest a bit.

Xu Yi continued his work since he had only completed two sides of the toilet walls.

After resting for more than ten minutes, Lu Ke went over to help.

With Lu Ke joining in, the pace picked up significantly.

By around three o’clock in the afternoon, the walls of the toilet were all done, except for one door.

"Lu Ke, why don’t you make a door curtain out of the thatch; it might be more convenient," Xu Yi suggested to Lu Ke.

Lu Ke nodded and gave an OK gesture, "No problem, leave it to ."

Then, Xu Yi went out.

He needed to chop so suitable wood and fence off a corner for raising rabbits and so other animals.

There was so thatch left, so Lu Ke began making the curtain.

For Lu Ke, this task was relatively simple.

Xu Yi brought back several bundles of wood in succession and started marking the four corners, then buried the poles.

"Xu Yi, do you really need such a big area?" Lu Ke asked curiously, observing that Xu Yi had fenced off an area larger than 60 square ters.

After all, they only had a few rabbits.

Even if they hatched the chicks, such a large space wouldn’t be necessary.

Primarily, such a big place would take a lot of ti to set up.

"It seems big now, but there will be more animals in the future," Xu Yi smiled slightly at Lu Ke, as he had already planned to lay so traps, surely there wouldn’t be just a few rabbits then.

"Oh, so you’re planning to set traps?" Lu Ke thought, with a bow and arrow, it’s impossible to capture all the prey alive.

With traps, the chances are much higher.

Especially those snare traps that damage the animal’s legs, allowing them to be captured alive.

"Yes, I should have set them earlier, it’s been delayed for too long." Xu Yi said helplessly, mainly because it had rained so many days in a row. Otherwise, he would have set them up, and maybe even caught sothing by now.

Lu Ke nodded, considering today was already their 24th day on this planet, the ti sure passed.

She knew a bit about traps.

After all, she had read two books before coming here. Those books described several kinds of simple snare traps.

She believed that what she knew, Xu Yi certainly would too. After all, his grandfather was an old hunter, setting up traps surely wouldn’t be an issue.

Then, Xu Yi began fixing the crossbars.

"How many animals is Xu Yi planning to catch, such a big setup."

"You think this is big? I thought he was going to enclose the entire left side for farming. Whatever you’re raising, it needs space."

"Back ho, we raised 30 chickens, and our space was bigger than Xu Yi’s."

"I also think the space is small, Xu Yi could definitely enclose the left side. Planting things in this yard isn’t as useful as breeding, it feels like nothing grows."

"He should have gone out to lay traps earlier, it’s been 24 days, and he finally realized it!"

"Exactly, setting traps is easier than using a bow and arrow; other groups rely on traps."

"The success rate of traps isn’t that high; many groups set traps and didn’t catch an animal for over ten days."

"It sounds like other groups are living better than Xu Yi and Loli Ke; most of them are miserable."

"Although Xu Yi hasn’t set traps, they haven’t gone hungry, they have enough stored food for several more days."

"Indeed, there aren’t even 20 groups who’ve never been hungry. Xu Yi and the others are doing really well."

"What’s the comparison for? Anyway, I think Xu Yi and his group have a shot till the end. That’s what’s really important."

"Xu Yi’s camp might be the best, fully equipped, now they’ve even built a squat toilet."

"Such a crude squat toilet without pipes, it doesn’t lead to a septic tank, what’s the use?"

"I think Xu Yi must have a way to solve it."

"Why rush? Just watch and you’ll find out. Anyway, I’m increasingly optimistic about them."

When it cos to the toilet issue, Xu Yi had given it thought.

Using soap solution might improve lubrication, but without actual operation, its practicality is unknown.

Once they finish handling the septic tank tomorrow and install the squat toilet, the result will be clear.

After they finished securing all the wood, Xu Yi and Lu Ke stopped working and prepared for dinner.

Tonight’s dinner included a cold dish of fishy herbs; first, they boiled the herbs, then mixed them with so mutton fat and salt.

"Xu Yi, the cold fishy herbs taste amazing," Lu Ke took a bite, then quickly took another.

The last ti, the fishy herbs they ate didn’t have any oil at all.

"The taste is indeed excellent," Xu Yi agreed, nodding; the large bowl was enough for both of them.

"There are also many fungi growing, and they’ve all been dried. When can we cultivate new ones?" Fresh fungus can’t be eaten regularly because it contains ’porphyrin,’ causing photosensitive dermatitis upon exposure to sunlight if consud often.

Thus, the fungus had been dried and collected by Lu Ke during this period.
