Ariel Morris paused her hand that was applying the ointnt, her eyes slightly lowered, and nodded her head.
Arlo Seys’s expression and tone both darkened a bit, "Why didn’t you tell ?"

"Don’t you have my number? Why didn’t you explain in your ssage why you weren’t coming to tutoring?"
