This all traced back to their journey toward G-1.

Lance walked over and explained the previous incident.

Hamr was furious.

'That damned Mihawk!'

'Why didn't he cut a few more tis while he was at it?!'

'Now Kaido had co knocking at my door!'

'Damn it!'

"Forget it. There's no point dwelling on it now."

"They're already here. I can't exactly refuse the challenge, can I?"

Thinking this far, Hamr strode forward and stood by the shore, looking up into the sky.

"You're pirates! I, Hamr, am a Marine!"

"Beating you people is perfectly natural!"

Kaido burst into laughter as his massive dragon body circled overhead.

"If that's the case, then fight !"

The mont he heard Kaido wanted to fight, Hamr imdiately shouted:

"Kaido! I'm warning you, take a good look at who's behind !"

'You damned geezer Garp, you think you can just sit this one out?'

Sure enough, Hamr's words instantly caused the advancing Kaido to stop. Narrowing his eyes, he looked toward the rear.

And the mont he saw who was there, Kaido froze.

'Why was Garp here?!'

As soone who had participated in the God Valley incident, Kaido knew exactly how terrifying Garp was.

Although he had crossed hands with Garp again afterward, every single encounter ended with him getting beaten senseless.

Garp laughed loudly, making it crystal clear he had no intention of helping Hamr.

Hamr was instantly furious.

"Old bastard! He's a pirate and we're Marines!"

"And you still won't help ?!"

Garp casually picked his nose and answered calmly:

"You go fight first."

"If you can't win, this old man will help afterward."

Hamr was dumbfounded.

Kaido's eyes lit up.

"Wororororo! Hamr!"

"Looks like your backup isn't planning to save you!"

"Co then! Let witness the strength of the Marines' rising star!"

As he spoke, Kaido transford back into his human form and charged down from the sky wielding a gigantic spiked club.

This club was no ordinary weapon.

Its na was Hassaikai, Kaido's favored weapon.

"Thunder Bagua!"

Kaido opened with a killing move right from the start.

Facing the future attack that would one day educate Monkey D. Luffy, Hamr didn't dare show even the slightest carelessness.

"Tch. I don't want to beco Pirate King, so there's no need to give King's Haki PTSD!"

"Absolute Space!"

With the battle already upon him, Hamr naturally had no intention of retreating.

The Hamr-Hamr Fruit activated.

Absolute Space instantly transford the area around Hamr into a vacuum domain.

Hassaikai slamd down onto Hamr's head with incomparable destructive force.

But protected by Absolute Space, the attack never actually touched Hamr's body.

Even so, the overwhelming impact kicked up massive clouds of dust.

Kaido at this ti was still relatively young and full of curiosity.

But Hamr had no intention of explaining anything to him.

As he spoke, Hamr threw the long-absent Ice Azure Sword toward the ocean, then clenched his right fist and lowered into a stance.

Terrifying hamr force compressed rapidly within his fist.

The sight instantly made Kaido's eyes widen.

"That's Whitebeard's ability, you bastard! Impossible!"

Faced with Kaido's shock, Hamr imdiately sneered back:

His right fist smashed forward.

Terrifying vibration force slamd directly into Kaido's chest.

The over-six-ter-tall Kaido was blasted flying backward by the strike and sent hurtling toward the sea.

anwhile, because of the Ice Azure Sword's descent, the ocean surface had already frozen into an enormous field of ice.

Kaido's body crashed heavily onto the frozen surface.

"Hm? Where did this ice field co from?"

"You still have ti to look around?! I'm not done yet!"

"Chest Breaking Hamr, Tenfold Barrage!"

During the mont Kaido was distracted, Hamr had already repositioned himself.

From above, he unleashed ten consecutive strikes toward Kaido's head.

Ten Surface Break Hamrs coated in Armant Haki blasted toward Kaido all at once.

"Hmph! Don't underestimate !"

Kaido was still a powerful figure in his own right.

Facing the incoming attacks, he imdiately raised Hassaikai, coating it with Armant Haki to block Hamr's barrage.

"Your Hassaikai is made of tal, right?"

Suddenly, a strange glint flashed through Hamr's eyes as he asked a completely battle-irrelevant question.

Kaido was montarily stunned, but still answered:

"Of course."

"And it's an incredibly durable tal."

"Hehehehehe…"

Hamr suddenly stopped attacking and instead began laughing to himself.

His face was filled with mockery.

On the shore, Lance, Shirley, Hina, and the soldiers aboard the Warhamr all felt a chill crawl from the soles of their feet straight to their scalps upon hearing Hamr's laughter.

Lance's mouth twitched as he turned to Shirley.

"I have a feeling Kaido's about to suffer. What do you think…?"

Shirley said nothing.

She simply nodded heavily.

Hamr suddenly moved again.

This ti, he released no aura whatsoever.

He was simply faster.

More agile.

Kaido imdiately spread his Observation Haki, guarding against a sneak attack.

Then Hamr flashed directly in front of him and smashed a heavy punch onto Hassaikai.

DUANG!

Kaido instantly felt an intense vibration travel up through his hands.

'Why isn't he attacking ?'

'Why's he hitting my weapon instead?'

While still confused, Hamr continued unleashing punch after punch, every single one landing on Hassaikai.

This completely bewildered Kaido.

"Hey! What the hell are you doing?!"

Kaido violently swung Hassaikai, blasting Hamr backward before imdiately launching a long-range attack.

Terrifying air pressure erupted from Hassaikai and blasted toward Hamr.

"Soru!"

Hamr didn't dare take it head-on.

Using Soru, he dodged instantly, then charged right back toward Kaido, or rather, toward Hassaikai.

"I refuse to believe it!"

"Take this hamring!"

Within re monts, Hamr unleashed dozens of punches onto Hassaikai.

Finally, heaven rewarded perseverance.

That familiar voice appeared.
