"SO, THAT’S what happened," Kim Heedo said, wrapping up the story he shared with Park Sohee. "That’s why I decided to reveal our marriage."
In the end, Heedo decided to co clean to Park Sohee.
Yep, I told Hyung everything.
"I’m sorry, Hyung," Heedo said, embarrassed. "I saw the video and the pictures with my friends. I’ll tell my friends to apologize to you later."
"Nah, it’s fine. You didn’t have to apologize for it, but thank you."
"Is it really okay...?"
"Kim Heedo, did you forget when I said I’ve already thrown away my pride a long ti ago?" Park Sohee said casually. "The day I heard Ahn Yujae talk to his friends about his problem with and our relationship was the second most embarrassing mont of my life. The most embarrassing mont was when Cha Jinha, Ahn Yujae’s best friend, saw after I had been beaten up by the loan sharks. After I experienced those two humiliating monts, I stopped caring about what other people think of ."
I do rember, but...
Heedo was worried that Park Sohee was just putting on a strong façade.
Hyung’s expression remains the sa, though— he really looks like he doesn’t care.
"I’m actually more invested in your friends. Hong Sera, is it?" Park Sohee asked curiously. "She really got all that information in just one day?"
"Hong Sera’s family is arguably more powerful than our family," Heedo said. Ilsung Group and Daesung Group were two of the biggest conglorates in Korea, after all. "And they’re overprotective of Sera since she’s the youngest. So, their family basically made the university her little kingdom. But Hong Sera passed the entrance exam fair and square. That brat has her head in the clouds, but she’s smart. She was already fluent in four languages before we finished middle school."
"Kim Heedo, you’re also protective of your friend, huh?"
"Well, there are only a few people who could stand my personality, so..."
Park Sohee chuckled while shaking his head.
And Kim Heedo was relieved to see his hyung laugh.
I’m glad Hyung doesn’t mind that I found out about his past.
"So, did Hong Sera find out who posted that bad article about ?"
"Yes, Hyung. She already sent the files, and I scanned it on my way to your lecture hall earlier," Heedo explained. "According to Hong Sera’s team’s investigation, the culprit lives in the sa apartnt complex that you do, Hyung. That’s probably how he took those photos of you and Mr. Shin."
"So, it’s a male."
"You know him, Hyung."
Heedo and Park Sohee then spoke at the sa ti, saying the sa na.
"Cha Jinha."
"You knew all along, Hyung?" Heedo asked, shocked and curious. "Then why didn’t you report him? Or Hyung should have at least asked that person to take down the post."
"Can I be honest with you?"
"When was Hyung not honest with ?"
"Right," Park Sohee said, pausing for a mont. "I actually enjoy the drama, so I was hoping it would last a bit longer."
"Hyung, this is more than a drama," Heedo said, confused by how Park Sohee’s strange reaction. "That person is killing your social life."
"Do I have enough money to have at least one al today? How do I pay the rent? Should I look for an additional part-ti job? Where should I hide so that the loan sharks won’t find this ti? Why is my life so hard?"
"Hyung..."
"Those were the things I used to worry about every single day," Park Sohee, laughing softly. It was as if he was laughing at a distant mory. "So, when people started talking behind my back because of a bad rumor about , I felt blessed— blessed that all I need to worry about now is so drama. A drama that was started by an immature kid my age who’s lashing out at because he can’t confess his feelings to my ex-boyfriend."
Now that is drama.
Heedo realized that the culprit ’Cha Jinha’ was bullying Park Sohee because that person was in love with Park Sohee’s ex-boyfriend.
Hong Sera’s team didn’t investigate the reason why Cha Jinha posted that article.
"It’s like having a First World problem. I’m happy that all I have to deal with is a trivial matter because I don’t have more pressing issues to care about," Park Sohee said, clapping his hands. "And I feel like a main character in a college romance story. Most webcomics I’ve read in that genre usually have the main character deal with nasty rumors."
"Hyung really doesn’t care about the rumors, huh?"
"Even if my reputation hits rock bottom, I still have a fat bank account. I’ll survive even without a social life since my future is already secured. I just need to be careful about using my money," Park Sohee said nonchalantly, shrugging. "Anyways, I’m only attending university for the vibes. So, don’t worry about . A couple of harsh words won’t hurt when I’ve already experienced so of the worst things a person shouldn’t go through."
To be honest, Heedo wouldn’t say that he could relate.
After all, I was raised to be mindful of how other people perceive .
In a way, Park Sohee was amazing.
If a rumor like that spread about , and people start insulting for sothing that isn’t even true, I would go batshit crazy.
But this hyung was enjoying the "drama."
It actually made sense, though.
Compared to being almost sexually assaulted by an Alpha, being in the center of a nasty rumor is probably just child’s play to Hyung.
"Hyung, you’re amazing."
"I know, thank you."
Heedo smiled bitterly. "I wish I have the sa ntal fortitude as you."
"What’s wrong, Kim Heedo?" Park Sohee asked worriedly. "I’ll listen to you anyti."
Hmm.
It’s not like I can say I want a divorce after revealing our marriage to the public.
