The tears I had been holding back escaped from my eyes. I placed both palms on my face and shook my head.

Inside Caden and Chase’s room.
{Caden and Chase are sharing a room. The room was really spacious and had two beds and was painted white and blue. Both Caden and Chase’s beds were placed in the center of the room and were many inches away from each other. Starting from Caden’s bedside to the edge of the room, his side had many books that were neatly arranged on the shelves. Caden’s pov
I was sitting on the sofa with my elbows on my laps. My hands joined together as I leaned forward and rested my chin on my joined hands. I was still trying to understand what my mother had said to Chase and I.
To be honest, I never expected my mother’s story to be like that. I thought that she would say sothing like; "I never told you guys about your father because your father was a drunk stranger that sohow broke into my house and had his way with ".
I sincerely thought she would say sothing like this too; "I left the pack I grew up in and never told you and your brother the na of the pack because soone was hunting and I didn’t want any of you to ever return to the pack".
But the predictions in my mind were overshadowed in no ti after I heard the actual story of what happened.
I had never expected my mother to have a twin sister who is the Luna of the shadows’ pack. I an, I never expected my mother to have a twin sister who was once the Luna of the shadows’ pack.
I never expected my father to be the now late Alpha of the shadows’ pack. I never expected to suddenly have an older sister.
How could my mother do such a thing to her own sister? How could she do such a thing to her only sister?
I am clearly aware that if she had not done what she had done, Chase and I would never have existed. But still, what she did was very wrong. I can’t even imagine it.
What pained the most was that I could never see my father again. Today is the worst day of my life.
The door to the room opened.
The footsteps of the person got closer to , and I could already sense that it was Chase.
He ca and sat down beside on the sofa I was sitting on.
"Brother". He called .
I stopped resting my chin on my hands and leaned backwards, resting my back on the sofa.
"Brother". I said to him while looking up at the white ceiling.
"Our mother was wrong to do that". Chase admitted.
"I know". I replied to him and sighed, before the room beca silent.
It took more than a minute before Chase tapped my shoulder and said to , "I can’t believe that we can never et our father again. That sucks. Today was definitely the worst day of my life. I can assure you that".
"I know". This was my reply to him, before he copied what I did and rested his back on the sofa.
"You know, when I was using my cell phone, I saw news stating that Alpha Anastasia had co to our city with President Michael. Before she returns to the shadows’ pack, shouldn’t we pay her a visit and introduce ourselves to her?". Chase asked and I hit his forehead.
"Are you a fool, Chase? We should introduce ourselves to her and expect her to accept us just like that? Do you think she would be happy to see us if we suddenly showed up in front of her and told her that we have the sa father as her? Grow up, Chase".
Chase hissed. "Then does that an we would never be allowed to return to our true ho, the shadows’ pack? But we did nothing wrong to deserve that. But thinking about it, it wasn’t us who were banished from our pack. It was our mother".
"You are right. We did nothing wrong, Chase".

Beta Damien’s pov
I had left the graveyard hours ago, and ever since then, I have been tracking Alpha Anastasia.
I knew that she was in the city, so I wanted to stay by her side before we returned to our pack.
It didn’t take longer than expected, and I finally found her. She was staying in a five-star hotel.
I t with the director of the hotel, and after proving my identity to him, I was directed to Alpha Anastasia’s hotel room.
I arrived on the 15th floor of the hotel room, and seeing the number on one of the rooms, I proceeded and knocked on the door. I was certain that the room belonged to Alpha Anastasia because I could sense her presence.
But it was weird, because her scent was weak.
After knocking multiple tis, the door remained unopened.
"Why isn’t she coming to open the door?". I muttered, before I knocked once more.
The instant I knocked on the door again, I heard a loud thud inside the room. "Alpha Anastasia!". Without thinking, I yelled her na, surprising myself.
I had almost broken down the door when the door opened on its own. I didn’t see anyone opening it.
I was taken aback, but despite that, I entered the room.
As soon as I entered the room and closed the door, I looked around the room and saw that most of the curtains of the room had been ripped off.
The shock didn’t end there.
I saw two unfamiliar faces sitting on the sofa and staring at . A young lady and a young man. And their bodies were covered using curtains. "What the?". I muttered.
