’Who are these people? They are not werewolves. So they must be humans’. I thought to myself.
Ignoring the young lady and the young man, I rushed in the direction of Alpha Anastasia’s faint scent. Her safety was my first priority.
I know that she was strong, but that does not an she could never get hurt.
Arriving inside the room, I halted while staring at the bed.
Alpha Anastasia was asleep on the bed. While lying on the sofa was Anders.
I know him.
It would be a sha and an embarrassnt to my dignity if I didn’t have any idea of the people around my Alpha.
"Is she okay? Why is her scent faint even though I am standing close to her?". I said, before I went and placed my hand on her forehead.
"Could she be sick?". I muttered, but her temperature wasn’t hot, and staring closely at her, I could see that she was sound asleep.
I didn’t know what happened to her, but I was certain that she wasn’t in a critical condition, making return to the living room.
To my greatest surprise, I couldn’t see the young lady and young man again.
The only thing I saw were Alpha Anastasia’s cats.
"Did they run away?". I asked myself this question, even after knowing fully well that I didn’t hear the room’s exit door open.

Elder Penelope’s pov
"Always make sure you keep your eyes and ears open, warriors. The enemies might attack at any ti". I said to the warriors.
I was standing in front of them. There were 497 of them.
Their numbers are very poor. The only reason why we have been able to hold on until this very mont is because ten of our warriors have the strength of twenty warriors.
"Understood, elder Penelope!". They replied to . Their voices reached up in the sky like thunder.
Seeing that they could manage on their own, I turned away from them.
My waist-length hair swayed gracefully.
I was wearing trousers and a top, combined with armor. Everything I was wearing was befitting of a warrior. I am aware that if those savages attack, I will fight them in my wolf form.
But, in any case where my wolf form gets injured and weak, I will have no other choice but to return to my human form and fight them in my human form.
I shifted into my wolf form and turned to the warriors who stood still and hadn’t moved an inch from the place where they stood.
"You three, go up to the watch tower and make sure you observe the border’s surroundings". I said to the three warriors who were standing among other warriors in the front row.
They obeyed and instantly left the remaining warriors and went up to the watchtower.
After they went to the watchtower, I dashed off in the direction that led to outside the border.
The shadows’ pack border has many trees surrounding it, making this a blessing in disguise for us and also a punishnt in disguise for us.
If wild beasts or the hybrid creatures succeed in getting into the border, the trees would be a hindrance to and the warriors during the battle. If we are not careful, so of the wild beasts and the hybrid creatures might even pass through our border and aim for our shadows’ pack city next.
After I stepped out of the shadows’ pack border and arrived at the barren land that was outside the shadows’ pack, I continued to run.
I was heading to the tent I had made for myself. I made sure to build the tent in front of the wild forest that was the closest to the shadows’ pack border.
Upon running for like ten minutes and having gotten close to my tent, I halted imdiately as I spotted sothing from afar.
Wild beasts and hybrid creatures were pouring out of the forest like rain from the dark sky.
There were so many, and I couldn’t count their exact number as they didn’t give the opportunity to and were running in my direction after they saw . They were growling with their mouths open, revealing their sharp and long deadly teeth and fangs.
Although I couldn’t tell how many they were, I was able to see that there were a total of fifteen wild beasts and probably hybrid creatures too, that had wings and were flying.
"For my werewolves!". I declared and began to charge towards them.
Each of my jumps carried so much power that I felt the ground beneath move.
Crazy, right?
I am about to fight against these savages on my own.
I know that I would not be able to defeat them all. But, I should at least kill as many as I can before they make their way to our border and confront the warriors.
I wasn’t in any way afraid of my life. I died the day I heard of my little brother’s death. Besides, I know that I would not easily die.
I am currently ranked overall first among all the strongest werewolves in the entire werewolf packs for a reason.
No one has been able to match my raw strength. Why do you think I willingly chose to stay in the front line and defend my pack from these savages?
That was because I knew that they would not be able to kill easily.
Before they would ever be able to kill , I would have taken down a hundred of them first!

King Nikolai’s pov,
I arrived in the human cities. I haven’t been here in ages. She was the only reason why I am here in the diamond-heart city. The sa city that refused to do business with my pack.
I shouldn’t bla them.
Just like the rest of the werewolves’ packs, they turned their backs against my pack. I had been thinking. Gabriel and the six oldest werewolves of my pack are going to object to if I bring in my mate to our Vengeful Moon pack.
Regardless of that, I will still bring her into my pack.
She is the only one who has managed to capture my heart and make my heart beat.
She is the only one who has made smile most of the ti I thought about her.
No matter what, I had made up my mind to claim her as mine and imprint my mark on her.
I hid my scent and had to remove the mask on my face, as the mask was going to bring unnecessary attention.
My hair was ssy, but that isn’t important to right now.
What was important to was that I needed to find her. Alpha Anastasia.
Previously, I could easily perceive her scent even though she was far away from .
But it seed that it wasn’t working out for today.
Or is it because the human cities are very large and well-populated with countless humans and so werewolves?
I stopped walking and began to imagine.
Since she ca to the human cities together with the president, she ought to be in his mansion, right?
"Woah! He’s so handso!!!". A lady (human) scread and began to take pictures of .
This scene reminded of the mont when I took a picture of Alpha Anastasia.
That was how madly in love my heart beat for her.
It hadn’t been up to five seconds and the remaining ladies who were standing at a corner also began to get close to and started to take several pictures of .
It was as if the first lady’s action encouraged them to take action.
"Could he be a supermodel?!".
"I think so. But from which industry is he from?!".
"Yeah, from what industry?! I have never seen him before!".
"I wish I could steal him away and keep him for myself!".
"You are so handso, young Mister!".
"Where do you live?! Are you single?! Do you have a girlfriend?!".
"Please say sothing. Your voice must be cool too!".
Their voices were so loud that they sounded like an alarm. To make it worse, I had high hearing ears.
And to make it worse again, they held each other’s hands and were jumping and squealing while staring at .
’Humans are troubleso. Especially the ladies! Have they never seen a handso guy before? Well, I shouldn’t bla them. We look irresistible, Nikolai’.
’You are not helping, Nolan’. I mind - linked him.
Not wanting to hear anything more from the ladies, I ran away from them, not expecting that they would run after .
I have confird it. Humans are crazier than us Lycans and werewolves!
