Seeing her confused expression, Noah Drexler couldn’t help but frown.
"Weren’t you asking to shower together?" There’s only one bathroom in the bedroom, wasn’t that what she ant?
Though he’s never been soone driven by lust or indulgence, since she ntioned it, he’d be willing to accompany her. However, he was concerned about the situation getting out of hand.
That’s why he hesitated for so long earlier, especially since her leg was injured and she shouldn’t soak in hot water for too long.
As Noah Drexler finished speaking, Sumr Shawcross was completely taken aback.
When had she ever said she wanted to shower with him?
How did he manage to twist her normal words into such an absurd aning?
Thinking this, her face turned bright red, she looked at him speechlessly, then helplessly explained to him.
"I ant for you to use the guest bathroom."
Saying that, she pursed her lips and started pushing him out of the bathroom, then shut the door, locking it before turning towards the bathtub to start her bath.
...
After a long while, with her bath finished and hair dried, Sumr Shawcross walked out of the bathroom in a bathrobe.
On the sofa, the man who had already showered was also wearing a bathrobe, sitting there browsing through emails just sent by his assistant, frowning intensely.
The emails contained a list of endorsents Sumr had taken on in the past few days.
He was sowhat surprised by her recent surge in popularity. He didn’t want her to venture into showbiz, especially since he hadn’t seen her taking singing too seriously these past couple of years, so he hadn’t helped with her career at all.
Unexpectedly, she managed to revive what seed to be a hopeless popularity on her own rits, securing several endorsents in a short amount of ti.
However, as he examined the content of her recently signed endorsents, his frown deepened.
Brands with a sexy image, a popular online ga, and a feminine hygiene product endorsent.
He took a deep breath, his face looking a bit displeased.
Is her agent useless? Only capable of getting her these types of endorsents?
"What’s wrong, are you still busy working so late?" Sumr Shawcross asked with a puzzled tone, seeing his serious expression as she approached the sofa.
Seeing her arrive, Noah Drexler impassively typed a line on the screen, sent the email, then tossed the phone on the coffee table.
"Co here!" He glanced at her standing by the sofa and suddenly spoke.
Sumr Shawcross sat down beside him, and Noah Drexler leaned forward, lifting her legs to place them on his knees.
She was montarily stunned, then she noticed an open first aid kit on the coffee table.
"It’s just a few scratches, they don’t even hurt. There’s no need for all this trouble," she said nonchalantly. "It’s late, you have work tomorrow, and I have a shoot. We should rest early."
As she spoke, she instinctively tried to pull her legs back, but the man held her ankle, preventing her from moving.
Following that, his stern voice rang out.
"If it starts to hurt, it’ll be too late!"
Sumr Shawcross was taken aback.
Noah Drexler picked up a cotton swab, dipped it in antiseptic, and started applying it to the scratches on her leg.
His actions were clumsy; it was clear he’d never done such a thing before. Yet, his usually stern face was now filled with seriousness.
