Seeing that he finally responded, a faint smile appeared on Sumr Shawcross’s face, so she continued to ask.
"Don’t work tonight, go ho early and rest, you need to get so good sleep now."
The virus in his body had just been cleaned out. Although he had antibodies and wouldn’t get infected again, he had been tornted day and night recently. Now, he needed to rest and take good care of his body.
...
In the office on the other side.
Noah Drexler sat in the chair, listening to the concerned voice of the woman on the phone, his previously dark expression finally gradually improving.
"Okay." He pursed his thin lips and agreed, then leaned back in the chair.
On his handso face, there was a bit more expression of pleasure and enjoynt.
He never used to think that being cared for was such a joyful thing.
"Oh, and also, it looks like Narsus City will be getting cooler and rainy over the next few days, be careful not to catch a cold." Sumr Shawcross’s voice ca again.
The man’s dark eyes were full of joy, and he curved his thin lips to respond again.
"Hmm."
...
In the hotel room, as Sumr Shawcross listened to the man’s soft voice on the phone, she couldn’t help but feel a bit puzzled.
He seed to be in a good mood?
Just as she was staring at the phone in a daze, the man’s voice suddenly ca through the phone.
"That’s it?"
"What..." She was taken aback and subconsciously asked in confusion.
What do you an, that’s it?
"Sumr Shawcross, is that all you want to say to ?" The man lowered his voice, questioning her.
Didn’t she have anything else she wanted to say to him?
As his voice echoed, Sumr Shawcross finally understood what he ant and pursed her lips speechlessly.
Didn’t he always say she was talkative? How co now he thinks she doesn’t say enough?
Thinking this, she sighed and simply put the phone on speaker, ready to chat with him for a while.
But after all, she had just left Narsus, and indeed didn’t have much to say to him.
At that mont, Sumr Shawcross’s gaze happened to fall on the box on the table, and then she continued to speak to him.
"Noah Drexler, I just ran into a really cute little boy when I returned to the hotel, and he gave a gift."
Saying this, she walked to the table, reached out, and picked up the box.
"Do you like children?" The man’s deep voice carried a hint of curiosity.
Baffled by his question, Sumr Shawcross paused for a mont, then curiously responded.
"Of course, don’t you like them?" As long as they weren’t troubleso kids, most children are very adorable. She does like them.
"I don’t like them, they’re a bother." The man said quietly, honestly.
Silence followed the voice from the phone, and Sumr Shawcross paused for a mont, speechless.
She wasn’t really surprised by his words because long ago, she felt that Noah Drexler appeared to be a man without feelings, as if nothing in this world interested him or delighted him...
But the truth proved her wrong.
He wasn’t without feelings; it’s just that... he never showed them, so ordinary people couldn’t see through him.
"Actually, so children are very well-behaved and not that botherso." She quietly explained to him.
But the man did not respond to her.
At this point, Sumr Shawcross, who had been staring curiously at the box in her hand for a long ti, couldn’t help but extend her hand to open the tightly covered box.
"Ah!" The next second, she suddenly threw the item in her hand aside, screaming in shock!
