Chapter 301
BLUB—! BLUB—! BLUB—!
Ray could be seen struggling against the currents of the sea with all his might as the tentacles dragged him deeper into the water.
From the edges of his perception, he could feel the girls being separated and pulled farther from him with each fleeting mont.
Looking down below at the purple limb yanking him down with terrifying speed, he gritted his teeth as he felt his consciousness turning blurry.
Looking up, he couldn’t see the surface of the sea anymore.
It seed like they had been hauled imnsely deep into the water.
Dread filled Ray’s heart.
If they were being pulled deeper and deeper, he feared that they would et the owner of this appendage.
He wasn’t ready to et the master of this damned tentacle yet.
He needed to escape these bindings as soon as possible.
[Holy Blast Orb Activated]
A bright light appeared around his hands, and soon, he thrust it towards the tentacle holding him back with all his might.
A low explosion that made the sea churn detonated inside the water as the orb crashed into the limb gripping his leg.
He could feel the muscle twist and whirl as if it was in pain, but it still refused to let go of his limb no matter what.
Gritting his teeth, Ray sent another orb flying towards the appendage, and this ti, it did sothing.
A small hole burst into the flesh as the orb smashed into the exact sa spot he had sent the previous one.
Black ink sprayed from the wound as a chilling, annoyed growl bellowed from deep beneath the sea in pain.
All hair on Ray’s body rose up imdiately on hearing the loud growl.
The tentacle finally slid from his leg.
’Elyon, switch now!’
Ray darted from the chair, allowing the celestial to take control of the body.
The mont he did, the celestial was ready to swim away, only for four more tentacles to shoot towards his body with blazing speed.
«Damn! Elyon, faster!» Ray shouted with full panic in his voice as the celestial began swimming upward with all the speed left in his body.
Unfortunately, the appendages were closing in with rapid velocity.
’Wait, the others!’ Elyon shouted inwardly as he turned and twisted his head around, trying to search for the girls.
«Are you mad?! Why the fuck will you be thinking about others now? Fucking swim already!» Ray shouted angrily.
’But they are your friends.’
«We are about to die, you damned celestial.»
Even though they were arguing, this didn’t stop the celestial from still swimming with all his might.
Unfortunately, the tentacles caught up.
Turning around, the celestial held out his hands as two orbs of light appeared in his grasp.
Unhesitatingly, he shot them forward, and the orbs crashed into the limbs with a loud explosion that made the sea bubble and spin.
Before he could even think of shooting out another orb, two tentacles shot forward and imdiately wrapped around Elyon’s hands, spreading them far apart from each other.
No matter how much or how hard he struggled, he was unable to break free from the clutches of the grip.
«Shit! Shit! Shit! This is bad.»
As if that wasn’t enough, another tentacle wrapped around his waist, and then, as if he was suddenly catapulted, Elyon shot forward, deeper into the water with lightning speed.
He wasn’t even able to think properly as he shot downward—dragged deeper than he should have been.
«No, No, No... this is death.»
Ray worriedly panicked as he was watching the screen in the mindspace.
Though he was still unable to see anything, he could feel sothing incredibly enormous hidden in the direction of where they were being dragged to.
The silhouette he was feeling was incredibly nacing, chillingly powerful, and humongous.
It didn’t take more than a second to realize that the shape was the owner of the tentacles, and they were fast approaching it.
This situation was totally to their disadvantage.
There was no way they were going to be able to fight whatever that was in the water—in its damn domain.
Elyon cannot fight.
He wasn’t built for combat, and even if he was, Ray didn’t have any celestial combat skills at his disposal.
But the only thing he could do, was that he could swim.
Ray couldn’t swim, but could try to fight, yet they didn’t have that opportunity as most of his abilities demanded he was on solid ground.
There was no way he would be able to fight in the water.
anwhile, the tentacles’ owner could definitely fight in the water and see clearly, whereas Ray couldn’t.
Bruce!
As he spun around to look at the werewolf, the mutt just shook his head with a frown on his face.
«I’m not going out. Take care of the situation how else you see fit. I don’t care.»
Ray clenched his jaws in anger as he felt like punching Bruce hard in the face.
But now wasn’t the ti for that, as they were now incredibly close to the massive silhouette he was feeling.
Just a few seconds more.
’Hang on.’ Ray thought as he stretched his perception thin, and now, he could also feel two more silhouettes being dragged towards the shape he was feeling.
’Trisha and Chloe.’
There was no ti to worry about their condition as they had now reached their destination.
Turning towards the screen, he could now see what was the cause of the destruction of their boat.
And on seeing this, his heart pounded loudly in dread.
’This-This...’
The shape responsible for their predicant was a gargantuan purple fleshy head with a single eye on its head.
A wide mouth filled with rows and rows of teeth, with the depth of the mouth stretching as far as the eye could see like a wormhole of so sort.
And from its underbelly, hundreds and hundreds of tentacles could be seen swirling around it as the singular, red eye was fixed on the trio pinned by the tentacles.
