"Is Fuguki telling the truth?"
"Did Lord Mizukage really do all that shit?"
"If it's true… that's terrifying."
Yagura kept pulling the Ninja World Big Events Weekly out of his pouch as he marched. He read it again and again, jaw clenched so tight it hurt.
His hatred for Fuguki Suikazan was already bottomless.
But right now his hatred for Rasa had shot to an entirely new level.
"Rasa!"
"I already told you—that was Elder Genshi acting on his own! It had nothing to do with !"
"You're really going to push it this far?"
"You deliberately printed Fuguki's words so the whole ninja world would see? You want a fight to the death?"
"You're not scared at all?"
Rasa wasn't scared.
He had multiple S-rank jutsu, fifteen percent Ōtsutsuki bloodline, and he could keep stacking it higher.
Yagura? Just another diocre Mizukage who'd never accomplished shit.
Rasa still didn't know Yagura had beco the Six-Tails jinchuriki. Even if he did, he wouldn't give a damn. Obito had turned the Three-Tails jinchuriki into a puppet once. The Six-Tails version wouldn't be any harder. Plus the Mist was already a fucking ss—Fuguki and Jinpachi alone could keep them busy for years.
"Captain Fuguki, bad news!"
"The Hidden Mist is here! Yagura's leading them himself!"
Fuguki shot to his feet.
"What?!"
In the interview he'd talked shit about Yagura like the guy was nothing. But Fuguki knew the truth—Yagura was strong. Especially that Water Mirror Technique. If he couldn't win straight up, he just copied you and turned the fight into a chakra war. Annoying as hell.
Still, Fuguki wasn't afraid.
"This fight was always coming."
"Let everyone see who the real heart of the Hidden Mist is!"
Fuguki led the Shark Skin crew to the shoreline.
Across from them stood Yagura and his elite Mist forces.
Yagura's voice bood across the water.
"Fuguki Suikazan betrayed the Hidden Mist! He secretly colluded with Sunagakure and caused the deaths of countless ninja! He brought massive damage to the village! I sentence him to death!"
"All Hidden Mist shinobi—capture Fuguki Suikazan! Kill him on sight!"
The battle exploded instantly.
Fuguki roared back.
"Yagura, you little shit! You frad us! You threw the whole village into chaos just to satisfy your own greed! You're the real traitor! Today I'm going to kill you!"
"I swear on the na of the Seven Ninja Swordsn—if I return to the Hidden Mist, I will lead it back to the top!"
"Only the Seven can restore the Hidden Mist's glory!"
Yagura almost laughed out loud. Still talking about the Seven? Five of the seven swords are sitting in Sunagakure right now, you dumb fuck. Bring those back first before you run your mouth.
He opened with Water Mirror Technique.
A perfect copy of Fuguki appeared and imdiately clashed with the real one.
While the two fought, Yagura slipped around behind Fuguki.
A completely different chakra—dark red, burning, nothing like normal ninja chakra—erupted from Yagura's body. It wrapped around him like a cloak.
Boom!
In a flash Yagura was right behind Fuguki.
"Hiruko!"
One palm slamd into Fuguki's back with terrifying force.
Fuguki's face twisted in shock. He spun Sahada around, but the searing pain in his spine ruined his timing. The Water Mirror clone saw the opening and dove in.
Fuguki's expression turned ugly as hell.
"What the fuck is this? This isn't Yagura's jutsu!"
"This is Tailed Beast chakra!"
"When the hell did Yagura beco a jinchuriki?!"
Completely blindsided, Fuguki panicked. He found a gap and dove straight into the ocean, swimming down as fast as he could, desperate to escape.
He'd already lost this fight.
Even with Sahada, the clone was wielding a perfect copy. And now Yagura had the Six-Tails' power on top of everything else. Fuguki couldn't see any way to win.
"Shit!"
"How the hell did this happen?"
"Wasn't the Six-Tails jinchuriki Elder Haruna's disciple? Why the fuck is it Yagura now?!"
Yagura watched Fuguki flee with cold eyes.
"Run? You think it's that easy?"
"I'm killing you today. No fucking way I let you live."
"Every action has a price."
With Fuguki's defeat, the entire Shark Skin group collapsed. Without their leader, none of them had the guts to stand and fight. They scattered like rats as Yagura's forces cut them down.
The Mist shinobi were cheering, already chasing down the survivors to finish them off, when a large ship appeared on the horizon at high speed. A bright red flag flew from the mast.
"Exploding Blade Navigation Group!"
"It's the Exploding Blade group!"
"We're saved!"
...
Sunagakure.
Rasa looked at the points on his system panel and felt a small surge of satisfaction.
Ebizo's rumor team had already given him around 1,500 points. Rasa didn't want to burn the One-Person Ambition Inflation Card yet, so he'd tried the character interview instead—publishing Fuguki's full interview in the Weekly. Next issue would be Jinpachi.
He hadn't expected the interview to hit this hard.
Just Fuguki's interview alone had dumped nearly another 1,500 points straight into his account.
The counter now sat comfortably above 3,000.
He could do a full pity draw.
"No point waiting."
"Thirty consecutive draws."
"Start!"
An invisible wheel began to spin.
