"Hashirama Cell Research Notes?"
Rasa's interest spiked.
Almost everything in the ninja world revolved around Ōtsutsuki bloodlines. Hashirama cells sat at a very high level within that bloodline.
Danzo and Obito Uchiha had both used them to beco stronger. Uchiha Madara needed them to awaken the Rinnegan.
Rasa had zero interest in transplanting Hashirama cells himself. He didn't want so random face suddenly growing out of his body.
But Orochimaru's research notes were still extrely valuable in his eyes.
Rasa didn't want the cells, but plenty of Sand ninja would jump at the chance to get stronger. So of them would do anything for power.
More importantly, Rasa suspected he could pull sothing useful from the notes for himself—maybe even a way to increase his own Ōtsutsuki bloodline purity.
One rumor capped out at 10,000 points. Ten thousand points ant one hundred draws. One hundred draws guaranteed a big pity reward: another 5% Ōtsutsuki bloodline.
Twenty big pities and Rasa would hit 100%.
He could grind out twenty rumors the honest way.
But if he could stack other thods to speed things up, he sure as hell wasn't going to say no.
"Getting the Ōtsutsuki bloodline to 100% faster only helps. No downside."
Rasa focused. The notes appeared in his hands.
He opened them.
A few minutes later his expression turned strange.
"These notes… aren't right."
"This isn't the version Orochimaru has right now. This is the version from the Fourth Great Ninja War."
"Way more research. Way more data. Way more valuable."
"But the problem is, I need soone who can actually study these notes for ."
Scientific talent was always in short supply in the ninja world. Chiyo counted as one, but this wasn't her specialty.
Rasa suddenly thought of soone.
A spy Danzo had sent to infiltrate Sunagakure—Yakushi Kabuto.
Orochimaru had plenty of subordinates, but nobody had inherited his research as completely as Kabuto. Edo Tensei, body modification, cell transplantation… all of it.
Obito Uchiha had been able to launch the Fourth War largely because of his partnership with Kabuto.
Kabuto had real talent for this kind of work.
"If I want Kabuto to study these notes, I first need his loyalty."
"Otherwise handing him this research only hurts Sunagakure."
"And the thing Kabuto cares about most… is Yakushi Nono."
Rasa recalled the original tiline.
Yakushi Nono had taken Kabuto in when she ran the Leaf Orphanage. Even as a forr Root operative, she still had warmth and light. She beca the bright spot in Kabuto's childhood.
Because of that, Kabuto valued her more than anything.
But Danzo wanted tighter control.
He secretly swapped Kabuto's photo so Nono wouldn't recognize him. Then he arranged for the two of them to kill each other.
One night later, Yakushi Nono was dead.
And Kabuto lost the only emotional anchor he had. The pain cut deep.
"Kabuto's loyalty can be secured through Yakushi Nono."
Two days later a ssenger rushed into the Kazekage Tower.
"Lord Kazekage."
"This just ca from the Land of Water."
Rasa took the scroll and opened it.
"Lord Mizukage led a large Mist force in a surprise attack on the Shark Skin Navigation Group. They crushed them in almost no ti. Fuguki Suikazan fled in disgrace."
"Jinpachi Munashi brought the Exploding Blade group in ti to save him, but even they lost to the Mist army."
"Both navigation groups retreated in chaos."
Rasa wasn't surprised.
Navigation groups were navigation groups. Ninja villages were ninja villages. They weren't the sa thing.
No navigation group right now could go head-to-head with one of the Five Great Villages. The Mist might be weakened, but it was still one of the big five.
Navigation groups relied on speed and flexibility.
The Shark Skin group had clearly been caught completely off guard.
"Still, this won't destroy the navigation groups."
"They'll keep existing as long as there's profit in it."
"But Yagura's little stunt definitely hurt the impact of Fuguki's interview. Jinpachi's interview next week is probably going to land softer too."
"Fewer points for ."
Rasa focused. A card appeared in his hand.
The One-Person Ambition Inflation Card.
"Use."
Six nas floated above the card.
All of them Hidden Mist ninja.
"Taketori Den, Fuguki Suikazan, Jinpachi Munashi, Hozuki Yugyo, Ringo Raiga, Nakata sothing."
Rasa raised an eyebrow.
"Rogue ninja count too?"
He scanned the six nas. Three were rogues.
One was from the Hozuki clan.
He didn't recognize Ringo Raiga or the last guy, but the na Ringo rang a bell—Ringo Rainyuri, supposedly more talented than Black Lightning but dead young because of a weak body.
"The Hozuki clan is already in decline. Even with inflated ambition they won't cause much trouble. Limited help for ."
"The Shark Skin and Exploding Blade groups just got their asses kicked by the Mist. They're not going to pull off anything big anyti soon."
"As for Taketori Den…"
"The Taketori clan's ambition is already huge. What happens if it gets even bigger?"
Rasa's gut leaned toward Taketori Den.
The clan was strong and currently allied with the Uchiha. If Taketori Den's ambition swelled to a new level, what kind of chaos would he create?
And one thing was certain—his target would almost certainly be the Hidden Mist.
Rasa didn't hesitate.
"Target: Taketori Den."
The card turned into a streak of light and vanished.
