Central Governnt.

"Andersen, although we don't currently have any mandatory duties requiring your presence, your absence this ti has been far too long."

A high-ranking military officer patted the man in front of him on the shoulder, his gaze carrying clear appreciation along with a hint of complaint.

"Since you're back, I won't ask too much. My advice is still the sa: accept the injection as soon as possible, and move into the Ark ahead of ti. Your talent shouldn't be wasted on covering the retreat of those refugees. Get ready–tonight you'll co with . We need to quickly organize large-scale civilian migration arrangents. It will be busy for a long ti. I need you."

The Ark was already a complete underground city capable of habitation. When Andersen learned of its existence, its construction and interior finishing were already nearing completion–so fast it struck him as unbelievable.

He even wondered if construction of the Ark had already begun before he was even born.

But he didn't ask. Unlike the commanders, as a military high-ranking officer he had long beco polished and knew exactly what words would please his superior.

He was not fighting alone. The idealistic actions could be left to Charon. As for him, he would act as Charon's support, climbing step by step through this disgusting bureaucratic system until he reached a position where he could influence decisions.

For that purpose, he could do anything. Saying a few pleasant words to appease his current patron was no problem at all.

"Of course, thank you for your kindness, sir. However, if I leave, who will protect you from those who cannot enter the Ark and start to go insane?"

"We have many soldiers who can replace that role."

"Sir, you know it–those young ones can't handle it. Besides… the Goddess Squad is still here."

These words made the old man fall silent.

"I will stay above ground and ensure all the… things that can't be seen are handled properly. When I go down, I will bring the combat data of the Goddess Squad, along with an absolutely obedient elite unit, into the Ark."

"Good!" The old man's eyes were full of satisfaction toward this younger officer. "Humanity needs soldiers like you. I'll be waiting for you in the Ark. When you co down, I will host a banquet for you. Don't find it too simple."

"Of course. Your taste is sothing I've always trusted."

Anderson escorted his superior away. The man would enter the Ark earlier through a secret passage, and this simultaneously marked the imminent start of the "Ark Guardian" operation.

The submissive expression on Andersen's face vanished instantly, replaced by deep exhaustion.

"You must survive… you bastard."

...

The Other Shore Base.

At this mont, the simulation room had already been shut down. Although until the very end, the Goddess Squad never managed to kill the simulated Liliweiss even once, if the goal was survival, they had already beco highly proficient.

"This result is already very good." Liliweiss was not surprised. After all, no matter how refined tactics and teamwork were, nurical differences were real. At present, the Goddess Squad's raw stats were still insufficient.

Since Andersen had already left, the discussion now consisted of Charon, Liliweiss, and Rose, who constantly monitored all public areas.

[I'll be joining too later. I'll show it so color.] Rose said confidently. This was not arrogance–because she truly could.

Within the domain of code and intelligent chanical constructs, she represented pure dinsional suppression, especially with the Shittim Chest as a red-tier dium, granting her a near "chanical divine intervention" capability.

However, exactly how effective she would be remained uncertain.

At that mont, the door opened.

"Liliweiss, Commander."

The visitor was Dorothy. Her expression was serious, but her eyes carried determination.

"The official order has been issued. Three days later, the 'Ark Guardian' operation will officially begin. Five waves of personnel and supply transfers will be completed within one month, and we will be the final group to enter during the fifth wave."

Liliweiss looked at Dorothy and suddenly smiled.

"Do you think it will go that smoothly?"

"Of course not, Liliweiss." Dorothy walked gracefully up to her, her lips curling into a cold smile. "Although I don't know which attempt will be the final one, they will absolutely not carry out five full migration waves."

"Third ti," Charon suddenly said. "The Wings of Victory ship–wasn't it announced to be used in the third migration?"

The Wings of Victory was an important transport vessel ensuring the Goddess Squad's battlefield mobility. Losing it would significantly reduce their operational speed and bring no benefit to the mission.

This was almost an open signal: either the Goddess Squad had already lost the qualification to enter the Ark, or there was a lower probability scenario in which they would be allowed in after the third migration.

"Not necessary."

"Not necessary indeed."

Dorothy and Liliweiss answered almost simultaneously, then both smiled.

They would fight until the very last mont. At the very least, they would not allow the na "Goddess" to be disgraced.

This had nothing to do with whether the governnt abandoned them. The governnt did not represent all humanity–they protected humanity itself.

"By the way, Lilith, how much of your strength have you recovered now?" Charon asked.

"Hard to say, but my combat ability has already returned."

During this ti, thanks to coordination between the Rapunzel and 06, the nutritional als they prepared had rapidly restored her physical condition. Although she no longer needed a wheelchair, she had not yet chosen to stand fully upright, so as not to make the others overly dependent on her.

"The base needs upgrades. I need a lot of materials… preferably high-tier Rapture cores," Charon said seriously. "If we can expand the base after upgrading, we might be able to accept part of the refugee population."

Upon hearing this, both Liliweiss and Dorothy froze.

[Interesting, but we need to see the post-upgrade expansion capacity first. Otherwise it's all uncertain.] Rose comnted again. [Also, you're right–I'm getting tired of this industrial style. Can we expand it into sothing more interesting next ti?]

"High-tier Rapture cores…?" Liliweiss nodded. "If this is what you need, leave it to ."

Although she might not be able to support the front lines directly, Liliweiss still had the ability to contribute to the Other Shore Base.
