Irene Morton walked into the store holding onto Asher Land’s arm.
The staff welcod them respectfully, but upon seeing who it was, they were instantly overwheld with astonishnt.
"Mr. Land..." The staff unwittingly displayed an extra level of enthusiasm.
Irene pointed to the silver evening gown, and the staff quickly brought the dress over.
Irene went to the fitting room to try on clothes, while Asher Land sat on the sofa, legs crossed, lazily tapping his long fingers on the sofa, waiting casually for Irene to co out.
A few female staff mbers secretly gathered in the corner, whispering among themselves.
"Who is that woman? Why is Mr. Land out shopping with her?" The staff were clearly puzzled; it was widely known that Asher Land and Sophie Smith had just held a wedding recently, so why would he be out shopping with a beautiful woman now?
"Could it be..." One woman covered her mouth, thought for a mont, and hesitantly spoke, "They haven’t been married long... Is he already cheating?"
"Ah!" Clearly, the other staff mbers were shocked by her words, and instantly they all cast their curious gazes at the distinguished man sitting on the sofa...
After a long while, Irene finally finished trying on clothes. She erged from the fitting room gracefully, with a radiant yet innocent smile, like a child eagerly seeking praise.
"Very beautiful." Not disappointing her, Asher Land spoke in praise.
The nearby staff also began to flatter, one of them carefully observing Asher Land’s expression, noticing a trace of fondness in his eyes towards the woman before him.
Thus, the staff tentatively comnted, "This dress, Mr. Land, is absolutely perfect for your girlfriend, and..."
Girlfriend?
Asher Land cast a sharp, murderous gaze over, the young female staff didn’t stand a chance against such a glare, quickly lowering her head.
Irene seed to have sensed sothing, her smile gradually fading.
He really resented being associated with her in that way. If it were before, Irene would definitely cling to his arm, insistently claiming, ’I am his girlfriend’, but now...
She just ran back to the fitting room, changed out of the dress, and handed it to the staff.
"I don’t want it anymore," she said in a sowhat muffled voice.
"What now?" Asher Land found he couldn’t quite read Irene, her mood swings felt a bit like his own.
"It’s nothing." Irene stepped forward and walked straight towards the door, leaving Asher Land standing there, with the staff awkwardly holding the dress, looking at Asher Land.
"Pay for it." Asher naturally knew Irene’s personality; she might say she didn’t want it now, but in a few minutes, she might change her mind.
The staff carefully folded the dress, packed it, and handed the bag to Asher Land. Asher took the bag and was about to head out; after walking a few steps towards the entrance, he suddenly seed to rember sothing, turned around.
"If the fact that I ca shopping with her today gets out tomorrow, I’ll be the first to find you all, understand?" His tone was casual, leaving the staff frozen.
Leaving the staff standing there dazed, Asher Land’s figure quickly disappeared from their sights.
After a long ti, one of the staff mbers woke up as if from a dream.
