"Mr. Johnson, long ti no see." Sophie Smith stood up and smiled slightly at him.
Yes, if you think about it carefully, it’s been more than three months since they last t. The last ti he saw her, her belly was still so flat that there was no sign of pregnancy.
He wasn’t here by chance; when he called Eva Miller, he knew Eva was with her, so he asked Eva to keep her there, as he wanted to co and see her.
Oliver Johnson hadn’t spoken for a long ti, sowhat lost in thought.
"Mr. Johnson? Could it be you haven’t seen for over three months and almost forgot ?" Sophie joked.
"How could that be?" Oliver curved his lips into a slight smile, "It’s really been a long ti. I wonder if Miss Smith would be willing to join for dinner?"
"Well..." Sophie looked a bit troubled, "Sorry, Mr. Johnson, I already have plans this evening."
She casually made up an excuse.
Eva Miller noticed the disappointnt on Oliver’s face; she paused in her thoughts, then spoke loudly in Sophie’s ear.
"Sophie, that’s not fair. Saying you have plans when you don’t, aren’t you just going back to have dinner with President Land? You can eat with him anyti, what’s the big deal about missing one al?"
Eva spoke quite bluntly, and Sophie felt a little embarrassed as her excuse was exposed.
"Well, okay then."
She nodded, agreeing to Oliver’s invitation.
Sophie felt it would be inappropriate to have the driver follow them, so she let him go back first. After dinner, she could have Eva drive her ho.
Oliver chose a western restaurant and booked a quiet private room.
Sophie quietly ate her al, then suddenly spoke up slowly.
"Mr. Johnson, how’s my dad doing?" Christopher Smith didn’t want her to be with Asher Land, so he refused to see her. Oliver had arranged for a dical team for him; he’s been taking care of him, and Sophie felt a bit guilty about it.
"Don’t worry, your dad is fine. His health is gradually recovering. He had surgery a month ago and is recovering quickly." Oliver said calmly.
"Thank you so much, Mr. Johnson." Her eyes turned red; she really felt like an unfilial daughter. She thought after giving birth, she must visit Christopher and properly apologize to him, clearing the air between them.
"Your Uncle Smith treats like a son; it’s only right I look after him."
Sophie raised her eyes and looked at Oliver sitting opposite her. Under the crystal lamp’s light, he mildly curved his lips, elegantly and slowly cutting the steak on his plate and occasionally taking a small sip of red wine.
She sighed softly, but Oliver still caught onto it.
He knew what she was worried about.
Christopher treated him like a son, but only saw Asher Land as an enemy.
This was the last thing she wanted to see.
After dinner, Oliver offered to take her back, but she naturally refused.
"Eva also drove here; I’ll just go with her, and I really don’t want to trouble you, Mr. Johnson," she said courteously yet naturally.
He smiled and didn’t insist further.

At this mont, the Land Family was in chaos, disrupted by Asher Land.
In the hall, the servants hung their heads, not daring to make a sound.
Asher Land kicked the coffee table over, items clattering to the ground.
"What the hell are you doing?" He grabbed a man’s collar, his face full of anger, "Didn’t I tell you to keep following her?"
